Recap:

Geet: "We are getting married next week!!!"

Geet felt Maan's eyes on her and she knew that he was shocked. But she didn't looked at him and kept on looking ahead towards the reporters.

Maan was staring at Geet when some reporter's question breaks his trance and he came back to reality and answered the reporters.

After answering few questions, Maan said to the media that he has an important meeting and has to go.

So the press reporters left leaving Geet and Maan alone.

When everybody has gone, Maan looked at Geet with his arms crossed around his chest but did not say anything.

Geet was looking on the ground but she could feel his stare on her and she knew he was waiting for an explanation.

Geet looks up at him slowly and he picks up his eyebrows on her questioningly but didn't say anything.

Geet was feeling very uncomfortable. She didn't know how to tell him but she made herself say"Maan..." and she looked down "I'm sorry I know I should have talked to you before announcing about our marriage." She looks up at him and says fastly "and believe me I did wanted to talk to you. Remember I even said I need to talk to you in your cabin, but you didn't listen to me!" she said in one breath.

Geet saw that Maan was looking at her with a slight smirk.

She said with a baby face "Tum mujhpe hans rahe ho?!" and then she says in baby anger "Ye sab tumhari galti hai! Agar tumne kal wo sab na kiya hota, to aaj hum is situation mein nahin hote!! Lekin nahin! Mr. Maan Singh Khurana kisi ki baat sunte hain, jo aaj sunege?! Main..." [its all ur fault! If u haven't done all that yday, then v wouldn't hav been in this situation! But no! has Mr. Msk ever listened to anybody that he would listen today?! I...]

Maan didn't let her finish and put a hand on her mouth making her quiet.

Geet looks into his eyes surprised at his actions.

Maan says with a husky voice "Geet, don't you get tired of talking so much?"

He takes off his hand from her mouth and continues "Aur waise bhi, did I ask for any explanations?" and he takes a step back and says "Geet, I don't know what are your reasons for agreeing to this marriage and believe me, I don't want to know either! I'm just happy ke tumne mujhe apni zindagi mein shamil karne ka faisla liya hai!"

Geet looks at him with serious expressions "But I want to tell you the reason for my this decision!!"

She looked on the ground and paused for few moments and continues "Maan, if we don't get married now, those pictures in the press are gonna ruin everything for me. Maybe you don't know this, my dad is a man of old values. He values his family honour more than his own life. If he sees these pictures, he's gonna kill me and then himself. And the media is not gonna stop publishing them until we get married. And if we don't get married, this process is gonna go on and on until everything is finished. Once we'll get married, media hype will slowly die. Maan I love my parents very much and I can never let them down. Maan you are a very good friend of mine. I have never loved you the way you love me and I'm not even sure if I'll ever be able to love you like that or not. But don't worry, I have a lot of respect for the institution of marriage. I will try my best to be a good wife!! So the decision is yours now. If you think you can accept me as a friend to be your wife, I'm ready for this marriage. But even if you cant, I totally understand." Geet looks at him in the end and had unshed tears in her eyes.

Maan takes a step towards geet and cups her face in his hands and says "Geet, I love you so much that my love is enough for both of us. It doesn't bother me if you love me like that or not. It is enough for me that you consider me as your friend and love me as your friend." And then he changes his tone to lightness and says "Aur phir kya pata, Maan Singh Khurana ka jadoo kab tum pe chal jaaye!! After all, I'm too irresistible!!!"

Geet smiles at his little remark with tears still in her eyes and says playfully "Don't you think you have a lot of misconceptions about yourself? You are not that handsome that Geet Handa can fall for you!!"

"Geet Handa nahin, Geet Maan Singh Khurana!!!" he said with a smirk.

Geet smiles and hugs him friendlily. She felt weird kind of satisfaction in his embrace. How much she was craving for a friendly hug like this in the middle of all this mess of her life!

She thought how her life has turned upside down in the last few weeks. She has fallen in love, she has fallen out of love, she had her first heart break, she lost her virginity, and now... she's getting married to someone that she doesn't love! WOW... What a life!!!

She hides her face in his chest and hugged him more tighter. She just wished that the million thoughts in her mind that hasn't let her sleep peacefully in the last few days to just stop for once!! She did not want to think anything... She wished there was some way that she can stop her mind from working.

