Chapter 76
July 4, 2011 7:05 pm
"Mom, do we have to wear these?" wined Harsh, pulling on the life jacket he was wearing.
"Yes you do. I'm not going to have my child falling overboard and drowning."
"But the boat isn't even moving."
"We are on the water and you boys love to run around. Plus, we will be moving in a few minutes to get a good spot on the lake. You keep that life jacket on!"
"But, Mooommm!"
"Are you giving your mother trouble?" asked Arjun as he walked up to them, carrying his little niece.
"No, Mama," said Harsh quickly.
"Good. Now why don't you run along and find JD and Jake."
"Okay."
"Why is it that he was arguing with me, but as soon as you come along, right away he follows directions?" grumbled Naintara as she reached out to take her baby girl from Arjun.
"Because I'm an unknown dynamic. I'm Arjun Mama, the rarely seen uncle who he's not quite sure about. You are his mother, and Harsh knows that no matter how upset with him you get, you'll always love him. That's why he has no problem pushing the boundaries. You better get used to it, 'cause it will only get worse with time."
"Well, don't you just sound like such an expert. You just wait. When Annie has the baby, you won't be so smug any more."
"That may be, but I have at least six more months before then. What ever happens, at least I won't be like Adi. Honestly, that guy is totally paranoid."
Naintara looked across the Jacobsen's yacht to where Adi was insisting that Pinky sit on one of the deck chairs well away from the railing. "I think he's sweet. It's their first baby and he just wants to make sure everything goes alright. I can't really blame him. Pinky says that his company has been sending him on business trips a lot more frequently than they expected, and it's made him nervous. Hopefully he can get that promotion to the desk job he's been after before the baby is born, or he might end up going crazy.
July 4, 2011 8:01 pm
"This reminds me of our first date," said Maan, as he pulled Geet into his arms and leaned against the yacht's railing. "Of course, there were a lot less people on that boat, so I had you all to myself."
"Well I think it was good of Melanie and Will to invite the whole family. They even invited Adi and Pinky."
"I wish they hadn't. I can't get two minutes alone with you before someone comes calling your name."
"Maan..." started Geet, but a little voice interrupted her.
"GT, GT, when are the fireworks gonna start?" JD came running up to Geet and Maan, who just looked at Geet with a 'Didn't I say so' expression.
Geet looked at Maan's watch and then told JD that it would be about an hour more before the fireworks. JD was pouting, but Geet explained that they had to wait until it was dark. Then she suggested JD to find Harsh and Jake and play with some sparklers. She also wanted to go with JD to make sure the children didn't burn themselves, but Maan wasn't willing to let her go. Instead, he called Dev and asked him to keep an eye on the children.
Once they were semi-alone again, Geet turned to Maan and said, "You know, we still haven't taken JD to Navy Pier yet."
"Well, we don't really have time at the moment. We'll have to wait until we're back from our honeymoon. I'll talk with Dev and see if we can't arrange for the whole family to go." Geet smiled at Maan's willingness to do anything for her, even going above and beyond her expectations.
July 4, 2011 9:10 pm
The entire group was busy watching the Navy Pier 4th of July fireworks, with the children being the most mesmerized. JD was holding on to Geet's hand, and would constantly exclaim to her about the show being put on. When the finale came, there was lots of ooing and aahhing. It ended much too quickly according to the children, but eventually it was time to head back to the dock, along with the many other boats that were out that evening.
July 4, 2011 10:24 pm
The harbor was crowded, so it took some time for Will to get the yacht back to its moorings. All of the children had fallen asleep and were being carried ashore by various adults. Maan had JD securely held in one arm, with his other free had holding Geet's when Arjun came up with a question.
"Maan, you guys are getting married in two days, but I haven't heard anything about a bachelor's party."
"That's because I'm not having one."
"What? How can you not have a bachelor's party? It's like a sacred ritual all grooms have to go through."
"Maybe for those who feel like they're giving up their freedom, but I'm not giving up anything, I'm gaining everything. What do I need with a bachelor's party?"
