Part 21

A month passed since Maan went back to Mumbai Chameli was still not able to understand what went wrong between the two, she has joined Adi as his assistant, she was a commerce graduate and now that Adi completed his CA he established his own office, Adi looked after the affairs of KE and managed things well.

Adi was sitting in his office looking at the date it was 28^th Dec, "Kavita, remember this date?" she sighed "yes, two more people on opposite ends of the globe also would be sulking on this date, their so called marriage anniversary" as she completed her sentence Simran entered the cabin "whose marriage anniversary are you two talking about" she enquired keeping the Tiffin on the central table, it was her practice to bring lunch when they worked on Sundays. "hi, Simran, nothing just passing our time as it was becoming hard to work on empty stomach" Kavita said opening the Tiffin container "wow, Simran you are a great cook, it looks yummy, and what is in that box" Adi joined her "come Simi you also join us in ruining the decorations, and yes what's there in the box" "it's a cake" "CAKE" both said in unison, "yup, remember you said yesterday that today is your best buddy's special day and you miss them a lot today" "thanks Simi you are a darling"

After the lunch and a piece of cake they sat there "Di, whose anniversary were you talking about?" Kavita looked at her and said "Simran can I ask you something" "yes why not?" "I was wondering do you know about your Veer ji, I mean Maan, much" "no, IDK much but he is a nice person" Adi went to his table to let the ladies gossip , "Simran, you know we had one more friend Geet, in our group" " oh Rajji's sister" "you know her" "no, I met her at the wedding, you know Amma always took me with her to the Handa's for help" "yes, did you like her" "to be frank, she seems to be a very non smiling and serious type, I mean she was very reserved she hardly talked" "may be she was out of place, she had been abroad for long" "Di, is it true that she funded the case" Kavita gave her a surprised look "who told you?" "No one, it was that Amma was thanking her and asking for her account number, Amma said she wanted to transfer 4 lac or some thing in her account" Adi jerked and asked "and what did she say?" Simran was like confused "nothing, Amma was not paying much attention to her, she turned pale and said that it was for her father she did every thing there was no need for repayment and she went" Kavita asked "what else did they talk?" trying to recall she said "not much, but the way Amma referred her relation ship with veer ji, it seemed Veer ji respected her a lot" Adi insisted "what were they talking and who is this other person" "Rano aunty, Amma was telling her about Sameera, how perfect she would be with veer ji, and was also saying that she was afraid to talk to veer ji so it would be nice if Geet talked to him about the marriage" Kavita looked at her in shock "and Geet was listening, OMG, and what did Geet say" "is there something wrong, I mean it was just a conversation it was not like that Amma was forcing Sameera on Veer ji" Adi said "Simi, what did Geet say then?" "nothing she just nodded and left" "Adi, now you got it, OMG, I never thought about all this" said Kavita, she added further "Adi, she came to me as soon as she got rid of her baggage, she was so happy, you know she was like on 7^th cloud, she said that she will tell him what all she went through in his absence and then all he would do is not let her go, and he will pay all the contract money and ask her to marry in the same mandap as Rajji" Simran was confused "wait, Maan Veer ji loves this Geet, and because Amma said all those things she went back a day earlier, then lets go and tell veer ji all this and Amma also" Adi looked at his innocent wife "Simi things are not that easy, you know Geet is 3 yrs older then Maan" Simran did not get it "so what, even Sachin Tendulkar's wife is older then him, and Nargis was older then Sunil Dutt and there are many more examples" Kavita looked at her "Simran, are you from this world, I mean you are so sweet" "Di, look at the positive side Amma likes Geet and veer ji love her, Rano aunty likes veer ji and Geet loves him, problem solved, but I must say there was never a problem, just a small communication gap" Adi said, "hope things are this easier"

Maan was behaving like nuts, he was not ready to listen to any thing, he did not come to his home till his MBA was completed.

May 2005, Mumbai

Today Maan was on his way back to his town, he was not quite happy but now he had no reason to stay back, so he was at present boarding the plane.

Savitri was very nervous, she was told about the whole Maaneet MU by Kavita and Adi, she was feeling guilty was separating the best two people in her world, but she has decided that she will tell Maan every thing and make him go to Berkley to bring back Geet, her Bahu to the KM.

"Adi, take the car to the office" said Maan, "but Maan, Amma is waiting for you since morning" said Adi, "its ok call her tell I'll join her at dinner" his attitude made Adi shrink in shell, he was not able to say any thing further.

Later Savitri tried hard to tell Maan but his arrogance and gait made her nervous.

As days passed Maan became more and more rude, he lost his temper very soon, he was not able to tolerate any negligence in the coming year he became the most promising entrepreneur of India.

April 2006, KM

Savitri received a letter from Dr. Swaroop Nath that her works have been complied and have been sent to the publishers, the launching was in September during the convocation at the university, and she was invited along with her family.

She went to Maan and showed him the letter, Maan said he will not be able to accompany her but he will make sure Simran and Adi went with her.

Berkley

"hurry up, Geet we are getting late" said Dev, "coming, bro is it ok that you will take the twins with you, its for 2 years" said Geet in tears, "Geet, they will be ok, but honey will you be able to live without them" said NT arranging the luggage in the car, "Jeet Preet Sunaina Dervish hurry kids its getting late" called Russell.

Dev and NT have completed their tenure in US and were transferred back to India, they were taking all 4 kids with them as NT insisted that Geet will not be able to cope up with them here all alone, Russell and Lucy were also going with them, Geet had got a staff quarter in the university premises which she will share with Julie, Geet tenure finishes in August 2008 so she will join them then, till then the kids will live with Dev and NT, Dev was to join his father Randhaava's department and was in charge of the cold cases there, NT has opted for VRS, as she now wanted to live like a full time home maker, though she will join the training centre later.

Awesome part. But let me guess. This twins will come close to maan and indirect attraction to maan like tm story. Am i rite? Or any mu more :(

LOved it, thanx dear for the update but waiting to see maan knowing about the kids and i want the kids to stay with geet. How can she let go her kids for 2 yrs.plsss update soon.
