Now that your role as Jassi is over, what's next?
It' too early to say anything. Working as a protagonist of a TV serial is very tiring and having finished the shoot only recently, I am planning a month-long vacation. I plan to chill out and relax a bit in the backwaters of Kerala.
Do you feel the Plain Jane image that you portrayed in the serial could work to a disadvantage in your career now?
Not at all! Surprisingly, I am getting very different kind of roles; they are a far cry from Jassi. I've been receiving offers for anchoring and hosting TV shows as well and it is something I would love to do.
Working on another serial would be very tiring - I want a stress-free schedule. Moreover, doing various types of roles on screen would actually add to my repertoire as an actor; I would love to do something different.
Have you made any conscious efforts to break your image as Jassi?
I don't plan to break the image. For, I played the role of an employee, daughter, boss and model in the same serial. I guess it is enough to prove one's worth as an actor. I need not play the role of a vamp to prove myself as an actor all over again.
Are you receiving any roles for the big screen?
I did receive a couple of movie offers and none of those roles were on the lines of Jassi! However, I am focusing only on small screen for now. That's where I've earned my popularity. So, I am not going to leave TV for sure.
