Waiting for the update Ritzy.

Friends, I understand that most of you are upset over this track. So, I will try to bring back the track to normal story line very soon. But like CVs I can not leave open loops so will try to finish this track as quickly as possible.

Chapter 68 – Back to the Angel

As soon as Rishab saw Maan he grabbed his arm – "Maan….Annie ka phone tha….Geet is not well…she is in the hospital and Annie is panicking…she doesn't know what to do….doctors are giving her some options but she is not able to understand anything"

Maan eye's widened – "What!!! But what happened"

Rishab – "Is sab ka time nahin hai Maan…some thieves entered the house and one of them knifed her. Now she is in hospital"

Maan felt as if somebody had taken away the floor away from his feet. His soul ripped apart in pain. He just stared at Rishab with nothing more registering his brain. Rishab was shouting at him but Maan just stood silently. He was paralyzed by thoughts of Geet in pain.

Adi shook him and took him inside a nearby washroom. He splashed cold water on Maan's face.

Maan stared at Adi as cold water cut through his haze. His head reeled with the thoughts "Mishti….is in pain….she has been knifed…..No!!!!!!! How can this happen…My Geet….My Mishti"

Suddenly his head started screaming at him – "Maan you can not loose it…You have to be strong….Geet needs you…Your Geet needs you…kuch nahin hoga use jab tak tu uske saath hai… agar Geet teri jagah hoti to she would have been strong. Think about bade pa and badi ma….about Rahul….if she was in your place she would have been strong for her love…for her family….you can't let her down Maan."

Maan looked at Adi and his own words resounded in his brain – "Your Geet needs you" Maan just nodded at Adi who was trying to calm him down and walked back outside. Rishab looked at him expectantly. Maan took his phone and dialed Annie.

Maan – "Annie….kya bola hai doctor ne tujhe"

Annie repeated what doctors told him.

Maan – "They need to stabilize her BP immediately and then take her for surgery. Her blood is thin and her bleeding will not stop without the stunt. Don't worry I will talk to them. You just be there and tell them what I said and I am sending someone there for you…don't worry"

Maan then called Dr Sood.

Dr Sood – "Congrats Maan!!!!"

Maan – "Please sir, I have a family emergency. My sister is in the emergency wing with a patient – Geet Khurana. She is my family sir and she needs immediate medical attention." Maan then briefed him about the situation and his diagnosis.

Dr Sood – "Don't worry Maan, she will get the best possible medical attention. I will immediately page Dr Mathur and he will assist Dr Sahini in the surgery."

Maan thanked him and told him that he will be travelling back as soon as possible. He requested him to keep him updated on her progress.

Then Maan called his secretary Raashi. He explained her the situation in brief. Maan – "Raashi, please go and stay with Annie….She is really lost. Please look after her and I will be back by tomorrow"

Meanwhile Raj called Preeto and asked her to go the hospital. As she was out of town she said she will be there by next morning.

He then called Sasha to go to hospital immediately and take care of Annie and finances.

Adi walked inside to intimate the hosts and get Juhi, Nisha, Rahul and Pari who were confused by Maan's sudden departure and still oblivious to the storm raging outside.

Maan called Annie again telling her about Dr Sood, Raashi and Sasha. He gave the required numbers. Maan asked with heavy voice – "Annie…tu thik hai na?"

Annie understood his worry – "Haan Bhai….main bilkul thik hoon…kharotch bhi nahin aane di Geet di ne"

Maan closed his eyes as tears welled. Geet's angelic face stood in his eyes giving him an unknown strength to go on.

Rishab called the airlines meanwhile booking whatever tickets available.

They hurried to the hotel while Rishab gave all the details. Nisha was hysterical but Juhi calmed her down. Rishab had managed 3 tickets thru Air India, 5 thru Lufthansa. Pinky agreed to come next day thru another Air India flight as no other tickets were available.

They checked out of the hotel to catch the flights. All of them were reaching India next day around 12:00 afternoon. Maan checked with Dr Sood again and was informed that surgery had ended and Geet was still unconscious and under observation in recovery room. Other than her BP, other stats were stable. Dr Sood told him to calm down as he was personally taking care of Geet's case. He also informed him that he had checked up on Annie too and she was fine. Maan thanked him and informed him about his itinerary.

Their flight was filled with an emotional silence. All were relieved hearing about her surgery but still the longing to hold their life in their arms lingered on…..

Next Day 8^th November 12:30 PM Medicity Hospital

Maan, Raj and Nisha reached the hospital first. Nisha almost sagged into Raj's arms as they reached near Geet's bed. Annie came and hugged Maan tight. Maan just held her in his arms letting her sob. He looked at Geet with Annie still in his arms and his heart wrenched looking at the pale form of Geet. She looked worn out and tired. She slowly opened her eyes and smiled. She struggled and removed her mask - "Dad…Mom….Sorry aap sab ko dara diya maine…aap logon ka trip bhi kharab ho gaya meri wajah se"

Nisha scolded her – "Shut up Geet". She touched her cheeks lovingly. "How are you beta"

Geet started to talk but her breathing was getting erratic. Maan intervened – "She should not talk much". He put her mask back and caressed her hair lightly. – "You rest Geet….I am here now. Everything is going to be ok" Geet looked at his eyes and blinked. "Yes, her Maan was here and everything is going to be ok now."

Maan checked her and consulted with the surgeons. He stayed whole night along with Raj, just staring at her pale face. He couldn't even blink an eye. He had an urge to crush her into his arms but her pale form made him realize her fragility.

Maan did not leave her side even for a minute. He used surgeon's dorms to freshen up and stayed even at nights. One of Raj, Nisha and Rahul were always present but still Maan would not leave her alone.

On second day, Rishab tried to convince him but to no avail – "Koi fayda nahin hai Dad….main nahin jaaoonga….use liye bina I am not going anywhere"

Everyone was going thru so much emotional turmoil that nobody had strength left to argue back. Only person who could convince him was Geet and she herself was most of the times so heavily sedated to even gather her surroundings.

Three Days Later, 11^th November

Pari was busy in getting the downstairs guest room ready for Geet. She was coming back home but her movements were still restricted. She was running around doing last minute things and checking if everything was ready.

Geet came back and settled in the bed. Maan again checked her pulse and asked her to rest. She looked on lovingly as Maan explained her medicines to Nisha.

Geet's st – "I am really proud of you Maan. Thanks for taking care of the family….I love you"

Maan's POV – "I cannot get weak. I have to be strong. I can not let my pain add to her or family's anguish."

awesome update loved the determination from maan it's good to see that geet is not in much emotional stress it's only because of maan she doesnt want him to get pain looking at her condition
