By unlocking your BlackBerry, you will be able to use it on other GSM network. Even if you have a CDMA BlackBerry, like the Storm, Tour or Bold 9650, you can still use them on GSM networks because they're Global Smartphones. You might also want to purchase an SPC code to remove the "Activation Required" message after unlocking the phone.
