Glad everyone enjoyed the caps...🤗

@Anjal/Ganga/Lennie: Great points, guys! Totally agree with all you said!

Ganga: Very true that he finally left the scene cuz he couldn't manage to fake the smile any longer...and anyways he had succeeded in his mission of getting her to smile/laugh

Anjal: She was indeed looking for answers as she glanced back in the mirror...honestly I'm still thinking about the way the mirror was used in this scene...just the entire setup...the way the shot was framed...they were both reflected in the mirror and in a sense a mirror is supposed to be held up to show the TRUTH, REALITY...and yet like Reemz said...they were both lying in front of that mirror...what irony...in some small glimpses, the truth does slip out...in the way they look at each other in that mirror...Gulaal's surreptitious glance back as he goes to get the kheer, Kesar's glance at her as he picks up the kheer and then deliberately talks about the muhavra...and ofcourse finally the ending bit...with the way Gulaal turns to look back in the mirror...this haunted, searching look on her face...searching for answers...after being hit by such a blunt truth/fact...once again so much for her to ponder about...a mirror held up for her.

👏 to the Gulaal team. Gulaal is master piece in telly world.
scene was shot beautifully. master piece direction & excellent acting by actors in the scene.

The scene protraits beautifully what Gulaal is up to. reality & answers that she has to realise.

Also did you guys notice that Kesar didn't fully understand just HOW difficult the vrat would be until the moment he has to eat the salt-less food?? LOLL...

His expression of horror here really cracks me up🤣

But ofcourse he is no less than Gulaal when it comes to rising up to a challenge😛

Gulaal kha sakti hai toh MAIN bhi khaa sakta hoon😆

This goes to show that initially he did the whole thing in bravado...ki koi baat nahin...4-5 din toh aise hi nikal jaayenge...then the moment he eats the saltless food, bechara gets his first jhatka...but STILL he doesn't back down...he knows no other way obviously when it comes to Gulaal.

Finally read through this thread - and whoaaa I like want to go out and quote bits and pieces from everyone's replies! Oooh I missed this discussion *hits her head* But anyway - what an episode it was... I think I'm going to pass repeating myself all over after making one of lengthiest posts ever in the process of rant/vent/gush - but Reemz - I just have to quote the line you say (or was this Nur and you together?) of two people looking in the mirror and lying to themselves, to each other! I think we all noticed the play of the mirror there, but that one line sums it up best!

Nur - awesome CAPS as always, my favorite ones from the first scene:

^^I just love the duality of this expression in her smile here, so so much! Excellent stuff from Mansi - the rush of relief, that Kesar's 'muhaawara' was not another rude jolt, and her extreme stiffness from the lingering awakening of the actual googly, which can be pretend ignored, but not really!

His expression of horror here really cracks me up🤣 I loved his sarcasm 'isme toh namak hi nahin'. I loved how Gulaal was looking at him!😳

They both love their challenges!😛

Those last few seconds were poetry in motion <3 Actually the entire use of the mirror was brilliant thinking. That forced laughter from both of them to get past the awkward stage and then Gulaal looking in to the mirror with that haunting (perfect word chosen by Nur) expression. As if she was seeing the woman in her for the first time in a long time! I cannot praise this scene enough...!

@Reemz

@nureat01

I agree with u 100%. Reemz u ahve said it all so beautifully that i have nothing else to add. Just this that sows like Gulaal are a rarity on Indian TV. and they should be cherished. Unfortunately they are never prolonged. But that's the sorry state of mind of our audience. As for Mansi and Neil...I have no words to express what I think of their acting and expressions. mind blowing or outstanding would also be inadequate words.
