How caring Onu, is towards Taani. Loved it. But Onu a murderer. Can't believe. It must would have been an accident only.

nice part.

anurag is concerned for taani, but he doesn't want to show it. he drops her home, and both of them cry. its really sad that they both love each other n cant be together..

taani calls mauli..and asks her to come to india, aww.

robbie tells anurag to forget his past and accept taani. but he cant seem to do that. so he feels guilty for killing nupur, when it was only an accident? aww, he should'nt feel that way!

Chapter#4
A New Turn In Their Lives

Anurag, wearing his black PJs, stood beside his window leaning his back against the wall and stared the heavy rainfall. It was a rainy morning, plus both his cars were sent to garage for repairing, for which he couldn't go to office today. What a bad luck! Sighing, he stretched his hand outside the window and felt the rain drops on his palm. "Kash inn barish ke jaise insaan ke dukh aur taqleef bhi jhar jaate, toh kitna accha hota.", Anurag said and frowned. When he lowered his eyes on to the road, he imagined Taani dancing and enjoying in the rain there. He smiled feeling his heart content with joy on but soon it vanished off from his face when his imagination broke, and suddenly he remembered that Taani once sneezed the previous morning when they were going to office. The lines of worry and fear began to flash on his forehead. He took out his phone from his pocket and dialed Taani's landline number quickly.

"Hello!", Laboni maa received Taani's call. "Hello, kya main Taani se baat kar sakta hoon?", Anurag asked politely. "Jee aap kaun?", Laboni asked curiously. "Woh main uska *pause* boss hoon, Anurag. Kaam ke silsile mein kuch baat karni hai. Agar aap bula denge..", Anurag said hesitantly.

"Jee woh darasal baat yeh hai ki Taani ko achanak se bohot tez bukhaar aa gaya. Ussi vajah se woh neend mein kaap rahi thi aur behosh bhi ho gayi thi. Doctor aaye hai aur abhi usko check kar rahe hai.", Laboni maa said sadly. Anurag felt the earth being snatched beneath his feet. "Kya?", he exclaimed in shock and soon tears formed in his eyes as the realization of his fear coming true struck his mind. "Aunty main abhi aa raha hoon.", he said and hung up the phone.

Anurag quickly dressed up in casual clothes and rushed outside his bungalow. Robindo, who was watching TV in the hall, wondered where he was going and why he was so worried. Getting a cab in such a bad weather was very hard but somehow Anurag managed to get one after getting totally drenched in the rain and finally he went to Taani's house.

Taani laid on her bed unconscious. Laboni maa was sitting beside her on a chair and continuously rubbed her forehead with a piece of wet cloth, when she heard a loud knock on the main door. "Itni jor se kaun darwaza khatkhata raha hai? Kahi Taani ka woh boss toh nahi?", she said remaining in thinking mode. She headed outside the room to the main door to open it.

Opening the main door, Laboni maa was shocked to see a guy fully drenched in rain standing in front of her and shivering. "Tum shayad Taani ke boss Anurag ho, haan?", Laboni maa asked gently yet concernedly seeing the condition he was in. Anurag nodded and continued to shiver.

Laboni maa led Anurag inside and made him sit on the sofa. She quickly brought towel from inside and gave it to Anurag. "Beta, tum aise barish mein yaha kyun aaye? Dekho aab tum kitne kaap rahe ho," Laboni maa said to Anurag worriedly. While Anurag was drying his hairs with the towel, he felt at a loss of words because he couldn't tell anyone about his feelings for Taani and of course not even to Taani's mother.

"Aunty, woh Taani meri acchi dost hai, bas issi liye fikar ho rahi thi.", Anurag said softly which amazed Laboni maa. Taani had never mentioned about this friend, she wondered. But she needed to push this confusion to a side for now, she thought determinedly and said, "Beta, tum Taani ko dekhlo tab tak main tumhare liye chai banaati hoon, warna uski tarah tumhe bhi bukhar ho jayega." Anurag slightly smiled and nodded. Laboni maa went to the kitchen, while Anurag went to Taani's room.