"Maan, I think you should have a bachelor's party."
Maan looked at Geet like she was crazy. "Geet," he almost yelled, but then lowered his voice when JD stirred. "Geet," he said again, "you want me to have a bachelor's party? A bachelor's party? You do KNOW what a bachelor's party is, don't you?"
"Yes, I know. I don't mean those stupid kind of parties they show in movies, but you can go somewhere with you friends, a movie or something, and have some fun. Tomorrow night would be a great time."
"Geet, you've got to be kidding."
"No, why would I be. As long as you're not drinking in some club, I don't mind."
July 5, 2011 6:45 pm
"Pinky, I will call as soon as we get there, so you know where I am, okay?"
"Adi, all the guys are already in the car waiting for you. You're embarrassing me. Leave already, I'll be fine." Pinky shoved her reluctant husband out the door, and breathed a sigh of relief when he was gone.
"Well girls, the cats are away, so what shall we mice play?"
July 5, 2011 7:30 pm
"Dev, did you not tell Geet that we were going to a movie?" asked Maan, looking at the building they were currently standing in front of.
"Bro, I had to tell Bhabhi that so she would let you out of the house. If she knew we were coming here, she would never have agreed."
"I'm not going to drink. She wouldn't like it."
"Bro, have Pepsi all night for all I care. We're not here just for the drinking. I invited a few of your old friends from college and thought we could all catch up over some dinner."
"We could have had dinner at any one of a dozen restaurants."
"Maan, don't be a spoil sport," interjected Arjun. "It's your bachelor party. We can't have it at any boring restaurant. No, Maan Singh Khurana's bachelor party has to be at the most happening place in Chicago."
July 5, 2011 7:45 pm
"Geet, calm down. They're together. What could happen?" Naintara's low voice was a stark contrast to the peppy background music of the chick flick playing on the TV that had been totally forgotten.
"Calm down. Calm down. Di, how am I supposed to calm down? They were supposed to be going to a movie. What if he drinks? I don't want him to drink!"
"Pinky, are you sure Adi said they were at Excalibur?" asked Naintara, hoping that maybe there was a mistake.
"Oh, I'm sure. He wouldn't tell me the wrong place, and the background noise definitely sounded like a club."
"Annie," said Geet strongly, turning to look at the younger woman, "this is entirely the fault of YOUR husband."
"Oh, I'm sure of it," said Annie casually, as she used a chip to scoop another mouthful of spinach guacamole into her waiting mouth. "This is the best stuff I have ever eaten! I have to get some to take back to London with me."
"Annie, will you forget about your cravings for a second and think about the problem?"
"What problem? That the boy's went to a club? I don't have a problem with Arjun going to a club if he wants to." Geet growled but Annie wasn't finished. "I don't have a problem with him going to a club, but I do have a problem with him lying about it, regardless of the reason."
"So?"
"So, I think that we need to teach the boys a lesson."
July 5, 2011 8:00 pm
"Alright, Naintara, show us what you brought," demanded Annie, who was sitting on her bed with Pinky and Geet.
Naintara had one of her bags with her, but hesitated in getting out the thing they were all interested in. Annie prompted once again, and Naintara reluctantly opened the bag up. Then she took out a small bag and opened it's contents. They all gasped when they saw the shiny red sequins reflecting the rooms light.
"Naintara!" exclaimed Annie excitedly. "I can't believe that you bought such a fabulous dress, let alone brought it with you to the wedding. I mean, I've never seen you wear something so sexy."
Naintara looked slightly embarrassed, but said, "I didn't bring it for the wedding, I brought it encase, well...I could never wear it back in India, but I thought that while we were on vacation Dev and I might..."
"So, Dev hasn't seen the dress yet?"
"No."
"That's perfect then. It will fit right into my plan," said Annie with glee.
"What plan?" asked Geet.
"My plan to crash Maan's bachelor party. Now, I just have to go through my dresses and pick out something perfect for you."
"But I can't go to a club," said Pinky, rubbing her hand over her large belly.
