He had totally left himself and dropped down in the deep slumber like world of fantasies. The song sung by little pretty birds made him feel like as if he is in heaven. His mind finally got some rest after a long time. Just patience, quit surroundings, and nothing else.
*Beep*
Lines appeared on his face but he never bothered to get up.
*Beep*
Then the second time the answering machine spoke," Hey everybody I am not at home..Leave the message after the beep. Thanks yah!"
*Beep*
"Hello Arjun?"
As soon as he heard his name his closed eyes popped up and he paid attention towards the message.
"Arjun? Where the hell are you man? What do you think of yourself Huh? And now you are not even picking up my phone and neither are you replying to my messages? What happened huh? Have you lost interest in me??Arjun tell me?*Sob*" And the message was over.
"Shit!" He stumped, " Oh Man! Sonia, why can't you leave me alone? I just went on a date with you that doesn't mean that I love you dude! So Sick! Anyways relax dude, she'll beg and then will dissapear herself! *Sigh's*" He said to himself.
He again closed his eyes, but dude, he was not that lucky. Again his phone started ringing.
"Jesus Christ!" He said as he thought that no one in this whole universe will let this poor boy rest for some time.
"Hello? Who is it?" He said irritated.
"Uh...Arjun..It's me Arohi." The soft voice spoke from that side.
"Oh Arohi!" As soon as he came to know that it is Arohi, the lines from his head disappeared and his lips curved into a sweet dimpled smile.
"Oh Arohi..Woh Actually Umm I...I'm sorrry woh I never wanted to shout like that but..."
"It'k OK Arjun..I know you were busy with you biology project and couldn't rest whole night! I have every single news about you mister!"
"Oh*smirk*" He rested his back on the bed and lied down," So Miss.Arohi knows me very well?"
"Oh Yes..And now listen! I urgently need to talk to you so can you come to college right now?"
"NOW?" He shouted. It was 4 in the morning. Arohi and Arjun talking at 4 in the morning is not a big deal. As they talk like chatter boxes on the phone but only with each other all the time.
"Yes Right now! Woh actually it is something very important! It is about my life" She sounded serious, the expressions on Arjun's face changed from a frown to a serious and then to a smile. As he thought that maybe she will confess her love for him and will finally accept him. Arjun kept on thinking.
"Hello? Arjun? Are you still there?" She said.
"Uhh..Yahh..I am..Umm.Ok...So shall I pick you up?"
"No..I am already here..Please come fast! Please." She said.
"Ok I'll be there in 30 minutes! Bye! Take care!"
"Bye"
And she disconnected the call.
After disconnecting the phone, he immediately got up from the bed, took a shower as he was stinking bad, and changed into some good and smart clothes, and with him he took the special diary of his life which had everything written about Arohi, his love, and he used to call his diary...Sunshine..As it described his whole journey with Arohi In his Life... And he drove the college.
Arjun and Arohi from day 1 of the college were very close friends; Arohi was one of the popular girls and Arjun one of the popular boys. Boys and Girls of the college used to die for going out just on a single date with them. But they never even looked at them, as they were always with each other, chatting, having fun. And even at the time of the prom night, they both used to go together. But still they were not friends, neither they were a couple yet, but they were something which swung between True Love and True friendship. But, slowly Arjun started to fall for her, that was the 3rd year of their college, and he started giving her hints, like bringing chocolate for her every day, keeping her away from all the hot dudes of the college and etc.
Now it was the 4th year going on but still she has not replied to her hints yet. And in this time span, Arjun had his diary which he names as "SUNSHINE",As he used to call his Arohi, sunshine, reason being that they first time met & ever since then she's brought brightness in his life. And when today, Arohi said that it something important about her life; he thought she is finally confessing it to him, so he is carrying the diary along with him in the hope of having her in his life and a soulmate. Arjun was a middle class boy and he only got a pocket money of Rs. 5000/month. Which was really less to fulfill his needs, but still he spent it all after buying things for Arohi.Arohi's dad was a real gunda, he was really strict and would kill anybody if he misbehaves with her daughter.
He finally reached the destination and parked his bike outside the college; he set up his hairs once again looking at himself in the rear view mirror. And prayed to god silently. He hid his diary at the back of his jacket and placed it inside his jeans but outside his boxers.
When he came to college he couldn't find her so he called her again.
"Hello Arohi?"
"Arjun where the hell are you?"
"Oho Arjun I am on the terrace! Our meeting place! We always meet here! Remember?"
"Oh..Hehe sorry I forgot..I'm coming..(While talking he never noticed the table on the way and he fell down!" aaaeeeooo"
"Kya hua Arjun..Are you fine???"
"Aeeoo mummy..I fell down" He said in a kiddish way.
"Arjun..Please you are in college ab kum se kum apni ye kiddish language toh change karlo!"