Entering in the room, Anurag stared at the unconscious Taani with moist eyes. He couldn't tolerate even a little pain of her. He sat beside her on the bed and softly caressed her forehead. Turning his face towards the bed-side table, he saw a bowl full of water and a cloth beside it. He took the cloth and dipped it in the water and rubbed Taani's forehead slowly with it.

"Please jaldi se theek ho jaao. I can't see u like this," Anurag said to Taani and placed soft kisses on her forehead and her lips. Just then, he felt her body shivering and was shocked.

"Taani, tum theek ho naa?", Anurag said patting her cheeks but there was no response. "Taani!", he said with more force and pulling Taani close to his arms, he rubbed her back constantly.

Taani stopped shivering and snuggled more to Anurag's arms. Anurag tightly hugged her to make her feel his warmth. Just then, he heard the footsteps coming to the room and he carefully made Taani lie on her bed. Pulling the blanket on her, he took her hands in his and rubbed them.

Laboni maa entered the room and was surprised to see Anurag rubbing Taani's palm. But removing her surprised expressions off from her face, she stood in front of Anurag and handed him the cup of tea.

Taking the cup of tea, Anurag stood up hesitantly and sat a little far away from Taani. Laboni maa sat on the chair opposite to him. After a lot of thinking, Anurag spoke up in a low tone, "Aunty woh achanak se Taani ko bukhar kaise aaya?" Laboni maa looked straight at his face and she could easily distinguish the tension reflecting on his face.

"Beta, Taani 2 dino se barish mein bhigi hai aur kal raat kab woh neend mein behosh ho gayi, pata hi nahi chala.", Laboni maa said to Anurag looking worriedly at her daughter's pale face.

Anurag turned his face to the other side and quickly wiped off his tears. Laboni maa saw it and was confused. "Kya Anurag sirf Taani ka dost hai?", she thought curiously. "Taani se baad mein pooch lungi.", she thought in mind.

"Waise beta, pata hai Taani kal se bohot udaas thi, pata nahi kyun, par mujhe uski bohot chinta ho rahi hai.", Laboni maa said to Anurag on purpose as she wanted to see his reaction to it. She was doubting if Taani's sadness was somehow related to him.

Anurag guiltily stared Taani. Laboni maa understood that her doubt was right. "Aap chinta mat kijiye aunty, sab theek ho jayega.", Anurag assured Laboni maa but to tell the truth, he didn't even know how to make everything alright.

Laboni maa smiled at this assurance. "Oh haan aunty, main toh bhul hi gaya. Main Taani ke liye yeh soup ki packets lekar aaya hoon, bukhar mein garam garam soup khana health ke liye accha hota hai, bas iss liye.", Anurag said and taking out the soup packets from his pocket, he gave those to Laboni maa.

"Kuch toh hai!", Laboni maa thought suspiciously. Anurag made a sad face and said lowering his eyes, "Itne barish mein main sirf yehi laa paya." Laboni maa giggled and said, "Koi baat nahi beta! Tumne itna socha, yehi kaafi hai."

Anurag formally smiled at Laboni maa and said, "Accha aunty main chalta hoon, Taani se kahiyega ki jab tak tabiyat thik nahi ho jaye, woh ghar mein hi rest kare. Office ki chinta karne ki zarurat nahi hai." Theek hai beta, main bol dungi." Laboni maa said and nodded. Anurag glanced at Taani for a last time and left from there.

Robindo, who was standing at a corner of the main entrance of Taani's house, secretly peeking inside and hearing all the conversation, saw Anurag going out and leaned himself against the wall so that his brother Anurag might not see him.