"Nonsense!" exclaimed Annie. "In fact, I have the perfect dress for you. It doesn't have a waist, and the way it lays, you will hardly be able to tell you're pregnant. It's a little short, but then, I'm much taller than you, so with some blue leggings, it will look fabulous. Oh, and I have a knock out dress for you, Geet."
July 5, 2011 8:15 pm
"I am not wearing that dress!"
"Come on Geet, you'll look great in it!"
"Please, Geet, we want to teach the boys a lesson. It won't work if you wear your boring old clothes."
"But...I...How does it stay up?"
July 5, 2011 8:20 pm
"Annie, you've bullied me into wearing that...that...thing, but I haven't seen what you're going to wear," said Geet petulantly.
"Oh, I have the perfect dress for our little plan, but I don't think I'll reveal it just yet. I'll leave that for when we get to the club. I'm looking forward to seeing the look on my husband's face."
July 5, 2011 9:15 pm
"There's something not quite right about having a bachelor's party at a place like Excalibur, but instead of partying, we're all just sitting around this table talking," commented Arjun, as he took a sip of his drink.
"We aren't all sitting around. Brian, Matt and Tinh have been dancing for the last twenty minutes," responded Dev, slightly amused at his brother-in-law's remark.
"Yeah, the single men have gone off to have fun. Well, all except our guest of honor here. Come on Maan, you should dance a little bit. There are plenty of girls here who've been giving you the eye."
"I'm not interested," said Maan. "None of them can hold a candle to Geet, so why should I bother? If you want to dance Arjun, no one is stopping you."
"Alas, as tempting as many of the beauties here tonight are, they don't quite have what it takes to captivate me."
"I think you need to face facts, Arjun," said Dev. "We all of us have been well and truly caught by our wives. Maan here isn't even married yet, and he's already given up drinking because Geet doesn't like it. The truth is, when you fall in love with the kind of girls we have, whether you like it or not, the old life ends and a new one begins. I think they deserve a toast."
Maan, Adi and Arjun agreed, so Dev continued, "To our wives, for being the kind of women who make sure a man never regrets letting go of his previous existence."
The four men raised their glasses and then took a sip. As he lowered his glass, Adi happened to glance up, and nearly choked at what he saw. Without saying a word to the other three men, he sprang up and rushed away from the table.
"What's wrong with Adi," asked Arjun, as the other two shrugged.
"He looked like he saw a ghost," said Dev, changing his position to try and discover what it was that had Adi hurrying away.
It only took a moment, but then Dev spotted what he was sure was the reason for Adi's disappearance. "Isn't that Pinky?" he asked.
Maan and Arjun both looked and Maan confirmed that it was. The men talked and quickly came to the conclusion that if Pinky was here, then the other women must have also come. It wasn't long before they spotted them. All four women were clearly dressed to kill, and being in a group together, they easily drew all the male attention in the area.
"How did they know we were here?" asked Arjun.
"Adi must have phoned Pinky," replied Dev.
"Great! That man's paranoia has ruined what could have been a great evening."
"Don't build castles in the sky," said Maan. "You were feeling bored, Arjun, admit it. But now that the girls have come, I think we can have some fun. Did you see Geet's face? She was looking pretty angry and I think I know why. I intend to play a little trick on her. Anyway, I don't know how you two feel about Naintara and Annie, but my Geet can't come dressed that way for anyone to see, and not face a consequence."
July 5, 2011 9:25 pm
"Pinky!" cried Adi loudly, over the noise of the club goers and music. "What are you doing here? This place is no good for you or the baby. That atmosphere is bad. It's too noisy and people are drunk, it's not good!"
"Oh! So it's not good for the baby to be here, but it's okay for the baby's papa to be here?" asked Pinky, showing her husband her best upset wife attitude.
"Pinky, don't be like that. It wasn't my choice to come here, I told you that on the phone."
"Adi," interrupted Geet impatiently. "We're looking for Maan, Dev, and Arjun. Where are they?"
