Geet sat in the bus scared of her life...she wondered how did he find her..was there any escape from him? Will he ever change? How can she make him understand that relationships don't work with force. She wondered what he will do to her...his threat his dark promised played in her head again and again. She shivered with fear when Maan held her hand closely and gave her a smirk. That smirk was filled with promise and anger. In a way she was glad that she was in a public bus but for how long? Why hadn't he stopped the bus to get off? Why? What is going in his head? She couldn't move or say anything, she knew that he won't listen to anything anymore. What about her time? Would he decrease it? Would he give me another chance? Would he listen to what I have to say? So many unanswered questions played in her head. The bus stopped and everyone one by one started getting off the bus. Maan stood up and held out his hand for her to take. She slowly brought her hand up to put in his palm but before she could place it in his hand he grabbed her wrist and pulled her up. He squeezed her wrist really hard. She moaned with pain.
Maan: Does it hurt Geet? That is how I felt when I didn't see you home. That is how I felt when I had million things playing inside my head thinking something happened to you. (She looks at him..his eyes expressing concern for her but soon was filled with raw anger...) I told you Geet..don't do something you will regret. You made a big mistake. No matter what I will ALWAYS find you. I am your shadow Geet...and you cannot part away from your shadow. Your soul, your body everything is mine so what right do you have to part that from me? Answer me? (he tugs her closer to himself and digs his nails onto her wrist...she sheds silent tears...he takes her hand and starts walking...while Geet kept looking at his back..while he dragged her to god knows where.
I look at my shadow, scared of what I might see. A shadow of anger a angry shadow of me.
I try to hide from my shadow but it keeps finding me forcing me face my fears.

My shadow My shadow is the widow of my soul.There was a car waiting at the outside of the bus depot in Amritsar. Geet stops in her tracks, Maan looks back at her.
Geet (looks down): Woh main
Maan: I don't care what you have to say. Now sit in the car.
Geet: I want to visit the golden temple please
Maan (looks at her..) Do you think you are in a position to request something from me? (he pulls her toward the car..)
Geet: Please...you can't deny it...I always wanted to visit that temple...its gods home..please
Maan (lets go of her hand and smacks the car in anger causing Geet to jump back a little): One hour...NOW get in the car...(she quickly gets in...the car stops in front of the temple...she gets out of the car with a duppatta on her head..she looks at Maan who was still sitting in the car..)
Geet: Kya aap andar nahi aayenge?
Maan (looks at her with a cold expression): No...I don't believe in all of this...and just because I am not coming in doesn't mean that it will be easy for you to escape...I have all my men spread around...so don't even think about it...
Geet: Its not good to leave here without visiting Babaji...
Maan (looks at his watch and then at her) you have 45 minutes now...I am not going in..so if you want to visit your Babaji go right ahead
Geet nodes and walks toward the temple lost in her thoughts...what is it about him? Why does he have just hatred toward God? Why does he put this cold mask in front of everyone? Deep down she wanted him to share his feelings with her, his pain that could be visible once in a while in his eyes she didn't know why but she wanted him to share...Is she feeling sorry for him? Does some part of her like him? What is it about him that makes her not hate him as much as she would like to?
She hears someone yelling her name out loud...GEEETTT it kept getting louder and louder. Before she could turn around, when she felt someone gripping her tight spinning her around. She looks at Maan who had a lot of worry written all of his face...he shakes her couple of times to make her come out of her thoughts...
Maan: What is wrong with you? Didn't you see the car coming? (She looks from left and right and saw people standing there looking at them..Maan gives them an angry glare which made them leave right away..he shakes her again) Answer me? You could've just died...
Geet; Maybe it would've been better...