After Anurag went out of sight, Robindo walked to his car and sat inside it. Astonished, he thought how Anurag ran to Taani's house after he heard about her fever. He didn't even bother to care about his health and specially the fact that he was allergic to cold. "Anu da is really strange," Robindo thought in mind. Confused, he wondered, "Anu da Taani se paagalo ki tarah pyaar karte hai phir bhi woh usse dur hai, sirf iss liye kyuki woh Nupur bhabhi ki maut ke zemedar khud ko maante hai. Par aisa kab tak chalega? Main apne bade bhai ko aise nahi dekh sakta. Mujhe hi kuch karna hoga. Kisi bhi kimat pe inn dono ko milaana hoga.", saying that, he made a determined look.

It was evening. Taani slowly opened her eyes and rubbed them. She looked around and some questions struck her mind. Was she sleeping the whole day? Didn't she go to office today? Didn't she get to see Anurag today? Jerking up in a sitting position, she thought, "Aaj Anurag ko dekh bhi nahi paayi." and frowned.

Laboni maa entered in her room. "Aab kaisi tabiyat hai teri?", she asked Taani with a sweet smile and caressed her cheek. "Theek hoon maa.", Taani said and made a sad face, which didn't go unnoticed by Laboni maa.

"Waise, tera boss Anurag aaya tha tujhe dekhne," Laboni maa said which shocked Taani to the fullest. "Kya?", she said in disbelief looking straight at her mother's face. Laboni maa sat beside Taani and said looking in Taani's eyes and observing her reaction, "Haan! Woh usne tere cell phone pe phone kiya tha, tu behosh thi iss liye maine phone uthaaya aur kaha ki tujhe tez bukhar hai aur tu behosh hai. Phir kuch der baad woh yaha aaya, teri tabiyat poocha, tujhe dekha, tere liye soup ke packets diya aur phir chala gaya. Bohot parwaa karta hai woh teri, iss liye toh itne kharab mausam mein tujhe dekhne aaya.", Laboni maa said the last line intentionally as she wanted to know what Taani had on her mind.

Taani's eyes were full of love. Her lips curved into a beautiful smile. Laboni maa noticed these and understood everything. "Tu usse pyaar karti hai, haina?", Laboni maa asked with a teasing smile, looking deeply in Taani's eyes.

"Haan maa, main usse pyaar karti hoon, bohot pyaar karti hoon aur woh bhi mujhse utna hi pyaar karta hai," Taani replied with I-am-in-love smile both on her lips and in her eyes without hesitating and in no time, she was pulled into a tight hug by her dear mom.

"Tune yeh baat mujhe pehele kyun nahi bataayi?", Laboni maa asked excitedly which dumbfounded Taani. She pulled her mom back and said confusedly, "Tum khush ho? I thought ki tum mujhpe gussa karogi." Laboni maa burst into laughter and said with the hugest grin curved on her face, "Taani, main koi typical maa nahi hoon ki main gussa karungi. Arey meri beti ko pyaar ho gaya, yeh toh khushi ki baat hai.", She caressed Taani's cheek and said with motherly love, "Durga re durga! Amar meye koto bore hoye geche re (meri beti kitni badi ho gayi hai re)", saying that, she hugged Taani again.

Taani smiled and hugged her mom back but her smile vanished when Anurag's words echoed in her eardrums. "We can never be together" - these words of Anurag hurted her heart like no other. Tears formed in the corner of her eyes but she wiped them off hurriedly.

Next morning, a girl of early 20s, in pink top and tight blue jeans, was walking towards the exit of the Dumdum Airport to the taxi stand pulling her luggage trolly with her. "Bhaia, Mahatma Gandhi Road chalenge?", she asked a taxi driver with a sweet smile. The driver nodded and the girl entered inside the taxi. "Welcome to Calcutta, Mauli Ghosh!", Mauli said with a blissful smile.

Well guys, i won't be able to update my FFs next week cuz I'll be undergoing a surgery on 9th, which means this Tuesday, for my thyroid cancer .. .. But nothing to worry at all, friends, because my doctor assured me that i'll be perfectly alright post surgery..😃

Enough bhashan of mine .. Do comment soon cuz even being on hospital bed, I'll log in to IF through my iPod to check your comments .. 😈 Thank goodness the hospital people have WiFi network .. 🤣
