Overall a good episode. Some of the original dialogue style and execution peeked through.

Kukkan Beta, you rock!!! Always be your Bhaiyya and Bhabhi's savior - Ram and Laxman's jodi to save Sita Maiyya!

I know it is a tall order, but get that rotten wife of yours into shape as well...! :))

WU are up.

1. whatever happens to the show, however it is turning out to be, i've always trusted the CV's even if they've been changed many times over. there's always a reason for everything that is introduced into the show, no matter how bizarre. why did runjhun not leave the house before the wedding? because she had to find out mahadevi was pregnant very late at night. why was kukkan made to marry mahadevi? we see that now, he is going to be guddu's eyes and ears in Pn (very good scene with kukkan, BTW, behind the read see-through curtain. why was Leela, the obnoxious neighbor, introduced in the story, grabbing so much air time? i think we will find out tomorrow. why was the weird looking priest introduced? i have faith that the show will use him to get guddu and runjhun to the closeness we all want.

2. between guddu and runjhun... things are getting closer and closer. thanks to the problems experienced by the mamas and the mamis, the "touch" today was the most romantic ever. if guddu had gotten off-balanced a little more... hmmm... also, runjhun seems to be open to guddu's touch whenever there's a problem. i say, bring in more problems. the bigger the problems, the closer the touch.

3. eating has been used subliminally in place of the physical act between man and woman in the show. notice how the directors make himmanshoo and nivedita eat. (except for the july 7 episode). they tend to eat very slowly, and they tend to put have a very sensual way of putting food into their mouths, and eating while staring at each other. since no overt physical intimacy is acceptable in indian public TV, i guess subliminal messages would do, which actually works better.

I watched today's episode with Mom .She was horrified to see a woman chase her husband with a broom & even more horrified to see a slipper being hurled at people & me grinning at both the instance😉 .She was like is this your favourite show?

Good that they are keeping G&R in their love nest & developing their romance track.
Would like to see Amma interact with Kukkan.
Mithoo is so busy breaking RJ's marriage she doesn't have time to sort out MD's precarious marriage. Wake up!

Did you miss RJ's drunken day out & how it ended before the calender dropped?
Indian tele is getting bolder, there was even a liplock on a late night show, which is ofcourse repeated in the afternoon slot.

Again a nice episode today. Congrats CVs.

I just feel like pointing out some of the highlights (which i feel) of today's episode.
1. Amma calling guddu and making him to stay away from bringing runjun to PN and also advicing her to take care of her family.
2. Amma wanting her sons and daughter-in-laws to understand that working hard will fetch them good prospect than relying on fortune.
3.Guddu consoling runjun. The eye contact between them
4. Kukkan listening to the conspiracy of the Mamis. He is the one (after amma) who really prays for gunjun to be together.
5. In two of the dialogues, i felt guddu sukkla back. One was what r u trying to force guddu sukkla and the second one was when he said runjun did she hear what he said and made her eat with him. the only difference is that it was out of love and not like before.
And the precap has really made me think, who could it be who is so daring to through chappal at these mamis. Of course the CVs want the viewers to be guessing till tomarrow. I guessed it, may be kukkan or even amma or even leela chachi. But i feel it cant be leela chachi because the reaction given by them seem to be shocking. Any way lets wait and watch.
What friends whom do u think it would be?

nope. didn't miss those scenes. but they're more romantic, in a cute way, for me. just to be clear, what i meant was that explicit sexual scenes are not shown in indian TV (at least, that's what i gathered from what others posted, or are there explicit sexual scenes shown on tv nowadays). i remember kalsanwali said once that when they watch movies, just when the hero and heroin kiss, a flower suddenly appears on the screen. in the case of bhagonwali, we see guddu actually kiss runjhun on the cheeks and forehead.

but this kiss is not what i meant about how the eating is used to subliminally mean the sexual act. HOW DO I SAY THIS? actually, i'm having a hard time putting it into words without being too vulgar. FREUDIAN ANALYSTS IN THE FORUM, CAN SOMEONE HELP ME?

@Agin

I see what you are saying and certainly acts of eating when the camera goes to the mouth can certainly lead one to think of sexual acts. That is normal between a man and woman in a flirtatious/romantic relationship. And eating using evident chewing and using the mouth can be a fore-runner to sex and be a metaphor for physical desire.

However, the good thing is that in Indian serials while they do not show a sex scene, they certainly show when it has happened. It may be a simple thing like a couple waking up the next day, but in bed, but the show does signal to us that the couple has had sex while not showing too much.

In this case eating doesn't need to represent the actual act of sex. I think it represents comfort and companionship and maybe a hint of desire that will translate into sex later on, but is not symbolic of the sexual act. When that happens the show will make it clear with more conventional symbols (Suhag Raat, pregnancy, etc)

I do not know that if I am making any sense, but thought I would take a stab at it
