Geet sighed as she looked at Ayush sleeping on the sofa. The whole house was a mess by his things...he spent the whole day talking and showing her every single picture. She never thought that he would actually manage to take picture of where ever or whatever he did..litteraly. She smiled and looked at the picture of his shoes showing he is currently walking and then the picture of their bus then the picture of his seat then the picture of outside the window...well the list goes on and on...Every single pictures were on the floor scattered...she had a long night ahead of her to clean up the whole place. She looked at his camera and took Ayush picture of while he was sleeping. She puts the picture on the table and goes to Ayush to wake him up.
Geet: Ayush beta come on get up...(He stirs in his sleep...) Looks like I have to carry him inside...(She bends down to pick him up) Alright Ayush lets go...(He hugs her around her neck. She gently pats his back and moves toward the room when the door bell rang. She sighs and goes to open the door. She was shocked when she saw Maan standing there. She hugs Ayush tighter and was about to close the door on him but Maan stops it by putting his foot between the door. She looks at him with anger.
Geet: How dare you? Let go of the door.
Maan: Geet I came...
Geet: I don't care why you came. Leave right now.
Maan: Ssshh Geet Ayush is going to get up...
Geet (hugs Ayush and moves back a little) Don't worry about Ayush. I am his mother I know what is best for him.
Maan (steps inside the house and looks around): hmm seems like you were busy today...(he looks on the floor filled with pictures...he picks one up of Ayush and Annie..Geet comes and snatches the picture away from him. Maan looks at her shocked) Geet whether you like it or not I am his father. Don't you think he has the right to know?
Geet: NO...he doesn't need to know...Listen Mr. Khruana...
Maan: Maan...call me Maan..(he steps in front of her and caresses her face) remember you used to call me Maan...
Geet (moves her face and steps away from him) You lost that right and I no longer remember my past.
Maan: Really? (he moves closer and closer to her and holds her hand) I doubt that...(he puts his one hand on her waist...Geet closes her eyes) I think you still remember the past..
Geet (opens her eyes) Yeah you are right...I do remember the past but not the pat you are thinking of...I only remember that day when everything broke..I can never forget that day...
Maan (closes his eyes in pain and moves back a little): Geet what do you want me to say or do to make you believe that I will never do that again? I had realized what I did later
Geet: NOTHING...there is nothing you can do OR say that will make me forget that day. That day was suppose to be special but you made it into a curse for me. It is too late now...I am happy with my son
Maan: you might be happy Geet...but is your son happy? He longs for his father...don't you think he has the right to know?
Geet: You don't have to worry about him. I will tell him when he is ready..now you may leave...
Maan: I didn't come here to leave this easily Geet. (Ayush stirs in his sleep)
Geet (hugs him) What do you want?
Maan: You and Ayush but for now I want something else...
Geet: what?
Maan: I want to put Ayush to his bed (Geet backs up)
Geet: NO...that will not happen...so now you can go...
Maan (sits on the sofa..) Alright how about food made from hands...
Geet: Why cant you just leave us alone?
Maan (gets up from the sofa and comes near her...he holds her hand and kisses it) because I already have done that..I cant do it again...I know what you are to me...you are my life and Ayush is my soul...how can I live without both?
Geet: Just like you have been living all these years...
Maan: You mean empty with a big hole in my heart? I can't live like this anymore Geet..I need you please give me another chance...
Geet: Food is on the table...I expect you to leave right after...(She goes inside Ayush's room to put him to sleep...she gently lies him down on the bed and kisses him good night...she jumps when she felt Maans hands around her waist...she was about to say something but he covers her mouth with his other hand. He bends down and gives Ayush a kiss good night..Geet struggled in his grip to be let go...Maan ignores her and picks her up and carries her outside to the living room...) Put me down...
Maan: Do you remember this is how I carried you after our wedding?
Geet: No...(she turns her face the other way)
Maan: Then do you remember our first night?
Geet (closes her eyes) No...(He slowly circles her waist with his fingers...) stop (she says in a low voice...)
Maan: Seems like I am having some effect on you...
Geet (opens her eyes realizing what she did and what he said...) put me down...
Maan (puts her down on the chair...) There...
Geet: now you may leave...
Maan: I told you that I will leave after I eat food made by you
Geet: Then eat...its all on the table...
Maan: I want you to serve...
Geet: Well that will not happen...
Maan: You wanna bet? (he winks at her..he takes her hand in his and brings it toward the daal bowl...he takes daal and puts it on his bowl followed by rice...Geet gets up to go as soon as he lets go of her hand. He slightly watches her as she picks up scattered pictures from the floor...Maan comes and stands behind her after done eating. He hugs her from behind and whispers in her ears) The food still taste the same... just like I remembered...thanks for this...(he kisses her on her cheek...) I will be back again...(he leaves leaving Geet dumbfounded...)
Why is he doing this to me? Isn't it enough that I have suffered so much in these six years that he wants to bring all the old memories back in my life? The same memories that I do not cherish anymore. The same memories that have become nothing but big nightmare...how I even make him understand that it is too late for me to forgive and for him to realize his mistake...

Ayush was at home in his room while Geet was in the kitchen. He comes out after finishing his homework...
Ayush: Mom can I call my friend Annie?
Geet: huh umm sure and make sure you only talk to Annie
Ayush: okay...(He goes to the phone and dials her house number...) Hello...can I speak with Annie please?
SD: hmm she is in the bathroom...
Ayush: ohh okay..bye (he was about to hang up the phone)
SD: wait before you hang up what is your name?
Ayush: I am her friend Ayushman but my friends call me Ayush...
SD (smiles..."Ayush? He is Geet's son...so Annie and Ayush go to same school...") okay Ayush...that is a nice name
Ayush: Thank you my mom named me (SD laughs) you know what it means?
SD: umm no why don't you tell me what it means
Ayush: it means life...by the way aap kaun hai?
SD: I am Annies grandmom
Ayush: ohh so can I call you G-ma...for short?
SD (laughs) umm sure...I like that name...
Ayush: Thank you..okay g-ma could you tell Annie to call me. I have to ask her something...
SD: okay I will beta...bye
Ayush: bye
Geet: Ayush who were you talking to?
Ayush: Annies Grandma...I call her g-ma
Geet: hmm okay go inside and play for a little while. (she smirks "forgive? how can I forgive him when our relationship was based on a lie and deceit from the beginning?")

Geet went to work by now she knew everything that there is to know about her position. Her boss was very happy with her and with her skills. Now she felt confident enough that she can stand on her two feet without help from anyone. She was really great full for Yash and his help. She will never forget him nor his friendship. She goes into her boss's cabin. Both shared very casual and very friendly relationship with each other.
Geet: Good morning Vicky sir...
Vicky: Geet I told you to call me just Vicky since we are working side by side
Geet: Sorry its a habit
Vicky: Anyway, you have to go to a meeting today for lunch. Remember Mr. Dev Khurana our client? (she nods her head yes) well he can't make it today for the meeting so instead someone else is filling his place in this short time. I want you to attend the meeting and talk about everything.
Geet: Sure sir..
Vicky: Alright and after the meeting make a report in details and have it go over with Adi and the staff. I have to leave tonight for another important matter so you will handle the client until the project is over.
Geet: Alright...thank you
Vicky: No problem. See you soon
