Part 149: Radhika & Dev. And let's have the fun

Dev stepped into his room with a very light heart, he saw Radhika tapping on Ruhi's back softly comforting her to her sleep. RAdhika looked at Dev once, as he went into washroom. Radhika was still standing near the bassinet, tapping , and humming to a soft lullaby

She felt Dev's arms circling around her waist line and she turned her face as she felt his lips near her lower cheek, pulling her more towards him, and his soft voice murmured near her ears: thank you.

Radhika felt the relief tone in his soft voice and she exhaled a deep breath.

"come soon" saying that he went to bed.

Radhika stood there few more minutes, and then seeing their baby in good sleep, she paused few minutes to ensure her comfort and slowly went to bed. Dev was in his small chirpy smile after a long time.

Radhika: so

Dev looked at her, and laying on his back, he pulled her towards him, and took her into his embrace.

Radhika just rested her head over his chest and wrapped her arms around his chest.

Dev looking at the ceiling: Thanks Radhika, I was not knowing how to tell all these to Dad, but you know what, now I am feeling a big relief. I still can't agree with what he did, or how he reacted, and if i try to put myself in such situations, maybe I may also act the same way.

Radhika: what situation?

Dev with a smile: oh Radhika, nothing, just an old story, but I told dad that I am not joining back.

Radhika: that is after lechu's marriage only , right?

Dev: no no, I am not joining back to our business at all, I have a different plan

She sat up

Dev also with a smile sat back: Ha Radhika, I am not joining back into this business world.

Dev with a smile: I don't know Radhika. I know I am changing, I feel like I am missing so many things, I might have achieved my dream, my profession in better way, but still there is something missing , which I felt when I was left alone in chandenpur. You know what, I was unable to sleep well, one or the other thoughts were flashing in my mind, but now after talking to dad , I feel like I can move forward, I can talk on my decision. All this time it was my dreams and my passion for work to get things done well, but then there is this next step that always pull me to achieve something which was unknown to me, all this time whatever satisfaction I was getting... was for that moment, but then there always something else to catch up with, each time it was my responsibility. But

The images are flashing in me every now and then, and it comes like a racing horse inside me and it just race away, giving that shock. I got feared and came running back to here, I thought I cannot ever get back to that place which was behind me like a mad world all this time. I was unable to take the fact that dadaji is alone, and he is trying hard to fulfill a dream, a dream that he saw with my dadi, how cute na... I wants to see his smile Radhika, i want to see hs happiness, i want to hold his hand and walk around and show him the greenery around...

Radhika's finger suddenly fell on his lips, he looked at her face surpringly for stopping him

Radhika: I am not understanding a word what you are saying, is that you just talked to papa, and did papa gave you permission?

Dev with a smile sat back: Radhika, it is not about getting permission, this is what I want, and I will talk to him later, maybe after Lehcu' smarriage

Radhika: but then who will be here???

Dev in a cool way: Sammy and Lechu heina

Radhika: but Sammy

Dev: ha Sammy, I will talk to him

Radhika: about what?

Dev: you leave that to me, you don't worry about anything, just think of Lechu's marriage now and then leave everything else to me ok.

Dev sealed her lips with his, that she looked at him with her cornering eyes, and he just pulled her more closer.

Radhika thought to talk to Suchi many times about Dev's change of mind, his unorganized thoughts, but the smile, the laugh the fun they were sharing with each moment that was passing made her to hold back.

Dev was extreamly energetic to welcome Sammy and his family, friends , and the near ones. The Bhatt family along with varma family stood near the gate with the malas in their hand. They heard the Barath from a long distance.

The friends were dancing and was trying to tease Sammy, but he was unable to concentrate and was praying inside for a safe landing.

Vickie came running behind and asked for his hand with a beat.

Mithi: ye Vicki, he is already scared sitting on the top of it, and now you are trying to distract him too

Sammy again moving his garland away: ha, now this is the only thing left out right, wow mithi wow, dosth ho tho aisa

Mithi: Sammy I am really thinking of Lechu, poor her,

Sammy: what poor her, poor me, see because fo all these I have to get on this , she is sitting inside an a/c room and resting comfortably... right, vaise ye kiske idea the?

Mithi: patha nahi kya, hamare poorvajom ne bhi aisa he aye the , saadi karne keliye

Vickie: and there was no problem reported so far

Mithi : ha, and if you fall from it, this will be the news for days, and Sammy think of it, it will be a big shame for us too, so hold on tight ok

Sammy: Mithi, you are lucky that I am on it, or

He slipped slightly and the ghodi just made its neighhh sound, Sammy got afraid and got back safely with the help of ghode wala and adjusted well to sit straight

Mithi: see I just told you

Sammy covered his face, and sat silently

Vickie: ye don't worry yaar, we are here, see Dev is coming to help you

Sammy kept his silence to focus on that short distance.

