How does one accidentally get married Indian style

Please...I've just watched the E24 and read other posts as well and commented.

One thing bugs me...How does one accidentally get married indian style?! 😲


As far as I know and have seen, there are loads of things to do, rasams and the phere.
So it cant be that easy to get married. Can you imagine how many accidental marriages we might be having in our Indian culture if it was that easy!!! I can just see the annulment procedure or divorce reason...we didnt want to get married but ACCIDENTALLY got married.

How?! Please please help!!!

Does anyone know what is the crucial step in our indian marriage? is it the sindoor or the phere or the wearing of the mangal sutra...which one is THE step and the rest is just there for mere festivity.

well i do not know..
but its a TV show so anything can happen..
as far as people like NANI and BUAJI are there such things are BOUND to happen because if arnav puts sindoor on kushi's forehead they will say they are married!!😕

Thats soo unrealistic you know. No one can get married accidentally. There r other rituals which r more important then just putting sindoor in the mang. No one is declared married by some red powder magically falling in your mang. Seriously there is no such term called "Accidental marriage" !! These indian soaps have been promoting this from a long time 😡

but it can happen ACCIDENTALLY like in the temple or etc...
and nani might say "u put sindoor so u r wife and husband"
but traditionally there are more rituals to fulfil..

I agree, there is a lot of rituals associated with indian weddings and these also differ according to different communities etc. For eg, the saat pheres- Gujaratis have 4 pheras not 7 but the wedding is still valid. And it is not just the sindoor or mangalsutra. Like Aahana says, it can't happen by accident. We shall see but my take is that as he breaks her fast he is taken to be her "husband" as that is a custom the husband usually fulfills:)

Think accidental like in 'Parineeta'.

Yeah I agree ... Buaji, naniji and maamiji will over react and say they are married now blah blah...
