Part 16
Maan turned Geet towards her. She felt different. She looked different. Her hazel eyes were now bright red which frequently switched colors and then her skin color, it was near to baby pink and now it was pale white like someone had applied POP on her entire body and her soft skin was now replaced by hard marble-like texture. Maan stood there shocked and amazed at his new Geet but then realising her presence, he jumped to hug her tightly. This time, it wasn't his Geet, it was the Vampire Geet who had been waiting to revenge on him since a long time. When Maan hugged her, his neck went very close to Geet's mouth which now lodged her recent grown fangs and her bright blue eyes. She was snarling in a low voice but which could be heard from far distances by her kind. Milind and Ayesha scuttled through the forest in an enormous high speed tracking the snarls. Geet's snarl was eventually increasing...
Geet's eyes were glowing and they continued to glow even brightly. She was about to sink her sharp teeth in his neck when suddenly
GEET!!
She lost her focus and her fangs disappeared. From the midst of fog and mist, 3 silhouette emerged which slowly grew larger. Maan loosened his grip around Geet and turned back to see who they were. Milind slowly went near Geet and embraced her to calm her anger down.
Milind (whispering): ssh! Shant ho jao Geet! Control!
Geet snarled and growled: I won't leave him, chhodo mujhe Milind!
Milind held her firmly as he instructed Ayesha in his thoughts to take Geet's charge. Ayesha drifted towards Geet slowly and hugged her. Maan stood there dumbstruck and motionless seeing first Milind and then Ayesha hugging Geet, he was all confused.
Then slowly, Ayesha escorted the ferocious Geet away. Meanwhile,
Abeer: Mr. Khurana?
Maan turned back and saw a young man with butter-scotch eyes.
Maan: yes?
Abeer: kaafi raat ho chuki hai! Aapko ghar chale jaan chahiye!
Maan: haan pur Geet?
Abeer: Geet bilkul theek hai, aap jaiiye!
Maan: mujhe usse milna hai! Baat karni hai!
Abeer: Aap abhi waapas chale jaiiyee please!!
Abeer escorted Maan to their car and then left Maan in his hotel. Maan was still quite baffled by Geet's behaviour towards him though he had expected something like that to occur but like that, but this way he hadn't expected. He had expected Geet to shower a huge amount of anger but on the contrary...This Geet was even more moan and silent. Once in his room, he fell on the floor feeling guilty for what he had done to his Geet. The chirruping Geet now was a still as ice Dr. Geet.
Geet's Residence
Geet was brought home with a shawl clad to her and accompanied by Ayesha. While in their house, she was made to sit on the sofa and Ayesha sat beside her. Geet was quivering heavily and her eyes were filled with big, round tears. Slowly Geet moved and rested her head on Ayesha's shoulder.
She mumbled: Ayesha! Mere saath aisa kyun? Babaji ne humesha mujhe hi...
She left the sentence unfinished and her voice broke into a cry. Ayesha patted her many times but her moans didn't seem to end.
Ayesha: Geet, please!
Geet: Ayesha, unse bolo yahaan se chale jaye, main unki shakl bhi nahi dekhna chahti.
Ayesha was about to speak when Milind interrupted: Mujhe Geet se baat karni hai akele mein.
Ayesha and others got up and left. Once alone, Geet looked up and saw Milind staring at her. She dropped her head in guilt.
Milind: Geet!
Geet tried to explain: Milind listen, main nahi karna chahti thi. Pur pata nahi kaise mujhse yeh ho gaya
Milind: maine tumse koi safai maangi?
Geet: nahi pur main
Milind: Geet pehle shant ho jao! Samjhi tum
Geet: hmm.
Milind took a stool and sat in front of her
Milind: remember, do saal pehle
Geet: do saal pehle meri zindagi barbaad kar di thi unhone
Milind: barbaad, nahi Geet tumhe paakar humara adhuri family complete ho gayi, mujhe meri behen mili
Geet: maine to sabko kho diya na, mera bachcha!
Milind: kya tumne ek family nahi payi?
Geet: hmm! Pur
Milind: yaad hai, woh shuruat ke mahine when I taught you everything. From drinking blood to hunting and hiding yourself?
Geet: yup, mujhe aaj jo bhi aata hai, its because of you!
Milind: Remember who you are Geet?
Geet: Milind kitna aasan haina yeh kehna?
Milind: nahi aasaan nahi hai, lekin tum humesha se ek quick learner thi! To aaj meri wo Geet kahaan hai?
Geet: main hi to hoon.
Milind: nahi.
Milind tickled Geet. She smiled weakly and then hugged him tightly.
Geet: how can the people call you monster!
Milind: Coz I am one!
Geet (smiled): No!! You're the best veerji!
Milind: I know!!
Milind thought: Itna nafrat karti hai Maan se...phir bhi aajtak 'aap' se 'tum' tak nahi aayi...aaj bhi Maan ki 'unhe' leh kar hi bulati hai...pagli...
Ayesha and others smiled seeing Geet coming back to normal.
5 hours later,
Abhijeet who was out of scene for a couple of time entered. Geet was resting on the sofa. He went near and woke her up. Though she wasn't sleeping.
Abhijeet: Geet?
Geet: arey Abhijeet, aap! Kaise hain?
Abhijeet: fit and fine aap bataiyye?
Geet: ekdum changi-shangi
It was after nearly 2 years that Geet had used Punjabi boli. She was herself surprise while Abhijeet found this new change quite amusing.
Abhijeet: aap Punjabi to badhi wadiya bolti hain!
Geet: yeh bhi mera ek gun hai! Main basically Punjabi hoon!
Abhijeet: oh really! That's Great!
Geet: tonu bhi Punjabi-Shunjabi aati hai?
Abhijeet: thodi thodi!
Geet: badhiyan baat!!
Abhijeet was way too happy to find this change in her. He loved her smile and her eyes.
Chandeena Tent
Chand: Haseena, un dono ki kuch khabar mili?
Haseena: Maithili-Siddharth?
Chand: Of course not, un dono ki?
Haseena: Abhay-Piya? Nahi, wo humara koi baat sunne ko tayyar nahi hai. Ek to yeh Piya dikhti bikul Maithili jaisi hai pur harkate bilkul alag.
Chand: hum kar bhi kya sakte hai unka? Pata nahi Abhay ko Piya mein kya dikha jo humse alag ho gaya!
Haseena: jahaan bhi ho,laut ke zaroor aayega!
Hotel:
Maan sat on his work table trying to concentrate but just couldn't! This wasn't acceptable to him. He had seen Milind hugging Geet and then at coffee shop Abhijeet hugging Geet. He thought- Geet ne mujhe bhula kar itni jaldi dusri shaadi bhi kar li! Who mujhse itna pyaar karti thi.