She looked up at Maan and whispered "Kiss me!"

Maan was surprised at her sudden demand. It wasn't usual for geet to ask him to kiss her. Every time that they came close, it was always Maan who took the first step. Not that he minds it.

Maan gently brushed his lips on hers and then taking her lips into his. He kissed her gently while nibbling.

And Geet was right. The moment they started kissing, her mind becomes blank. It was a total bliss not to think anything for a change. She let herself loose into his kiss and kissed him back while her hands still hugging him towards her.

And suddenly they heard a noise and they broke apart with the realisation of someone's presence.

When geet looked around, she saw Vicky standing at the door with the utmost horror and shock on his face.

The first emotion that passed through Geet was of shame and embarrassment which changed to anger pretty soon.

She smiled coldly and said "What are you still doing here Vicky?"

Geet didn't know why she was behaving like this. But the anger of being played with was making her to show that she was happy. She knew this was childish but her ego was too big to let Vicky know that she was still hurting inside by mere seeing him.

Vicky did not reply but just kept on looking at the couple in shock. He was numb with shock.

Maan says with a cold smile "Vicky, good that you are here! As you would have heard" Maan takes geet into a side hug and says while looking at her "we are getting married next week." And he looks back at Vicky and says "So Vicky, I want you to personally look after all the preparations. Main shadi mein koi bhi kami nahin chahta!!"

And he says to Geet "Chalein sweetheart! Hamein ye khush-khabri Dadima ko bhi to sunaani hai!!"

Geet just smiles at him and leaves with her chin up while passing Vicky.

GEET AND MAAN IN THE CAR

Maan stops the car in front of dadima's bungalow.

Geet has been silent all the way in the car. She has been lost in her thoughts.

She didn't even realise that Maan has stopped the car.

Maan looks at Geet and found her lost in thoughts.

He said "Geet!"

No reply.

He said again but a bit louder "Geet?"

"Huh?!" Geet comes out of her thoughts.

"Chalein?"

He is about to get out of the car when geet says "Maan, I need to talk to you!"

Maan looks at her and says "Bolo Geet"

Geet says "I want to keep this marriage at a very low profile!"

Maan: Geet you know its not possible! Khuranas have a very high profile in society, and being the eldest son, its my responsibility to see that every big decision is taken according to desired expectations. And moreover, Dadima has a lot of dreams regarding my marriage. Even if I agree to it, she is never gonna get ready for a simple wedding. I love Dadima very much and I cant break her dreams Geet.

Geet: Maan, meri poori baat to sun lo pehle!! I'm just saying that because of this media hype, I cant tell my parents about this marriage right now. They'll kill me if they come to know anything about this. So that's why I want to keep it a small affair. Once we will be married, the media hype will die slowly; and then we'll tell my parents. And then in their presence, we can get married again on a large scale." She finished expectantly.

Maan gave it a thought for a second and then said at last "Okay!"

Geet gets relieved.

And then Maan says "Ab chalein?"

Geet nods and goes inside.

Dadima welcomed geet very warmly. Dadima was very happy that Maan was getting married at last. She was a bit upset about the media hype, but after meeting Geet, all her worried vanished.

Dadima says "Geet beta, I'm very happy that Maan has at last decided to settle down. I'm very happy for both of you!"

Geet was feeling a bit uncomfortable in the beginning as she remembered that day in the mall when she has lied to Dadima about their marriage. So she said "Dadima, wo... mall wali harkat ke liye I'm very sorry. It was just a joke!!"

Dadima smiles sweetly and says "Beta, bhool jaayiye us baat ko. Hum to kab ke us baat ko bhool bhi chuke hain. Aur waise bhi, Maan ne hamein sab kuch bata diya tha. Ghabrayiye mat, humne bhi jawani mein aise bohat se mazak kiye the."

Geet smiles and hugs Dadima.

Geet has instantly started liking Dadima. Geet felt like she was the grandma that geet always wished she had and Dadima also felt the same for geet.

Geet and Dadima clicked instantly.

Geet was sure that after marriage Dadima was always gonna side her instead of Maan.

The whole week passed swiftly with the preparations of wedding. At first, Dadima was not happy about simple marriage, but on geet's insistence, she agreed.