Maan (grips her hair) Do you really think I would let you die this easily? HA (he lets go of her..she stumbles back a little..He holds her hand and drags her toward the temple...both wash their feet...Geet covers her head with her dupatta while Maan covers his head as well. Both go around the temple taking Babajis blessing. Geet sits on the ladies side at the end for the prayers to start. Maan sat a little far away from her on the guys side looking at Geet as she hugs her knees and closes her eyes. Why can't she accept me? Our marriage? Why does she have to make everything so complicated? He closes his eyes...
Geet sat in the canteen of her collage. She couldn't hear or concentrate on anything that went around her. She looked at her friend Pari talking non stop but she couldn't hear what she was saying. She kept thinking about her date she had with Maan last night. Where would she begin explaining her friend Pari about what kind of situation she is in. She is scared and when she herself can't understand anything around her will her friend understand as well? How can they help her? He was scary..he was like a monster that came alive from some horror story...What was he exactly? what kind of monster?
Pari: Geet are you here? (she waves her hand in front of her eyes)
Geet (Looks at her and weakly smiles) umm yeah...what were you saying?
Pari: You didn't hear anything at all? Here I am talking about my date last night..(after the date word everything went blank...she didn't hear anything else what Pari said...soon Pari left leaving Geet alone in the canteen. Then she saw someone placing a soda bottle in front of her..she looks up and saw her monster standing there with a smirk...he sits across from her and looks at her...)
Maan: Thinking about me?
Geet (shakes her head yes and then no quickly..she begins to get up when Maan holds her hand..) I have to go...I have a class
Maan (looks at his watch) as far as I know...your classes are over for the day. How about you and I go out for dinner?
Geet (tries to free her hand): umm no I can't I have to go home
"Geet...here you are..." She turns around and saw Rohit standing there..he comes in front of her and hugs her...Maan looks at this with anger...
Geet (smiles): How are you Rohit. (Her talking to another guy boiled his blood more..)
Rohit: I am good...listen lets go to the movies tonight..I asked Pari as well...(Maan gets up throwing the chair on her floor causing both to look at him...he marched toward Geet and hauled her towards him by holding to her elbow...)
Maan: Sorry she is busy tonight and here on...
Rohit: And who are you?
Maan: I don't need to answer any of your questions...lets go Geet...(She felt like a puppet she wanted to protest but couldn't since she is not as strong as him...Rohit places his hand on his shoulder to stop him...Maan turns around and punches him on the face...Geet looks at Rohit who was on the floor with bloody nose.)
Maan (comes back to the present and didn't find Geet when he looked her way. He quickly gets up looking around with anger. At last, he found her near a tree tying a knot...he goes toward her and ties it for her knowingly. He holds her hand and drags her away...) Your time is up...(he puts her in the car and starts to drive off...He looks at Geet from time to time...) by the way it was a nice attempt to leave the house...sleeping pills in the food...(he smirks...Geet looks at him scared..her heart beat increasing every single minute and second) Now the question remains what should I do now? What kind of punishment do you deserve? (Geet held on to her dupatta tightly...she knew he would not go easy on her...he is a shetan after all...he looks at her with a smile..he stops the car in the middle of no where and turns off the engine...Geet looks at him...he takes off his seat belt and leans toward her...Geet puts her hand on the car handle and tries to open the door but couldn't...he takes her seat belt off and makes her look at him...) You could be so naive sometimes...(he bites her neck followed by a kiss at the same spot soothing the pain. Geet closes her hands with tight fist..) What should I do? (he whispers...he takes her dupatta off and throws it...he slowly reclines the chair making her lie down on the chair...Geet kept her eyes closed the whole time...she knew whatever she would say would not register with Maan...he comes on top of her..kissing her neck..shoulders..his hands were right at the bottom of her chest...making slow patterns...he bends toward her ear...) tomorrow night...(she opens her eyes and looks at him..) tomorrow night will be our first night...and i can't wait for it...(she sheds silent tears..) DON'T...(He roughly wipes her tears...he gets off of her and starts driving...Geet just stares outside of the window...everything looked so far away as if it was untouchable...she now knew..she can't escape this shetan...but she also knew that she would never accept him...)
