Geet was driving home from office wholly preoccupied with her thoughts about Siddharth-Maithili and of course her shocking clash with Maan. She had one of her stone legs placed hard against the accelerator and other on the clutch as her car roared through the thick dense jungles.
Maan was walking through the same road with a photo of his beautiful wife in one. He was so sure that whatever had happened last night, geet had something to do with that. On his way, he found a cab driver who was driving home after his daily errand
Maan signalled him to stop and then bent down to talk to him through the window
Maan: bhaiyya, aap roz isi sadak se guzarte ho?
Driver: haan sahab, aap bataiyye na aapko kahaan jaana hai?
Maan: kahin jaana nahi hai kuch poochna hai!
Driver(scared): aap CID waale ho?
Maan: nahi to! Aap meri baat to suno
Maan extends Geet's photo: aapne is ladki ko pehle yahaan kabhi dekha hai
Driver photo ko kai baar ulat-palat ke dekhta hai: nahi sahab! Maine kahin nahi dekha!
Maan: theek hai, tum jao
Driver: nahi, ek minute sahab, zara wo photo dobara dikhaiiye to!
Maan: kyun?
Driver: sa'ab lagta hai maine shayad in madam ko dekha hai
Maan(eyes brightened): dekho aur jaldi batao
Driver gazes at the photo for 2-3 minutes: sa'ab yeh to woi madam hai jo police mein hain na?
Maan: haan! Kahin dekha hai inhe?
Driver: haan sa'ab kai baar tv pe dekha hai!
Maan: arey yr, mera matlab hai yahaan aas paas kabhi dekha hai?
Driver: nahi sahab...(after thinking for a while) arey haan sahab, aaj subah hi jungle mein ek laash mili hai, cid waale yahaan subah se chakkar laga rahe hain. Ho sakta hai madam bhi aayi ho! Main aur kuch nahi jaanta
Maan: tumhara bahut bahut shukriya!
Driver: achcha sahab, Namaste!
Maan: haan, Namaste!
Maan moves forward and starts towards a mud path leading to the forest. He is walking on the pathway when he hears strange footsteps. Someone is following him. He looks back to find nothing. He continues to walk. Whilst in the heart of the forest, he finds himself surrounded by eerie voices including shrill cry of the cicada. He moved his eyes around sensing someone near and dear and then eventually had given up when he heard low snarls. He turned his neck towards a side where 2 blue dots shined from the dark. They were exactly similar and situated at an appropriate distance from each other. But then another snarl sounded from another side.
Maan turned aside and looked into Geet's eyes...
Ayesha and Milind stood at the door tensed and terrified and waiting for Geet. They feared if the Vampire couple which was there some time ago hadn't done something to Geet. They hated her indefinitely.
Milind: Where is Geet damn it!
Ayesha: Milind, I think humein jaa kar use dhoondna chahiye, what say?
Abeer: yup Ayesha, guess you're right. Chalo Milind! We need to be sure she's safe
Milind: hmm, let Leher come home, tab chalte hai!
Ayesha: ok!!
Meanwhile, away from the main city, a tent situated at the foothills of some Sahyadris
Haseena: yeh Geet, ise to main zinda nahi chhodungi
Chand: Haseena, we need an elaborate planning, that girl is too strong to be handled without any plan
Haseena: you're right Chand! But what to do? She's never alone!
Chand: we need to make her alone. Maithili ko bolo' uspe nazar rakhe!
Haseena: hmm, jaise hi dono aate hai, I'll speak to them. Chand 'unke' baare mein pata chala?
Chand: nahin, pata nahi 'who' dono humse kitna upset hai. They're very hard to trace
I wonder? Kaun dono? Abhi kya Sid-Maithili kam hai kya, jo aur do log aa gaye? Well let's see
Milind and Ayesha are roaming helplessly in their living area
Milind: where's Leher Abeer?
Abeer: pata nahi, aaj use kaafi time lag gaya
Milind: every second, we could push Geet to death. Humein jaldi karna hoga.
Abeer: hmm, ok let's leave a note for her.
Milind: yup!
They leave a note for Leher and then all of them leap out in search of Geet.
Maan looked into Geet's eyes and then back to the two dots which had disappeared all of a sudden.
Maan looked back and saw Geet retreating
Maan: Geet!!
Geet stopped mid-way. She had yearned for this voice for so long and then finally it was him again. She turned towards him with red eyes. She wondered why tears were flowing from her eyes. It was not a Vampire characteristic to shed tears but then only Maan could have the power to make Geet cry and she knew that. Geet hardened herself and then turned back again to not wanna see his face which was full of love for her. Maan moved forward slowly and then encircled her hip from the back. Geet gasped and threw herself in his arms. Maan shivered hugging her but his eyes...they were dark red with tears depicting his pain and sufferings he had gone through in the past couple of years.
Maan: Geet!
Geet remained silent
Maan kissed her neck: I am so sorry! I love you.
Maan turned Geet towards her. She felt different. She looked different. Her hazel eyes were now bright red which frequently switched colors and then her skin color, it was near to baby pink and now it was pale white like someone had applied POP on her entire body and her soft skin was now replaced by hard marble-like texture. Maan stood there shocked and amazed at his new Geet but then realising her presence, he jumped to hug her tightly. This time, it wasn't his Geet, it was the Vampire Geet who had been waiting to revenge on him since a long time. When Maan hugged her, his neck went very close to Geet's mouth which now lodged her recent grown fangs and her bright blue eyes. She was snarling in a low voice but which could be heard from far distances by her kind. Milind and Ayesha scuttled through the forest in an enormous high speed tracking the snarls. Geet's snarl was eventually increasing...