Dev came near and helped Sammy to get down from it. Sammy just gave a hug to Dev as he held him tight

Dev got surprised and hugged him back:

Sammy looking at Dev: one minute

Dev looked at Sammy while he went and gave a small whack on Vickie's head and then Mithis';

Mithi and Vickie: ye . what are you doing?

Sammy: teasing me! Hey, that also this Sammy ko, will see you all after this, now I am little busy , ok.

Sammy went back to Dev , the rituals started

Vickie: esse kya hogaya re

Mithi controlling her laugh: tension hoga,

Vickie looked at her surprisingly...

The gang: arre Mithi, let's move on , or else, he will run away with his bride while we get stuck here.

The gang just followed to the mandap quickly.

Suchi and Sushma brought the bride to the mandap. The gang took all freedom to tease Sammy, who was trying to see his bride's face.

Sammy mumbled: ye ghunghant kisne dala re

Vickie: arre yaar, kyum, kuch der keliye control nahi kar sakthi kya?

Sammy: Vickiii

Mithi: ye, chup reho, tiger is coming

Sammy stood still silently and the bride has been brought near the groom. The rituals started and the gang just lifted Sammy up as Lechu tried to put the varamala over his head.

Sammy: ye neeche utharna mujhe

Gang: kyum, this is our right

Sammy: utharna trying to look at Lechu to comfort her saying all is well

They tried to put him down, and as Lechu tried , they lifted him again

Sammy: arre yaar, ye aap log kya ker rehe hei, mere saadi hei yaar, abhi tho behave karo na

Gang: so what's the deal

Sammy: anything, as you say

Gang: pakka

Sammy: ha Pakka

Gang: ok then deal, here you go

Lechu stood there in confusion . imagining him being lifted up in air again.

The gang just pushed him towards Lechu and he almost landed on straight holding onto Lechu's shoulder

Looking at the wide eyes of Lechu thru her ghunghant., Sammy: jeldi dalna, nahi tho ye log, mujhse sab kuch loot lega, dalona

Lechu: um and in confusion put the varamala around his neck

Sammy: thank you

Lechu tried to control her smile

Sammy got lost in her smile that: Lechu, you look really beautiful

" we all know that, and you can praise her later, now if you can move back, we can continue with the rituals".

Sammy got shaken by the sound of Surender.

Sammy came back to reality and moved back

In between the gang tried to interfere him with one or the other demands

Sammy tried to convince them: arre yar, sadi tho hone dena, ye deedi bhi na, she can only see her Dev all the time, never even think that i also exist in this, and I have my own dreams, now she is trying to give me some space and you people are interfering. Aap log kaise dosth ho yaar

The time was moving fast with so much intereference from here and there and the function went fine.

Sammy was waiting with his gang, listening to their teasing.

Dev came in,: Sammy one minute

Sammy looking at the gang: told you, she can see only her Dev

Dev: Sammy

Sammy: ha Bro, coming

He went near Dev, and Dev put his arm around his shoulder

Sammy in mind: ye kya ker rehe hei, saadi tho ho chukka hei, aur ab kya?

Dev was walking to the corner with a serious face., Sammy was trying to read Dev's face and so many confused statements passed thru him

I have a feeling that dev wants to make it up for his dad,to do what he wasnt able to do:to help dadaji,dev wants to fullfil dadaji's dreams and for that he has to leave for chandrapur so he will leave sammy in his place to help with the office!!Dont know if i am rite devika,but thats how i see it!!I loved the update,the teasing,devs monlogue,his admiration for his mom that he wants radh too like that, and off course the way he made her silent with his lips 😳 Thanks devika!

Yes Myra... u r right.. the thread will go that direction only... so let'smove on with his plans and see how surender and suchi will respond to it... otherwise you are absolutely on my thought process.

In the last part--I missed importance of Suchi's role, until you pointed it out and then there was a ref. in Dev's conversation today---
Suchi was there to support Surender and never judge him...Dev wants Radhika to do the same...a true partner...
It was interesting to read Dev's POV---his reasoning for possibly returning to Chandenpur---his reasons are multiple and don't know which one is the most important; helping his dadadji, trying to fulfill the unfinished dreams of his dadaji, trying to compensate for what his dad did, somewhere trying to realize what his dad may have wanted but was not able to do, ---is this all his reasons? Or is it more so because he has changed?...Living in the a world of fresh smell, free spirit,...a dreamland..he has become more like his dreamy Radhika...Life has come full circle for him...

So the "Gang" came to Sammy-Lechu wedding too...sounds like they had fun too...

Loved the last pat...that was fully enjoyable ...
