Ekta Kapoor's urgent visit to Sunita Menon

It's widely known that Balaji Telefilms' Ekta Kapoor never takes major decisions without consulting tarot reader Sunita Menon and other assorted pundits.

So last week, when Ekta needed an urgent consultation, she made a trip to the set where Sunita was shooting.

20-minute session

Ekta interrupted the shoot and had a closed-door meeting with Menon. According to a little birdie, "Ekta needed some very important advice from Menon. And it was important enough for her to meet her in person, instead of chatting on the phone. Her meeting with Sunita lasted about 20 minutes."

Actress Simone Singh, who was with Sunita, confirmed that Ekta had come to meet Menon in private. "But I have no clue about what they discussed," she said.

Menon, too, did not divulge details of the visit. "Ekta came and waited patiently. Our meeting was important, and needed to be done in person. It could not be discussed on the phone. But I cannot tell you why she came. It's against my principles to leak out what I am consulted on."

According to Sunita, Ekta did not come unannounced. "Anybody who meets me comes with a prior appointment or intimation," she said.

Kapoor confirmed that she met Menon that day. "Yes, I did go and meet Sunita. Once a week, I go on the sets of every show of mine. This was just one of those visits."