In all of this, the one thing that was itching Geet a lot was that Vicky has vanished all of a sudden. Maan had told her that Vicky had to go to US due to some major legal problems in business, and that he will be back by their wedding day.

Geet didn't know whether she was happy or sad about this news. Something in her heart was telling her that something is definitely not right...

Why would Vicky leave all of a sudden? If he was going on business trip, how hard was it to inform her that he was going? After all they are still friends! And now there's gonna be another relation between them... devar and bhabi!! Geet didn't thought that it would hurt her so much to think about their new relationship let alone live it. But they have to live it. Vicky is just her past but Maan... Maan is her present and future. She will not ruin this new relationship for her past. Vicky and she started their journey as friends and now they will stay as friends for ever.

She was happy that Vicky still doesn't know about her feelings for him. So it would be a little easy for her to keep that friendship alive. But why didn't he tell her? What if he also---??? No! He is married!! That's a fact which cant be changed!!! So why did he leave without telling her?

Geet had no answer to that. So she decided to block all those thoughts away and got busy in the wedding preparations.

For the whole week, geet had tried desperately to put her mind in the preparations. But she couldn't get rid of the strange nagging feeling of restlessness. There was a constant war inside her regarding her decision. No matter how hard she tried to reason with herself that this is the right decision, but somewhere inside her she was not satisfied with her decision. She was feeling something was not right.

She tried talking to pinky about it, but pinky advised that its normal for a girl to feel restless before marriage. So she tried to divert her mind towards the preparations.

WEDDING

They had decided that they'll do court marriage now and when the media hype will die, they'll marry with all the rituals in presence of Geet's parents.

Geet and Maan went to the court and in the presence of Pinky, Dadima, and some close family friends of Maan, they signed the marriage certificate. Hence declared man and wife by the marriage registrar.

Geet and Maan came back home (Maan's home and now by default Geet's home too) and Dadima does all post-marriage rituals of Khurana family.

After some time, Maan's phone rang and as he saw the phone screen, his facial expressions changed. Geet could clearly see anger and stress visible on his face. He excused himself and went outside to attend the call.

When Maan didn't return for some time, Dadima and other ladies took Geet into Maan's room and left after geet entered the room. Correction, 'their' room now.

As geet entered the room, her heart skipped a beat at the sight. The whole room was decorated with flowers, especially the bed, which looked like the bed made of red roses. And geet remembered that its their SR!

She looked down not really knowing how to react. To be honest, she hasn't thought about this till now. She felt her cheeks flushing and she could feel the heat radiating from her face.

It is true that they have already slept with each other, but the decorated bed was giving her goose bumps. Her hands were shaking and her heartbeats have increased at an abnormal speed.

She was having million feelings in her. She was happy, sad, excited, nervous, restless, shy, scared all at the same time. She seriously didn't know what's the name of this feeling or why she was feeling like this. The feeling was totally alien for her.

She wondered if every girl feels like this on her first night, or is it just her.

She was relieved that Maan wasn't here yet and maybe by the time he will be here, she'll probably be able to control herself.

She closed her eyes trying to relax herself but her heart beats weren't ready to slow down.

She looked at the time and it was 10:30 pm.

She thought of changing into her night suit to divert her attention to something else..anything actually, from the x-rated images that were popping into her mind about her soon-to-be SR!!

She opens her suitcase and takes out her night suit and turned to go into the washroom.

Suddenly a noise of something falling with a thud made her jump.

She looked back towards the source of the noise and her eyes popped open in shock...

AUTHOR'S NOTE

hey frnds

first of all, i want to apologise for late update. Recently wasnt feeling up to writing anything.. i dont know just some of those days when you feel that nothing is going on the way you want it to be... Just a feeling!!

Anyways, back to the update, I know this is kind of a filler update but there's some little things in it that r also important for the story. for e.g. geet didnt tell her parents about the marriage as we know from the beginning.. And didnt want to show too much of their Mumbai wedding as I'm saving all the details for their London wedding😉

And just want to inform you guys that we are very close to the present now. Maybe a couple more updates and tada!!! we are back to London!!!🥳

OK and last but not the least... I know I have left it at the worst cliff hanger and I'm sure all of you would want to muder me for that 😆.. if not murder then throw tomatoes and chappal for sure😆😳 So bring it on girls!!!🤣
