ps: please don't take me the wrong way. i love this show. i just don't want it to fall into the same pattern as many other indian dramas that churn out anything they want and they expect their viewers to believe the rubbish.

Have you ever considered that maybe she has never taken a pregnancy test before, and that is why maybe sheis clueless as to how it works ? A pregnancy test isn't a'yes' or a 'no' they have symbols or signs ( I dont even know...and yes I am educated, but because I am smart have never had the need to use a pregnancy test :S ) ...I dont sleep around either. But just because you sleep around doesn't mean you need or should know how to use a pregnancy test...not everytime you sleep with someone do you have a pregnancy scare.

agree with u but it's not about education or sleeping around. doesn't every pregnancy test has instructions to follow n all(i never used one but just saying like since every product has one) so it's easy to figure out n all.in the commericals like they talk about it as well how to read it just saying. if i am wrong plz tell me so since these are my guesses.
I guess in this specific scenario it could go both ways. And I do get where you are coming from. If they are targeting a mature audience then they should put in the effort to make the scenario's they put infront of us realistic, and believable, and not just blantantly for the sake of it. But this is a great show, and to me personally it seems the Nuts track is ruining it.Originally posted by: singh008
the reason i mentioned sleeping around and being educated is because of the fact that every pregnancy test comes with instructions. they exactly tell you how to read the test. secondly, if you have had more than 50 boyfriends and even your mom thinks you are not of good character then you have probably had multiple pregnancy scares - this is definitely just a generalization but could be true. regardless of if she has ever needed a pregnancy test i am pretty sure she knows how to read the instructions. moreover, my point was to say that many indian dramas do not seem realistic in many ways and that purely annoys me. i just don't want to expect such things from this show as it is actually targeting a mature audience. i am tired of shows ignoring their character's persona. i actually love this show and i don't want it to follow such a pattern which just assumes that the viewers are dumb and will believe whatever rubbish is put in front of them.

yes every pregnancy test does come with clear instructions to tell you whether you are pregnant or not. usually each brand shows their results in a little different manner. the reason i mentioned education is because she can obviously read the instructions and if you are assuming that a girl has slept around then there are very high chances of pregnancy scares which would probably lead to a girl utilizing a pregnancy test. my main point in all this is though that they should make their characters more believable. if a girl is so independent that she doesn't even let her mom interfere in her life... then wouldn't she want to be the first one to know if she is pregnant or not? wouldn't she want to figure it out herself before she shares anything with anyone? all she would have to do for that is read. why would she instead yell out that the color is changing so that her mom and her sister (whom she doesn't want to bud into her personal life) are the first ones to know.
