I heard that story on the news just now, they were hit in a hit and run, the car hit them, whilst they were flying, the car hit a side curb turned and was off...there were witnesses to the murder and one person has been arrested and the police have retrieved the car already and are putting it through forensic tests.

I think with the UK riots people should just observe a curfew go out everyday and get back in the house by 6pm. Even if the government doesn't call a state of emergency and enforces this curfew the people themselves should do it, it's useless to go and protect a building from vandalism, you are more important, you are not infallible, you are mortal and can be hurt or killed.

My condolences go out to the families of the tree men who have died. When I heard of the riots in London I did not think for a single moment that it would spread to our other cities.
These men were protecting their mosque, community centre and business fom the mindless yobs who have jumped on a bandwagon. They are simply looting because they can.
Rest in peace.
BTW well done to Sangat TV for their coverage of the riots in Birmingham and the reporting of these death.

I heard about that, it's really sad what's happening in London and watching it on the news, I just think to myself, what's the point in doing all of this?

Curfew needs to be earlier than 6pm it started a good hour or so before that in West Bromwich. Scary thing is I got home an hour before it sparked off. Its so sad that 3 lives were taken away for no reason at all. I hear they are allowed to use water cannons now, I wish they were strict from the onset and rolled out curfew, army and water cannons and anything else they could throw at it maybe it wouldn't have spread to other parts of the country. They certainly need to increase the police force and not cut it down as it is so desperately needed.

I think the public and authorities need to figure out what is the cause of the riots and address that. From all the news I have read about the riots, it just seems to be a random phenomenon, with really no one true cause tying the uprising together. It is almost as the youth in UK has too much time on its hands so they have taken up rioting.

Also, I understand that this is maybe not the appropriate place to have this discussion. However, I am happy to see that other peeps also think about real life along with serial life.