"At that table over there," was the response from Adi, along with a vague arm gesture, before he went back to trying to persuade Pinky to come home with him.
Geet caught sight of the trio, and headed off in that direction, intending to confront Maan. As she got closer, she could see the men laughing, Maan the hardest of all. She did not like the look of her fiance. It seemed to her that he wasn't quite himself, and she was a little worried that she knew why.
"Well, Mr. Khurana," she said sternly, her hands on her hips as she stalked up to the table. "What do you have to say for yourself?"
"Geet, what are you doing here?" came the slurred question in response to hers.
"I told you. I told you that I didn't want you in a club drinking. But look, here you are doing exactly that. Well, enough is enough. Come on, get up. You're coming home with me right now!" Geet moved around the table to where Maan was sitting, grabbing his hand and pulling him with as much force as she could. Holding him tightly, she then started walking away, Maan trailing behind her.
Naintara and Annie watched with amusement as Geet and Maan left, before turning back to their own husbands. The two couples eyed each other, each trying to size up their partner. Dev quickly lost the battle, having never seen his wife wear quite such a daring dress before. Arjun was a little more sure of himself, but Annie smirked, knowing that she had surprise on her side.
"Your companions seemed to have left you all alone," observed Annie sweetly, carefully undoing her wrap and allowing the dress she wore underneath to slowly come into view. "Would you two gentlemen mind if we joined you?"
Dev was speechless, continuing to stare unblinkingly at Naintara, while Arjun was nearly so. His Annie was a thoroughly modern girl from London, and he had see her in any number of daring outfits since the time they met. It was one of the things that had captivated him about her, how she could dress so boldly, and still at times be so sweet and simple. Yet none of their time dating, nor their two years of marriage had prepared him for the sight of her barely covered by gold sequins that revealed every inch of her incredibly long legs, and a good deal of the rest of her. The two women glanced at each other in victory at the effect their presence had on their men, giving them all the confidence they needed to sit down and begin the deliciously sensuous torture of their husbands.
July 5, 2011 9:30 pm
As soon as Geet's back was turned toward Maan, his mouth had nearly dropped to the floor. He had seen that the dress she was wearing was short, but until that moment, he had no idea just how revealing it was. It was no wonder that every male in the place was eyeing her with nothing but pure lust.
The only thing that saved Maan from being exposed was the fact that Geet was so intent on getting them down the stairs quickly, that she did not turn back. If she had, she would have immediately recognized from his angry expression that Maan was stone cold sober. However, she did not, and that gave Maan time to regroup, and a new resolve that his Geet definitely needed to be punished for daring to come out of the house dressed the way she was.
When the got to the first floor, it was so crowded that Geet had to stop, causing Maan to bump into her. He quickly added a stumble and grabbed onto her waist in a way that brought them closer together, and also seemed like he would loose his balance if he let go. The hold had the added benefit of putting his chest right up against Geet's bare back, thus allowing Maan to shield her exposed body from view.
"Geet, won't you dance with me?" he asked slowly, nuzzling her hair and at the same time pulling them both slightly off balance.
Geet wrapped her arm around Maan's reflexively and looked over her shoulder at him with anger. "No, we are not dancing, we are going home. I'm going to get us a cab and I don't want to hear any arguments."

So, I used a little creative license with the club. Excalibur isn't actually open on Tuesdays, but July 5, 2011, is on a Tuesday, and that was pretty much the only day I had left in the story line where Maan could have a bachelor party. I searched and searched trying to find a club that fit what I wanted, but none of them were as good as Excalibur. So, I'm just pretending that they are open on Tuesdays.
Oh, and the navigation on their website is not very easy, but if you poke around enough, you can find quite a lot of information.
Now, for the KNOCK OUT dresses.
Geet's
Pinky's + blue leggings, remember she is pregnant.
Naintara's
Annie's (Annie is only about three months pregnant, so she's still slim enough to get away with wearing this dress.)

Chapter 77
July 6, 2011 9:32 am
"Well, Geet, it's only one more day. Are you nervous?"
