Finally, after many difficulties, I am now publishing my thriller post. Sorry once again for taking so long to post this one. This one is a way too long, but I think you'd be able to read it with racing pulse. Please read the whole post and give feedback.
*******************************************************************

"20 years ago, on this day, God sent an angel to earth. This innocent angel was destined to meet a hapless guy several years later so as to render colour and meaning to his existence. Her innocence and charm gave him the enlightenment that the words 'earth' and 'heaven' meant the same. At present, he might be able to survive without air or water ; but not without that angel. As a mere human, he is privileged to be wishing that angel a happy and joyful birthday. Happy Birthday Navya & I love you...yours lovingly Anant."

The irony of his situation amazed Anant. Couple of weeks before, he had been rejoicing like hell as he wrote these lines on a birthday card. The same birthday card had revealed his relationship with Navya to her mother. The card which had been intended to consolidate their bond had endangered it.

With a pointless hope that Navya would be online, he turned on his laptop and logged in. A girl was indeed online; not Navya, but Appy. Before he could type 'hi', her message popped up, "Anant, badi gadbad ho gayi hain."
"Kya?", he asked, wondering what could be worse than the present situation.
"Ritz ne tumhe bataya tha na?"
"Nahin"
"Lekin usne kaha ki Anant ko phone karke bataya"
"Woh sab chodo, woh log kab jaa rahe haim?"
"Aaj...mathlab kuch hi der mem. Mem aur Ritz aunty ko samjhane ki poori koshish ki. Lekin woh maanne ko thayyar hi nahi dhi. Ab kya karein?"
"Mem Navya ke parents se baat karoonga."
"Paagal ho gaye ho kya?"
"Aur mem kya karoon? Kuch bhi ho jaane do...mem abhi jaake unke parents se baat karoonga"
"Lekin Anant..."

Anant had logged out. Bewildered, Appy dashed to get her mobile to call Ritz.

Anant rummaged through his wardrobe to find a shirt. After choosing a presentable one, he grabbed the key of his car and sped to the exit. He flew to the car's driver seat and turned the key. The engine sprung to life. Within seconds, he was proceeding at nearly 100 km/hr towards his destination - Navya's house. Little did he know that 800 meters away, Navya and her family had already entered a car.

Fifteen minutes later, Anant slammed the brakes in front of Navya's flat. He jumped out of the vehicle and dashed towards the building. Sprinting as fast as he could through the stairs, he arrived at the door beside which a nameplate was fixed namely 'Mishras'. There was no point in ringing the bell because the door was locked.

I don't care what's gonna happen now. I have to call her. He searched his pockets for his mobile in vain. I left my phone at home!!!

The sound of several footsteps made him turn in the direction of the stairs. Thinking of some of Navya's family members, he was relieved to find Appy, Ritz & Ranbir racing towards him.

"Kya hua??...sab chale gaye??", Ranbir asked. Anant nodded with utmost disappointment. But he wasn't ready to give in.

"Chalo guys, railway station chalte haim. Tum logom ko koi darr nahin haina?", he asked.

"Darr toh zaroor hain...lekin tum jo bhi karne jaa rahe ho, hum tumhare saath hain", Ritz said reassuringly.

Wasting no time, the quartet descended the stairs and sped towards Anant's car. Ranbir occupied the front passenger seat while Ritz and Appy took the back seats. But this seating was short-lived. The car had hardly covered 100 meters before it came to a halt abruptly. Anant turned the key again and again but the engine wouldn't start. Apparantely, the car wasn't willing to serve them in this mission. Cursing his ill-fortune, Anant got out of the car along with the other three. They found themselves stranded in the middle of a deserted road bordered on either sides by thick plants and trees. There was no sign of any vehicle. For about 10 minutes, they stood there as such. Then suddenly, as if sent by God himself, a mercedes benz came into view. It was approaching them slowly. The four friends desperately waved their hands for help. To their relief, the car pulled up. The driver was a middle-aged man. He wore a black suit and a tie & looked like a businessman of some sort. Anant poked his head in and asked, "Sir, kya aap hamem railway station chod denge?".
The man said, "maaf kijiye, mem ab ek zaroori appointment ke liye ja raha hoon. Aap logom ka madath karega toh late ho jayega."
"Sir please, hamara wahaan pahunch jaana bohat zaroori hai.". After some time's thought, the man agreed. As they got into the car one-after-one, they made a quick acquaintance with the man.
"Mera naam Harilal Chawla. Ek professional counsellor hoon. Aur aap log?"
"Mem Anant. Aur yeh Ranbir, Ritz aur Appy. We're classmates."
"Aap log itne jaldi wahan kyoon jaana chahte ho?".
Anant quickly explained how he & Navya had fallen in love with each other and how things had deteriorated all on a sudden. The man looked sympathetic. "Aajkal Mumbai mem aise parents hai kya?", he asked. Anant replied, "Sir, Mere gharwaale isse bhi ghatharnaak hain. Mujhe nahin patha woh log yeh sab jaane wakht kaise react karega. Sir, aap please jaldi chaliye."

