I feel he does not need to change his hairstyle/haircut. This style suits him to the T. He just needs to trim his hair a bit.I will therefore go for Option 1.

i think he looks more cute with a hair cut...not that he doesn't look good with long hair...but in a hair cut he looks really januable😳...and with long hair he looks a bit mature..(only look wise 😉)