"I don't know, Di. I'm feeling so many different emotions that it's hard to tell them apart. I think I'm more excited than anything."
"I'll tell you what I want to know," said Annie, around a mouthful of chocolate ice cream that was satisfying a craving. "I want to know what happened when you left the club with Maan."
The blush that spread over Geet's cheeks was deep and immediate. Just thinking about what happened caused her heartbeat to rapidly increase and her lungs to have trouble breathing. Geet found it impossible to speak, instead, lowering her eyes and trying to turn her red face away from the other three young women's sight.
"Ooo," was Annie's response. "From the expression on Geet's face, it must have been pretty hot. So tell us!"
Geet just shook her head and blushed even more, if that possible, prompting Annie to say, "I wonder what happened? Is it possible that our Geet will no longer be going to her wedding night as a virgin bride?"
July 5, 2011 9:45 pm
With difficulty Geet put Maan in the back of the taxi and then got in herself. She told the driver where to take them and then began trying to get Maan's seatbelt fastened. The problem was, he wasn't cooperating with her, finding it more interesting to trouble her.
"Maan, stop fooling around, please and put on your seatbelt."
"Come on, Geet, you know you like my fooling around. If you didn't want to do a little fooling around yourself, why did you come dressed like that?"
Geet felt Maan's fingers trail down her back and shrugged them off, which only served to increase his attentions. "Geet, why do you always push me away? Why are you always on Dadi's side? Do you know that this is the first time we've been alone at night for weeks?"
"Maan, we're hardly alone, sitting in the back of a cab."
Maan briefly glanced over at the taxi driver, before looking back at Geet. "Don't pay any attention to him. He's probably seen a lot of stranger things than an engaged couple making out in the back of his car."
July 5, 2011 10:30 pm
Geet knew that Maan was a Beatles fan, but that was never something that embarrassed her before this night. Now, as she was trying to pay the taxi driver, Maan was crooning in her ear along with the song playing over the cab's radio. A man had called in and requested the song be dedicated to his girlfriend, and Maan had decided to dedicate his singing to her.
Bright are the stars that shine
Dark is the sky
I know this love of mine
Will never die
And I love her
"Geet, this is a great song. You know I like the Beatles, right? We should include this song at the wedding reception."
"Okay, Maan, we can talk about it later. Right now we need to go inside. You know, because we're home now."
"Geet, you're not listening to me," complained Maan as Geet took him by the arm and started pulling him toward the door. "I want this song in our wedding."
"The kiss my lover brings, She brings to me, And I love her," Maan sang loudly, stumbling and bumping into Geet.
"Maan, ssshhh!" whispered Geet, worried that they would wake Dadi and the other guests.
Geet looked at the front door, and then decided that maybe it wasn't best to enter that way. Putting Maan's arm around her shoulders, and her arm around his waist, she lead him to the garage. After unlocking the side door, she pulled him inside, and breathed a sigh of relief that they hadn't run into anyone yet.
"Geet, give me a kiss," demanded Maan.
"No way! I don't want to kiss a drunk man who went out and partied at a club, when I specifically told him not to."
"Is that so," said Maan in a hard voice, finally dropping his intoxicated pretense. "Then you really should have thought before you followed me dressed like that, and let who knows how many men see what is only my right to see!"
Maan pulled hard on Geet's arm and captured her mouth with his before she even had time to blink. It took a few moments for Geet to realize that her inebriated fiance was not so inebriated, but by that time, he had her backed up against the garage wall, helpless. They both were helpless, as the last few weeks of partial separation finally caught up with them, leaving both Maan and Geet a victim of their intense passion for each other.
A few minutes went by before Maan abruptly turned Geet around and started kissing every inch of her bare back. Geet's moans of pleasure only spurred him on, and when he reached her neck, without a thought he undid the one button holding her dress in place. Slowly he pushed aside the sleeve from her left shoulder, pausing for just a moment, before tenderly kissing the slight scar that still remained from the attack that first signaled the change in their relationship.
