There are so many things to share with my fans. I will begin with the days when I used to stay in a boarding school. My parents are very emotional by nature and I remember that every time they came to see me off at the station or my school, they burst into tears. The feeling of separation from the people who are closest to you in life is excruciating. I am now settled in Mumbai and my parents are in Madhya Pradesh. They come to Mumbai to visit me and each time they leave they still get emotional and start crying. By nature I am not one of those 'touchy' kinds and I can deal with things but staying away from parents has always been a tough experience.
When I grew up I experimented a lot with my career choice. My parents wanted me to become a doctor but I had some other plans. I pursued a course in Fashion Communication and I also had profound interest in fine arts and performing arts. But the day I came in front of the camera for the first time in life for the show Yahaan Ke Hum Sikandar I realised that acting is and will always be my passion in life. Though I was extremely nervous during the first shot and kept on blinking but the feeling I had was that of happiness and contentment. I had never acted before so I had to work a lot to sharpen my acting skills. Before coming down to Mumbai I did hear a lot of negative things about the city. People said it is a city where exploitation is a normal thing. But gladly I have never faced any trouble in Mumbai so far and the city has actually welcomed me and given me the opportunity to grow in life.
As I mentioned it is a big city and when you are working round the clock loneliness does seep in, especially when you are staying away from your family. At times you need someone with whom you can talk and who understands you. I am really happy to have Karan in my life who has supported me all the time. We both started our respective careers almost at the same time so we could connect and gel better. We have grown as actors and we are extremely comfortable with each other. We just got back from a holiday in Himachal Pradesh where we spent some quality time with our close friends.
I want to thank all my fans for loving and supporting me so much. Please wait for me as I shall be soon back to entertain you. At this moment I am treading cautiously as I don't want to sign any show impulsively. If things work out you may also see me on the big screen. I just need your support, love and blessings to grow in life.
