Nice points King ji.
Often Fashion is passion, wanting to look good, wanting to attract.
Everything has a reason unless it is peer pressure.
These days kids as young as three want fashion and good looks.

Ok I know it is one of my negative type post but this time i am not going to edit to please people. If something thinks i am negative, insecure, jealous, biased, loser so be it. Maybe I am all that. Who cares. However I wont edit it lol. These things were in my mind since some time and I need to say it somehwere lol
To answer specifically, yes we have this fashion dominated society where everyone is in this race to look better and they think fashion achieves that. But what are we really trying to achieve when we buy expensive clothes, jewelry, or wear makeup? Who are we trying to impress? How many are we trying to impress? If so many do get impressed by us then what will we achieve? an award? satisfaction? multiple boy or girl friends? tag of eye candy, hot bod, most good looking? love of life? marriage? praise? appreciation? What is that fashion brings to us?
Physical beauty is a reality and yes of course some have better looks than others. However physical attributes are God given and most people can't change that. I wish that we stop giving too much importance to things where there are inherent differences that are never going to change. There are only few who can afford fashion and to stretch their skin and trim their noses and even then there is worry of ending up nose-less like late MJ.
My belief is that in the end every person has some qualities which make them beautiful in eyes of someone. Doing anything beyond or doing things to impress many is not needed.

Well, I recently joined college and trust me looking fashionable every day can be tough, atleast for somebody like me. But it is imp to either blend in completely with the crowd, or create some weird mark of your own to avoid being stared at. Apparently, wearing loose tshirts and sandals to college is not cool. But once you sort out your priorities, you can do whatever you want. So, its all in the mind
