I hope the priest that witnessed the marriage would help stop Bharka from marrying Dev.
They are making a mockery of marraiges here in CB... so sad... the they i mean the CVs
first they got Dev and Radhika married while playing around ...witnessed only by that one priest ..
second, they got Radhika married to Rohan - all rites done except for that one final phere - no other witness - Rohan' words against Radhika's
then they made Radhika come to PH as pretend wife... I already felt that that point that it was a stupid move ... I always wondered how was Radhika going to clear herself ... it was wrong for her to come to the PH as a wife of rohan when she knew she was not ... we are not talking of just any household, we are talking of a purohit household.. a very sanctified household where one must follow religious and societal norms... you don't play around with the dignity of such a family... Radhika was wrong in this instance ... I love Radhika but she made a bad decision the day she decided to hide the truth... SEE this is what happens when one avoids the truth.
Can you blame society if they point a finger at Radhika... we know she is pure because we have the advantage of seeing her everywhere in every circumstances... but Zeeland society did not see anything as far as they are concerned she was Rohan's wife and lived in the same hosue as Rohan (and didn't they even share the room at one point - i may be wrong here not sure); she was going to be a rajpurohetein... then DDJ starts to speak and claims Dev is the youngest and will therefore be the RP... and lo and behold... Radhika speaks up about how she is not actually married to Rohan...
Now Radhika is made to marry Dev and become the RPtein.
Can you blame society, especially an uptight society like India where everybody's business is everybody's business... (at least it appears to in Zeeland).
Then Radhika ominously tells Dev (i already had a bad feeling when she said this) that the feelings of society must prevail above individual feelings in regard to the land dispute... do you hear the death knell!!!
Then when society protests... what does the RP household...they leave it to Radhika who the mahant that she is will probably say that her feelings are not important at least not above the society's feelings and step down...sob sob
and promptly the RP household get Bharti married to Dev (if what the writeups says is true). Like by doing this the purohit dignity will be purified.. as far as i am concerned... it condemns them even further for having wavering principles.
What utter nonsense!! Why can't the RP speak to society and explain the truth and that as it is the truth that Radhika did not marry rohan and it is the turth that she didi not lead a married life with rohan and affirm and reaffirm the purity of her name, her character...and get Dev and Radhika married... that should be the way...
i know the last para cannot happen and will not happen... that society's demands will be met rightly or wrongly...
:) ... now what was the topic? i forget and ranted on... anyways at least i got this load of my chest... i'm at peace ... at least for today... ;)