At that point, Geet turned around and grabbed his head, pulling his mouth back to hers, showing him with her response, just how much his touch affected her. Neither of them realized that the stop of her dress was slowly sliding further and further down, kept up only by virtue of the fact that Geet was pressed tightly against Maan's chest. With his arm holding her tight, his right hand was free to explore, running up and down her back in a way that made Geet moan and squirm even more. When his hand traveled all the way down her back, inside the top of her skirt and panties, touching her bare skin and pressing her hips more fully against his, Geet was finally shocked enough out of her desire to speak.
"Maan," she panted heavily, "Maan, stop. Stop please."
"Not now," he replied, before taking her mouth again with his.
Geet was so overwhelmed by the sensations that Maan's touch were creating in her body, that she very nearly gave in. Yet, somehow she managed to pull back and push Maan a little away from her. Grabbing her top to keep it from falling off completely, Geet looked at him with a mixture of longing and seriousness.
"Maan, please...I want to wait. Please!"
"Geet," he said softly, reaching out to trace her cheek gently with his finger.
Before Maan could say anything else, they heard a noise and the garage door started to open. Maan and Geet looked at each other, momentarily shocked, before they sprung into action. Maan grabbed Geet's arm and pulled her to the utility closet, getting them both inside, just before a car pulled inside. It was dark inside the closet and Maan held is finger to Geet's lips to communicate the need for quiet.
"I hope Maan and Geet are okay," Naintara's voice could be heard along with the clicking of heels. "I wonder where they are, anyway."
"Wherever they are, I'm sure they are both fine," replied Dev in a tone that said he didn't much care. His continuing words confirmed it. "Right now I don't much care what anyone else is doing. I'm more interested in making love to my smoking hot wife."
"Dev! What if someone hears you? There are guests in the house, you know. Be quiet so we don't wake anyone up."
Dev's response was muffled as he and Naintara continued on into the main house. When they were sure the cost was clear, Maan and Geet came slowly out from their hiding place. In the dim light of the garage, they could see each other's expressions. Geet saw the smoldering desire in Maan's gaze, and he saw the apprehension in hers. He also saw the way she was clutching the top of her dress, keeping it from falling down completely.
Slowly, so that he didn't startle her, Maan edged toward Geet, raising his hands to the sleeves of her dress. He then slid them securely onto her shoulders and reach behind her neck to fasten the button that minutes before he had undone in his mindless passion. Without taking his eyes from hers, Maan slid his fingers slowly along Geet's collar bone, over her shoulders and down her arms, reveling in the shiver that he saw run through her.
"Maan," she said plaintively, "I love you. I really do love you. You know that I do, right? It's not that I don't, it's just that I want to wait for our Suhaag Raat."
"Geet, I know that you love me, and I love you. Never doubt that."
"I don't doubt, it's just..." Geet paused as her mind veered in a new direction. Her mouth opened wide and she stared at Maan in disbelief.
"You were only pretending to be drunk! You're perfectly normal now, I didn't smell any alcohol, and your mouth only tasted like diet Pepsi!" As soon as she said those last few words, Geet blushed profusely, while Maan laughed at her.
"Why did you do that?" she asked angrily.
"Why did you come dressed like that?" he countered.
"You went to a club!"
"You went out in public wearing something that is only fit for the bedroom!"
"You..." Geet couldn't figure out how to respond to that, and just looked at Maan in confusion.
"If you don't want me to start back where we left off, then you better hurry off to your room," said Maan, the look in his eyes showing Geet he clearly meant what he said.
Annoyed, Geet turned around and started to stomp off towards the connecting door. Just as she reached and began turning the knob, she stopped suddenly. When she turned around, Maan could see that she was biting her lip and looking slightly concerned.
"Maan, you're not mad at me, are you? You...you don't think that I'm...that I'm a tease, do you?"
Maan laughed a little at the forlorn manner in which Geet asked that question. "You are always a tease, and will always be a tease for the rest of your life. Even you're not here, your thoughts tease me. So yes, I do think you are a tease, but no, I'm not mad at you."
