Actually, the villagers were about to take matters into their own hands with phooli, ... and it was anandi who requested the panchayat meeting on behalf of phooli for the punishment to be decided. But phooli and parents did agree to anandi's request. The villagers as third party could not call the panchayat. Only phooli did (through anandi) as the aggrieved party in this disagreement because she was being unfairly accused.

The fact that the panchayat judged against her is another matter.

Even though anandi was not phooli's relative she requested a panchayat meeting and it was accepted simply because she was the beendni of 'dadisa's' badi haveli...But the ruling went against them because dadisa and basant sat there as mute spectators without supporting anandi at that panchayat meeting and so all blame fell on phooli -its so easy to blame a woman...Only power mattered and phooli was made a scapegoat...finaly anandi had to prove phooli's innocence,only with irrefutable proof these panchayats guys accepted her innocence...but with jagya these panchayat members just went to haveli,said their side and calmly walked out but remember the drama they created out side phooli's house and at panchayat they even wanted to blacken her face😲--can any of these guys even dare to think about blackening jagya's face --No way...

pjyo, remember it has only been four days since they have come to the village - although for us it drags on endlessly and it seems like many, many years have passed since gauri came to the haveli.

The Panchayat may call a 'public interest' meeting and still blacken jagya's face.

The gaanv people may say they are aggrieved - because their sons may also do the same thing in the future therefore they want a fitting punishment. Let us wait and see. 😃

Villages has male dominated society...these panchayats act out only if the acused party is a woman...its pretty common in villages to leave 1st wife and take another wife...nobody bothers...but if its a woman taking another husband it'll be big issue...everybody's izzat will be on stake.

Alas this is the reality in India.So I wonder if panchayat will bother...maybe if Anandi's parents complain they might take some action...the worst thing which panchayats do is social boycott...GAGA is anyways goin to live in mumbai so its not gonna affect them much.

I show the Promos, although her out rage is undestandable, but the way she comes yelling and screaming seems odd, for Anandi so calm and composed, her mom behaving like this looks reaaly odd. - just my opinion
