Muhabbat Ki Raahon Me (Translation: In The Path Of Love) is a Fan fiction written by Ayushi Kashyap, based on the once popular youth show Dill Mill Gayye (aired on STAR One). Muhabbat Ki Raahon Me (also known as MKRM) was intially written as a chain of prediction episodes which later took shape of a Fan fiction. The first ever prediction episode of Muhabbat Ki Raahon Me was written and posted at a Dill Mill Gayye blog on June 18th 2008. The storyline revolves around Armaan and Riddhima (the protagonists of Dill Mill Gayye) and the challenges they face in the path of their love.

Story

The story commences on the eve of Shashank and Padma's wedding and then picks up pace. Armaan and Riddhima confess shortly afterwards. Shashank remains dubious on Armaan's integrity which leads to Riddhima's nervous breakdown. Armaan saves Riddhima from a few gangsters by suffering a gunshot himself in the process. This leaves Shashank in no doubt on Armaan's love for Riddhima.

The focus never shifts from the main couple but the sub characters introduced bring fresh and interesting twists to the story.

Luck doesn't favor Armaan and Riddhima who have to separate time and again due to unavoidable circumstances. Their relationship only strengthens with time and whensoever they reunite, it is depicts more love, passion and devotion.

Sequel

The author ended Muhabbat Ki Raahon Me after Armaan and Riddhima's wedding. With the readers' unceasing demands and requests, a sequel was written with the name ''Muhabbat Ki (Nayi) Raahon Me'' (Translation: In The (New) Path Of Love). The sequel resumes the story without any pass overs and ventures smoothly into the Episode 421.

Author

The 19-year old author Ayushi Kashyap (also known as Lovy) lives in India. Ayushi has also written another Fan Fiction named ''Jab Dill Milley'' which is currently progressing with the third volume. Ayushi has been named as the MKRM Princess by her readers.

Controversies

The first controversy occurred in September 2009, when a reader discovered that Muhabbat Ki Raahon Me had been plagiarised on Star Forums. A certain scene was copied almost word to word by a member of Star Forums and used in a story without the permission of the author of Muhabbat Ki Raahon Me. The said member and Star Forums moderators were approached but no appropriate action was taken as such. Before the discussion turned into a nasty fight between the Star Forums members and the readers of Muhabbat Ki Raahon Me, Ayushi requested her readers to step back with dignity and the matter was dropped. But not forgotten. This controversy led to an early termination of Muhabbat Ki Raahon Me.

Another controversy occurred in December 2010, when a few people started sending abusive mails to the author. That was the time when Ayushi had got newly married. When the situation grew worse, Ayushi's husband left a note for the readers of Muhabbat Ki Raahon Me and Ayushi (along with her Fan Fictions) vanished from internet in the hope of leading a peaceful married life.

Criticism

Muhabbat Ki Raahon Me frequently divulges unhappy tracks which provoke the break ups of Armaan and Riddhima. For a typical couple to break up so many times and then to reunite seems quite extraordinary.

The main couple takes the limelight almost all the time and the other characters, however important they might be for the story, are sidelined. Least or no emphasis is given on their love lives, even though Muhabbat Ki Raahon Me is a romance saga.

The most awaited wedding scenes of Armaan and Riddhima have been simply glossed over, incurring the disappointment and frustration of the readers.

Even if we ignore a number of bloopers in the story, Muhabbat Ki Raahon Me remains quite impractical and surreal.

Achievements

Muhabbat Ki Raahon Me has completed 433 episodes and remains unbeaten as the longest Fan fiction based on any Hindi TV show.

Muhabbat Ki Raahon Me won the Most Popular Fan Fiction Award in 2009 on Dill Mill Gayye blog.

Muhabbat Ki Raahon Me also won the Best Achievement Award in 2011 on Dill Mill Gayye blog.

Appreciation

Muhabbat Ki Raahon Me uses a simple language that is easy to understand and comprehend. At the same time, the language used is effective enough to involve the readers deeply into the story.

The saga connects with the readers instantly, from the first episode itself. The readers actually feel the various emotional highs and lows of the protagonists, smile in their happiness and cry in their pain.

The dialogues of Muhabbat Ki Raahon Me are inimitable classics and invoke admiration from the readers time and again.

Muhabbat Ki Raahon Me frequently digs into the social and national issues prevalent in India. It surely is a commendable effort towards creating awareness among the masses.

The story never remains stagnant for a long time. The unexpected turn of events and introduction of new characters prove more than successful in entertaining the readers.

The apparent far-fetchedness of the saga goes down well with most of the readers. Muhabbat Ki Raahon Me is believed to be a fairy-tale and the readers find it easy to dissolve themselves into an unrealistic world, one of Armaan and Riddhima and their undying, undiluted, unconditional love.

Kanjoos Reporter!!! 😡

The author is on a 7-day tour to Zurich (Switzerland). Because of the khufiya-reporter being kanjoos, we could not contact the author. Up till now, there is no positive news regarding any update of MKRM. We are trying to get the reporter to call the MKRM Princess, but our efforts dont have any impact on the kanjoos reporter. The kanjoos reporter is on a run. If any devotee finds THE kanjoos reporter in or around the CC, the Devotee is requested to bombard the kanjoos reporter with jootas and chappals.

Khufiya Reporter is Back!!!

The khufiya reporter is all hale and hearty, raring to be back. The author is a bit pissed off with MKRM because of the side-effects it seems to be having on us Devotees. Since the reporter was in his burrow for the last 2-3 weeks, that's all he could manage to write for us. The reporter finds himself unfit to question the author about MKRM's comeback, though he is fit enough to finds opportunities for eye-lock sessions with the author. Time to get the back of the reporter who is back! Jootas, chappals still welcomed.