He walked up to her, gave her a quick kiss on the forehead, and said, "Go to sleep now. I'll see you tomorrow."
July 6, 2011 9:35 am
Geet looked at Annie in shock and denial as Naintara came to her rescue. "Annie, leave the poor girl alone."
"What? What's the big deal? We're all married women here. Well almost all and Geet's wedding is tomorrow. It's not like we don't know what happens between a healthy, virile young man and his beautiful, sexy woman when they are alone."
"If you are so eager to talk about what happened last night, why don't you tell us what happened with you and Arjun?" suggested Naintara. "You guys went off to dance, and then nobody saw you after that until this morning."
Annie smiled like a cat that just finished an entire bowl of cream. "Since you both are so private about these types of things, I'm not sure what I could say. Wow, maybe. That we didn't make it home until early this morning after spending the night at a hotel. Also, if I wasn't pregnant already, I certainly would be after my husband finished with me last night. Other than that, I don't think there's much I can say. Now, I really think that we need to hear from Naintara about how things went with Dev, after he finally saw her in that dress."
"Annie, there's just no talking to you when you're in a mood like this. Finish your ice cream and let Geet get dressed."
At that moment, Pinky entered the room, saying Dadi was asking for Geet. Naintara pulled Geet's dress for the mehendi ceremony out of the closet, and the three women helped her get ready.
July 6, 2011 12:11 pm
"GT, what is all that dark stuff on you?" asked JD as he put his face down near her hands to inspect the mysterious substance.
"It's my mehendi."
"What is that?" All the ladies present smiled at JD's innocent question.
"It's from India, and it's really special. I will leave it on my hands and feet for a few hours, and when I take it off, I will have really interesting designs left on my skin," explained Geet.
"Wow, that's cool. Can I get designs too?"
Everyone laughed at JD's excitement, and Geet replied, "I don't see why not."
"GT, I want lions. I want to get lions all over!"
"Whoa, don't get too ambitious. You have to sit still for quite a while, so why don't we try just one lion, alright?"
"Alright, GT."

"Dadi, where is Geet, it's time for us to go?" asked Maan, looking this way and that, hoping to see his Mishti among the many people scurrying about.
"My goodness, Maan, don't you look handsome in this sherwani," said Dadi, ignoring his question. That only left Maan more insistant, and she had no choice but to answer.
"Maan, she left for the hotel with Naintara already."
"What? But, I thought we were going together. I mean it's our sangeet, we should be together. Dadi, this isn't another one of your silly ideas to keep up separated, is it?"
Dadi laughed at Maan's consternation, but hastened to assure him. "No, no, it wasn't my idea at all. Apparently, Geet wants to surprise you, so she doesn't want you to see her before the sangeet starts. Now Beta, don't grind your teeth, just go get in the car with Dev. The sooner you leave, the sooner you can see Geet."
Maan had little choice but to do as Dadi suggested. He was quite disappointed, having thought that at least he would get to be with Geet while they drove to the hotel. Ever since breakfast they had been apart, and Maan was missing her presence like crazy. Whenever it had been too much for him, he had stolen away to the ballroom, to get a glimpse of her as she and the other women were having their mehendi applied. Those brief glances had been like drops of water in a desert, and now Maan's restlessness to see Geet, to have her near him, talking and laughing with him, had reached the limit. He was more than ready to get his bride.

Lyrics-
I give her all my love
That's all I do
And if you saw my love
You'd love her too
I love her
She gives me everything
And tenderly
The kiss my lover brings
She brings to me
And I love her
A love like ours
Could never die
As long as I
Have you near me
Bright are the stars that shine
Dark is the sky
I know this love of mine
Will never die
And I love her
Bright are the stars that shine
Dark is the sky
I know this love of mine
Will never die
And I love her
You didn't know that Maan like the Beatles did you?
Geet's dress for mehendi
Naintara's dress for mehendi
I don't know what anyone else was wearing, especially Annie. You never know what she might be wearing!
Geet's mehendi
JD's lion