The car zoomed through the road towards the railway station at an average speed of 100 km/hr. In fifteen minutes, they reached the railway station. Without even bothering to thank the man, the quartet dashed to the foyer of the station. The man called out from behind, "Ruko, Mem uss ladki ke parents se baath karne ki koshish kartha hoon. Ho saktha hain, woh log mere baath ko shayad maan jaaye."

They stopped simultaneously and looked at each other. The four pairs of eyes told to each other - This man is a counsellor. Surely he knows how to talk to people and persuade them. Taking him along is worth a try.

"Teek hain, jaldi chalo", they shouted in unison. As they made their way forward, a loud announcement was made - "Yaathriyam kripaya dhyan de, Mumbai se Kanpur jaanewaale Kanpur express kuch hi der mem platform number theen se nikal jaayega."

All four of them were literally paralysed for a second. Anant's mind was racing - Platform number three - we're standing on platform number one. How do I get there as fast as possible???. Think Anant, think!!. If I am to get there by safe means, I'll have to go around & pass platforms one & two via the stairs - which will consume a lot of time; then, then...what else??.

The answer was right in front of his eyes. Some distance away, he could see the board which read 'Platform 3'. In between his present position and platform three, there were two railway tracks. Once he managed to pass those tracks, it was platform three.

"Come on guys, tracks cross karke vahaan jaldi pahunch sakta hain", he said, already running."Paagal ho gaye ho kya??. Uss tracks par trains kab bhi aa sakte haim.", cried Appy. "Kuch nahin hoga, chalo", he gave an uncertain reassurance.

"Navya ko phone karke dekhte haim", said Ritz, taking out her mobile and typing a number. "Hello, Navya...Tum Train mem
chad gayi kya??...kis compartment mem ho??...Tumhare parents saath mem hey kya??...haan...bolo...kya...teek hain...hum station mem pahunch gayi...aur...". The line went dead. "Kya bola unhone?", Anant asked anxiously. "Line disconnect ho gaya...sirf ithna bola ki unke parents Navya aur dadi ko station chodkar vaapas ghar gaya."

''Toh ab mere yahaan rehne ka koi mathlab nahin haina?", asked Harilal. "Nahin, aap ruko. Navya ki daadi ko kaun samjhayega?",said Anant. They dashed forward towards the first track. Although the others hesitated for a moment before descending from the platform to the railway track, Anant jumped onto the track fearlessly. They crossed the width of the track and climbed to platform number two. Standing there, they could clearly see the train staying at platform number three, Mumbai-Kanpur express. Now it was just one more track seperating him and Navya. As he ran forward, the face he had been craving to see appeared across the distance. Inside a compartment, Navya was gazing outside with tearful eyes. As his four companions lined up behind him, he called out aloud, "NAVYAAA!!!". As though she had waken from a dream, Navya gave a start & looked in the direction from which the familiar voice had come. Enormously thankful that Navya was still there, Anant sent a relieved smile towards her. Before she could respond, Anant had jumped to the railway track. He was so intent on reaching her that he failed to notice a train approaching through the track from a distance. Ranbir, Ritz, Appy & Navya screamed, "ANANT HAT JAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!". Navya dashed out of her train, without even bothering to notice the confused look of her daadi sitting beside her, who followed her on seeing her grand-daughter's frantic behaviour. Looking sideways, Anant's face flooded with horror; like a deadly monster, the train was closing in. This horrifying sight paralysed him for a second so that when the train was just meters away from him, he found himself unable to dodge. As the train inched closer, Ranbir's face contracted, Ritz clapped her hands over her mouth, Appy shut her eyes tightly & Navya looked as if there were no life left with her.

