The rigorous working schedules in the television industry takes a toll on actors' health, many of whom have either fainted or are forced to work despite being unwell. In the last week, we saw Rakhi Sawant fainting on the sets, Gurmeet Chaudhary ill with fever, Drasthi Dhami had cold and cough while Kavita Kaushik had to be hospitalised for exhaustion. I met with an accident one half month ago while I was shooting for Gulaal. My car was completely damaged and the trunk of the car came inside and hit me on the head. I ended up with partial haematoma in my brain. I was advised to rest for six to seven days but it is impossible when you are playing the lead in a daily soap. However, I was grateful that they let me go home on the day that I met with the accident. After that, I continued to shoot for three to four hours a day. The body needs rest but that was impossible, since we had no bank of episodes. I suggest that the whole format of telly world should be changed like in Hollywood, we should shoot an entire series before it is launched on TV.
