full-fledged verbal attack against actor Asin on a TV channel, saying
that 'she has no future in Bollywood'?
The reason apparently is that the film producer did not take kindly to
the fact that actor Asin refused his offer of a 'low budget' film,
according to a source. According to Asin's close friends, Mukesh tried
to get in touch with Asin through his agents for a film that probably
had a "third grade actor" as a hero along with their in-house hero
Emraan Hashmi.
"At this age, if people like Mukesh Bhatt are
deciding the fate of heroines in Bollywood, then God save our industry,"
says a casting agent who worked with the Bhatts once.
The actor's spokesperson said that they are aware of the statements made against Asin, but prefer not to react to it.
"We
are sure that Mukesh will now deny making an offer to Asin that had
a pre-fixed acting fees lower than her market price. Besides the sleaze
element in it, Asin also had to romance a hero who's not an A-lister.
So, naturally it was a lose-lose situation for her," the source adds.
