well I have been member of many (hmmm not many) but yea decent number of forums here on IF.. & debate mention is one of those slow moving forum... what do you think why Debate mention is one of the slow running Forums?

because of -

1. Less interesting topix?
2. Less Sensational topix?
3. Less scandalizing topix?
4. people give damn about real issues.. they like reel better?

There is lots of intersting topics here...but I think, some are fear to loose argument, some are depend on Groups.. Some people fear others judgements...Some people agree with everybody!! like this lots blah blah complex thoughts they fear to post...😊

I think interesting is subjective what seems interesting to us looks hopelessly worthless to many.. do you really think people think that much before replying on IF boy! I wanna meet these virtual chicken hearts 😆 for once I wanna play bully

I think the biggest problem is that most people don't know the section exists. I was on the forum for quite some time, and I didn't know that this section existed. I know the link is there, but it is just like any of the other links that I never bothered to click on. What brings most people to the forum is a show or a celebrity that they keep up with. Discussing that show or celebrity is their goal and that can be easily accomplished by visiting that section. However, no one ever logs on thinking, hmmm, I want to have a nice debate today. (At least I don't. 😆)

However, I will say that there was once a time when if you visited this section once - it was very, very difficult to leave. I will credit that kind of attraction and addiction to the highly active (and interesting) members that were present at the time. It was fun debating with them and that is how I got hooked. DM is facing a low right now, but hopefully it'll pick back up soon.

I must be the only person on IF who actually logs on thinking, hmm I want to have a nice debate today. 😆 I like arguments, not for the sake of arguing (though I am guilty of it) but for the kind of intellectual exchange it can bring about.