50 meters...40 meters...30 meters...20 meters...10 meters...

BANG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The sight was horrific - completely disfigured, torn into a thousand pieces and thoroughly shattered. Ranbir stood horror-struck, Ritz & Appy screamed and Navya's daadi fainted, falling to the nearby bench. Navya couldn't move a muscle. And finally, apparently uncertain as to whether he was dead or alive, Anant looked around. The remains of the train were scattered all over the place. He was as confused as anybody standing there. A miracle had just occurred - instead of smashing him into numerous pieces, the train had exploded a safe distance away from where he was standing. Realizing what had acutally happened, Navya ran into his arms and hugged him tightly. After some time, they parted. Their dear friends held out their hands & lifted the pair to the platform. After a while, they learnt from the railway authorities that the train had already had some serious engine problem earlier & had exploded due to this reason. Nobody was hurt; since the train had not been carrying people, but some fancy items & other household goods. Navya called her papa & informed him that daadi had fainted at the station after seeing the explosion. After some discussion, her dad decided that it wasn't right for her daadi to go to Kanpur with such health. And by extension, it wasn't right for Navya to go to Kanpur alone - in short, her Kanpur trip had been cancelled!!!!.

The friends were finally bidding farewell to Harilal. "Mem madath karna chahtha dha. Uske bina hi sabkuch teek ho gaya", he said with great pleasure. "Aapke bina hum yahaan time par nahin pahunch sakte dhe. Uske liye shukriya", said Anant. "Woh toh koi bhi kartha. Hamesha khush raho. Hey bhagvaan, Mera appointment...mem chalta hoon."

Harilal entered his car and kicked off the engine. As he drove the car into the distance, his mind was screaming out with fury and disappointment. I never meant to do any of these, I had to do this for my survival!!!. I have done things I should never have done!!!!.

For some weeks, misfortune had been haunting him - he had lost all his prosperity, aura & everything. The people who had respected & admired him, stopped even looking at him; his beloved sister had gone mad - smiling and laughing frantically without any reason. At last, he had approached an astrologer , who said, "Yeh sab aapke karmom ke zaza hey. Aapne bohat saara paap kiya hain. Ab aapke woh pehle jaise zindagi vaapas paane ke liye praayashchith karna hoga. Uss insaan ki madath karo jisko aapne sabse zyaada dukh diya hain. Uske baath dekh lena, aapko woh khushi bharaa zindagi waapas mil jaayega".

So reluctantly, he had decided to do what the astrologer had said - under disguise. He kept on waiting for the right time. Then, one day, the chance knocked on his doors - he accidentally got possession of the other person's mobile. Today morning, the phone had rung. By pressing a switch, he could listen to a friend of the person whom he was supposed to help. Unaware of who was actually holding the phone, the friend had revealed all the prevailing situations and was urging to do something. Although the truth about the other person was shocking and infuriating, he understood this was his chance. By threatening a businessman, he got a suit & a posh car. And then, he went to roadside and parked the car behind a tall tree. He was sure that the other person would take this route to reach the destination. At last, the other person's car came into view. Standing behind the trees, he merely stared at the other person's car and it got damaged instantly. As the other person and his mates were searching desperately for another vehicle, he drove the stolen car to them like a saviour. He acquainted with them under a false name & offered his full help. Upon reaching the station, the other person had foolishly jumped to one of the tracks. Although he would have loved to see him getting crushed by the approaching train, he needed to save him to get back his lost power. He stepped to the edge of the platform with the other person's mates and stared at the train with full concentration. In a matter of seconds, the train had exploded into a million pieces. Nobody had any suspicion, believing it to be a case of engine failure.

Harilal slammed the brakes of the car. He examined his new look with utter disdain in the car's rear view mirror. He raised his hand and removed the hay from his head. Shankar Dayal Bajpayee massaged his magnificent bald head with utmost care. Hey prabhuji, yeh sab karne ke liye hamem maaph kardo. Humne iss ek din mem parampara ke khilaf bohat kuch kiya. Lekin ab yeh zaroori dha. As he put back the hay on his head and drove forward once again, he turned on the car's radio and was relieved to hear a bhajan coming out of it. His heart leapt with joy at the realization that he would be able to dominate the world once again now that he had done his redemption well.
