Part 7
A sudden noise brought him out of his stupor in which he had been lost and to the present which made him realize she has been asking a question to him and has been waiting for his reply.
"Sir, may I come in?" She asked in her sweet voice.
Hearing her low and soft voice, an odd jolt ran like an eclectic shock all the way down his body.
"Yes, you may. Take a seat. What can I do for you?"
She came in, taking a seat passed on a file to him while he kept on watching her.
"Sir, I had an interview scheduled for today in your office and here is my resume." Thus smiling she handed him file.
He was a little surprised at her statement, as his secretary had not informed him about any interview but even then he took the file and went through the file.
"You come highly recommended by your professors at the university."
It irked him that he was not the boss of interior decoration department and did not have the authority to employ her. That was the day he felt a little regret, taking architecture as his subject though he was very good at it and had achieved a lot as result but today he felt a little jealous of his brother. His brother, always had an inclination towards designing and decorating and the pair of himself and his brother, one designing buildings and the other decorating it, was always a good combination and a great success. He did not want her to go and work for his brother and he wanted to be her boss.
"And your qualifications are satisfactory for our company"
He frowned a little. Why was he thinking about this girl, he did not understand. He had never felt jealous of his brother before, though his brother always had a string of girlfriends chasing him around. It irritated him more when he realized his brother's penchant for beauty and one night stands.
"First, you will have to work as a junior assistant. Are you ready for that?"
"Yes sir, I will do my best."
"After you have gained some experience and your in-charge is happy with your work you will be promoted"
"Given a chance, I will not disappoint you."
"No, you are mistaken. I am not your boss"
"But sir, I was told that I was to work under you"
"No, I am not your boss, but my brother is."
"Sir, your brother?" she asked, surprised.
"Yes, my brother. He handles interior designing and decorating Department. You have come to the wrong department."
"Oh! Sorry sir."
"Don't worry, I will tell Adi to guide you."
Professionally, she was prefect for the job but the truth was he wanted her to work only for him.
