Real books Vs e-books. Wut's ur choice ?

Offlate, I've been downloading some e-books from the web and I feel great comfort in lazing out on the couch and having to read a great number of classics on my ipad perfectly balanced in my tummy 😆 .

It is technology and however appreciative we are towards it, do we miss out on the joy the real books have to offer ?

I do concede that I've been a spendthrift at shopping for books having said that I have always wanted build a rumpus room to spend quality time with my titles. Reading has always been an invariable part of my day. I read to find pleasure during boredom, my moments of solitude and control of emotions when stressed out. What does reading mean to you ?

Throwing light on e-books, I prefer them as I can fit a whole lot of them in a gadget and carry with me wherever i travel without having to bear its weight when it comes to real books. The gadgets also provide a good visual experience as far as the graphics of the gadget is concerned. Amidst some of the advantages, I do miss out on physically turning the pages of a book, scribbling notes or keeping a peacock feather (which I believed for it would increase my intelligence).

To that end, what kind of books serve more purpose ?

Nothing beats the feeling of turning a page in a real book that you can hold in your hand. I like reading before I go to sleep, and most of the time, I fall asleep clutching the book in my hand. You can't really do that with a gadget. I do read books online, but that's mostly when I don't have a choice. I hate reading on my laptop, but my Ipad has definitely made things easier. It's lightweight, and it has that whole page-turning feel, even if virtual. I read a lot of pointless literature that I should probably not be spending money on anyway, so it all works out in the end. If it's a book I really want to read, I usually wait to get my hands on a hard-copy, even if it's from the library.

I HATE writing in books, so I never do that, but I do leave bookmarks in my books that I enjoy finding after a few years. All that isn't possible when you're reading on a computer.

I like reading regular books rather than e books , simply because it puts a strain on my eyes, it's exhaustive too.

Plus I'm so used to reading books the old fashioned way I doubt it'll ever change for me, it's not that there's anything good and classic about reading a book, it's just that I'm used to regular books, and the only ebooks I read are on stock trend analysis. I haven't used a kindle yet though.

But better than both books, are AUDIOBOOKS! 😃 Man, and if the narrator is really good, it's AMAZING. No effort, and it helps you go to sleep more easily. I;ve read pg wodehouse, darren shan and dean koontz on audio.

Also when I was a kid, my parents got me stories for six year olds, which had stories like sam and the magic stone, and the cake called albert... man, good times.

I love E Books as it saves a lot of space. I hate to carry loads of books to give away.
I may just keep one or two books that I cannot tear myself away from.
Welcome E Books, luv it. Also I can take a peek on my iphone too.
