At the Patwardhan house, Daksh is upset at the invitation of Sonakshi, for her birthday part, and he is adamant, and says, that he has no intention to go to it. Naina on the other hand, agrees, that as the situation stands, they can not tell the family members about themselves, but at least, he should inform Sonakshi about his intention to break the engagement. Until that time, she will be expecting him for the birthday part, and his absence will hurt her. Daksh tells Naina that he does not care about her feelings, and he has made up his mind. Naina tries to convince him, that social conventions should be maintained, even in cases like this, and it is proper for him, to at least to show up at the party. When Naina fails to change his mind, she says, that she has no more work to do with him, and she wants to leave. He pulls her towards him, and aks her where she would go. But she tells him, that she wants to retire for the night, and then he lets her to go.In the bedroom, Naina tries to go to sleep, but her eyes do not doze off, as she is thinking about Daksh and his predicament. Just then, Daksh too, unable to sleep, goes to the door of Naina and hesitates, but Naina too unable to sleep, throws the covering from her body, gets up from the bed, and moves to the door, and opens it, and is surprised to find Daksh standing there. She asks why he has not gone to sleep. He in turn asks, why she has not slept, and both agree that they have the same problem vexing them. Daksh finally tells Naina, that he agrees to go to the party, if she too would come. Naina, tells him, that it will look odd, to go to her party uninvited. Both leave the matters to sort out by themselves, in the morning and go to sleep.
In the morning, Daksh is ready, and goes downstairs where he meets his mother and Naina. He asks, why she is not ready. She tells him, that to go uninvited is not nice, but the mother tells her to go, as her Chintu will feel better. They decide to go eventually.In Sanket's bedroom, Rohini is counting the various points which appear to be offensive to her, in the case of Naina, being given special treatment in their home. First she points out that it was because of Naina, their mother had to break her relationship with her sister, then it was because she goaded Akruti to be self reliant, that she landed in her trouble, and she was also instrumental in the break up of the proposal of her sister to Daksh. Now she knows for sure, that she will again come in the way of Sonakshi, which she will never allow. Sanket is fed up with her, and quietly allows her to vent her feelings, with the hope she will finally relax, but to no avail. Finally he walks away from her, and minds his own business.
AT the birthday party venue, Sonakshi's friends, girls and their boy friends, have gathered chirping a lot about this high society friend of theirs, and are waiting for her arrival. The cake is set on the center table, and now they see her walking down the stairs, in a black dress, and are over joyed in high expectations of having a good time, at her expense. They want to know when her handsome fiance will arrive. She tells them, she expects him shortly.Daksh is driving to the venue, with Naina, and as he parks the car, she once again expresses her apprehension. However, he tells her, that if she does not come up, then they both will turn the car back, and go home. She yields to Daksh, and they take the bouquet of flowers and go up and Sonakshi with great anticipation goes to meet him, hugs him, and gives him a kiss on his cheek, and waits for him to wish her. Reluctantly, Daksh in a dry voice, mumbles the wish, and looks very uncomfortable. Sonakshi looks at Naina, and lets out her barbs, judging from what she says, it looks that Rohini's turtoring and falsehood has taken effect, and Daksh and Naina can not understand from where her antagonism has come. Yet, Naina wishes her but does not get any response from the birthday girl.
Sonakshi drags Daksh to the cutting of the cake, and as she blows off the candles, you hear a cacophonous rendition of "Happy Birthday" sung by the high society girls, obviously not good at singing. She inserts a piece of cake into Daksh's mouth, and expects him, to do the same, but after making her wait for a while, he feeds her a piece of the cake. Sonakshi takes pieces to give her friends, clasped between her thumb and forefinger, and walks past Naina, and shoves it in the mouth of her first friend.
You can expect more in Sunday's episode, where things are bound go go haywire. Star Plus will have a Maha Episode on Sunday, 14th August, at 8 p.m. IST where Daksh will give Sonakshi the answer she deserves to hear.
