Yashashri Masurkar bags the lead role opposite Chandragupta in the Imagine show..

Yashashri Masurkar enthralled one and all with her simple girl next door look in Rang Badalti Odhani, and now she is all set to play the lead role of a gorgeous princess in Imagine TV's popular show, Chandragupta Maurya. The show produced by Sagar Arts and 72 Degrees Northe took a 10 year leap last week with the introduction of the grown up Chandragupta in Ashish Sharma. And this Saturday, the entry of Mrignayni, the Princess of Takshila will be shown.

Mrignayni will be the girl opposite Chandragupta Maurya. However, the audience will see a twist with both Chandragupta and Dhananand (Sooraj Thapar) falling for Mrignayni.

When we contacted Yashashri she confirmed, "Yes its true, I will be seen playing Mrignanyni's character in Chandragupta Maurya. I am excited about the role because its very different from Khanak. This is the first time I am playing a character that was in our history and also I am excited about the look its gone be very much different from the character that I have played till now."

Let's see how the Ashish-Yashashri chemistry builds up..

She is prity but i don't like her much
Why yaar , i was not expecting Tanvi but not this gal..
Sorry if anyone loves her m not criticizing her but i can't imagen this pairing :-(
Btw was'n CGM married to some greek princess i can't recall her father's name rite now, who send Megasthaniz in CGM's royal court 4 friendship..

darling, CGM married the daughter of Selucus as well as part of their friendship. We all know CGM married many girls but only legitimate son was Bindhusara, the successor of Chandra Gupta of Mouryan empire.

Hope the CV's wont make a mess with this historical show with love triangles.😉

i knew abt channayak, that he was a grt. techer, & something bt of CGM 😕- nothing 😭

I have not studied or known anything abt the grt India king hehehehee😆

I also dont know abt d India King ...yaar school mein nahi padhaya ...we had Shivaji n Gandhiji (but i like both these n especially Shivaji ...my fav 😊)

girls i am a fan of yashashri Masurkar who is going to be playing princess mrignayni

she is a very talented actress and she won the second runner up in 2009 shravan queen beauty peagant held by maharashtra times

just like u feel asish with tanvi would have been better yashashri was extremely popular with karan tacker and their onscreen pair was called shanak and off screen pair yasharan and they have had a magniicent burning chemsity

their show Rang badalti odhani a love story successfully ran for 365 episodes nearly one and half years😊

it is painful for us to to see her oppsite someone other than karan tacker

But we know all this is part of profession so accepted it cheerfully and we welcome her with asish too

hope u guys will support her too with ashish and rest thank u very much 😊

Thanks for sharing. Someone on the CGM forum said that this princess marries Dhananad in the real story, so if they are following the true story, she is just one love interest. Regardless, I will want to see her performance before judging her. I'm sure Ashish will have great chemistry with her because he is very talented.

After playing a subdued and doting bahu Khanak in Rang Badalti Odhani, Yashashri Masurkar is now all set to try her hand at a complete different genre.

She has bagged the role of grown up Mrignayni in Imagine TV's historical show, Chandragupta Maurya. Playing the princess of Takshila, Mrignayni will marry protagonist Chandragupta in the near future. An elated Masurkar says, "I am excited about the role because it's in complete contrast to Khanak. I am doing a historical show for the first time and it's quite an interesting opportunity.

I want to keep doing more versatile roles." Talking about her fascination for this particular genre, she says, "Historical shows are interesting as they take us back in time. As an actor, it's a challenge to play someone who existed so many eras ago. You also transport the viewers into the past." We hear that the damsel is going through mixed emotions as she is both happy and sad at the same time. While she is completely in awe of the character of Mrignanyi and can't wait to play the same, she also has to shift to Baroda permanently for sometime as the set of the show is erected there. Well you can't have your cake and eat it too!

about the yashree yap she had great chemistry with karan just hope that thr pairing will look good as they both are nice actors n AS is great when it comes to chemistry what say gals😉