"Huhh..Byeee" He dosconnected the call. After Arohi disconnected the call, she smiled to herself and whispered..."Badmaash".
He finally came on the dark terrace and saw Arohi sitting there, she was wearing simple white shorts with a yellow cute top.
"Hey Sunshine..."He came and kissed on her forehead.
"Hey Arjun.." She hugged him. He kissed her because he loved her but she always used to think like he is kissing as a friend. Poor Arjun.
"There you go!" He handed her some flowers.
"Aww..Thanks Arjun I love you yaaar!" She said him as a friend but he still blushed.
"Umm..You wanted to talk about something na? What is it?"
"Oh Yahh...Mai toh bhool hi gai thi! Anyways..Arjun..Please please don't laugh at me ok?"
"Tumhe lagta hai I will?" He asked.
"No..Ok fine...So Umm...Do you know AD?"
"AD?...Ohh... Aditya dhingra ? Our senior?"
"Exactly? You know what????? Eeeps(She was acting really excited) He proposed me!!!!!! OMG! The hottest GUY of the college proposed me!!! OMG I can't beleive this!!!! And I said yes to him! OH GODDD! I am sooo happy yaar! Arjun but I just wanted to ask ki maine kuch galat toh nai kia na?"
He was heart-broken, shocked, shattered, he felt that something just pierced his body and cut it into million of pieces, He was shattered! It was not like the first time Arohi was saying and going mad about a guy, but this time she was serious about the guy. So he felt something itchy and bad. He just wanted to run away, but he coudln't as he was her closest friend ever. So he just couldn't! He had to be there for her support. She trusts him.
"Arjun...Why are you looking so lost? Maine kuch galat to nai kia na? Arjun please tell me..Don't hesitate! Tell me na please...I only and only have trust in you..and If you'll say no to that guy...Then that will be my decision as well..Please..Tell me?" She said.
He was touched after seeing the trust and true feelings for him in her heart. How can he break them? How can he act so selfish? He had to act strong. So he forgot about all his pain and bought a smile on his face.
"Arrey pagal hai kya sunshine? I was just thinking aese hi...Aur toone bohot accha kia jo use YES bol dia..I..I could see true love in his eyes for you Arohi.. You guys are made for each other!" he said.
"Thanks dude!" A rough voice from the back spoke.
"Adiii..." Arohi said excitingly, got up, and hugged him, and kissed him on his lips. Arjun faced the other way. "What are you doing here?" She asked aditya..."Surprise surpriseee sunshine!" He said to Arohi. Arohi smiled and hugged him again. he felt hurt, How could ADITYA call AROHI Sunshine? It was not his right? Was it?
"I...I think I should leave!" Arjun said and started to walk. He expected Arohi to stop him, but she didn't. That time maybe adi was more important for him.
He came back home, and was all frustrated, and heart-broken. His heart was filled with love. But now his heart was closed, and a CLOSED HEART is the WORST PRISON for any lover. But Unfortunately, he came out to be that lover. He never knew what to do? Call her? What if she gets disturbed by his call? Now he had to think before doing anything.
He took out his diary and wrote till 9 in the morning, he never went to college excusing saying that he is suffering from cold and is not at all well. He neither replied to Arohi's messages nor picked up anybody's call. The people who came to their house rang the bell 100 times but he never bothered to open the door. He was just a prison locked up in the closed heart.
This sort of routine went up for the nest 1 whole week. Arohi came several times to his house but he never opened the door. It was the 7th day after Arohi being with aditya. In all those seven days Arjun kept on writing his diary ON and ON.
In the college
"OK...So class is everybody present?"
Arohi and adi were sitting in the class together, Arohi was looking a bit tired as she was really depressed for the fact that where has actually Arjun gone? In these days she realized the importance of Arjun. She was feeling like hugging him and giving a tight slap to him, and then after that kissing him hard. This sort of a thinking coming in her mind was making her feel more weird and was making her hell confused. But She spoke up...
"No Mam...Arjun is again absent today!"
"What are you saying Arohi..Don't you know?"
"What ma'am?" She asked.
"He has left this college"
These words shocked her, the moment she heard them, after that she couldn't hear any other single word. She Immediately ran out of the college, and drove to his house. ENOUGH! She couldn't bear more. How long will he take now? Enough is enough!
She stood in front of his house and saw his father's men coming out of the door.
"Arrey...aap log yaha kya kar rahe hai?" She asked.
But they all passed her a dirty smile and walked out. She could smell it out that something is wrong. She went in the house and saw everything messed up. Taht made her more scared, her heart started beating more and more faster.
"Arjun...Arjuun???" She shouted out the second time, more louder as she saw a body lying in front of him, the hand of that body was trying to reach her.
"Arjun..who did this to you?? Arjun..tell me who?? Arjun?"
