ok...so...brace yourself for a completely off track...at times random and utterly out of order comment...im warning you now...dont complain later 😆...and i make no apologies for my randomness or my ranting 😉...

so i was directed towards this ff by a friend/coworker of mine...whom oddly enough, i got addicted to Geet...she knows what kind of stories i like...wait...let me rephrase that...she knows what style of writing i like to read...so she sends me things she knows ill enjoy...and when she sent me this one...at first...i was a bit hesitant...61 parts...thats a lot to catch up on ...i read part one...and while good...i wasnt sure if i wanted to continue only cuz the sheer volume of your updates...61 PARTS! 😲...but i continued...and thank God that i did...because...I LOVED EVERY PART!!! 👏👏

here goes my random list of things i liked/loved...

i simply loved how you built the Maneet relationship at the beginning...it was surprising that Geet was his lab partner in school yet this duffer had no idea that he'd employed the same girl he used bunsen burners with!! 😆...the way you handled and portrayed the entire sequence of pre, during and post Geet's attack scenes...marvelous...just amazing...from the title..."Tum Kaun Ho"...i was half expecting for Geet to wake up with no memory and then Maan feeling guilty taking her home and blah blah...i was NICELY surprised that she remembered and was still ready to spit fire...woman power baby!! ⭐️...ok...Jaime Dimon...i laughed my A*S off when i saw his name...🤣...probably not the reaction you expect for the CEO of JP Morgan Chase...but...you wont believe...my brother and bhabi are underwriters for loans at Chase...my Jiju is management in underwriting for Chase...and my Di is in management for forclosed properties for Chase and my other bhaia used to be in collections...and i have another cousin who is a financial analyst......omg...just yesterday at a family dinner these four couldnt shut up about Chase!!! so when i saw his name...i was like yahaan paar bhi Chase 🤢...

ok...this MSK...he's a hoot...even when he's not trying to be 😆..Geet was scolding him for something when he says "...you went and got yourself attacked..." (or something along those lines)...i died laughing!! 😆😆...and when Dadi sends him shopping for Geet...he tells Sasha (lmfao at her "real" name 🤣) ...that he needs "you know, top, botton and shoes" and lets not forget the under things!!! 🤣...button down easily removed...can you blame sasha for getting all jealous!! i sure cant..he's freggin MSK!! 😲...and when Geet sees her new wardrobe..."what did you tell her about me that she thought i was a STRIPPER!" 🤣..i had to control myself because i was at work reading!! 😉...

the repeated run-ins with Sameera (😡)...leading to Maan saying Geet was his gf...saw that coming...but loved it...😳...that silent game Geet did with JD! tauba...thats genius!! 😲...how awesome is that!! omg...i have to try that...i've got tons of nieces/nephews (not really but they seem like a ton when they get all rowdy ) ...ill spring for cupcakes from Sprinkles if they sit quietly...JD asking about Maneet's baby...HI-larious!! and then later on when Geet says "thats enough about Aaron mom"...ha ha...🤣...its not Aaron's mom...its Aaron...besharam ladka...kaise kaise baatein karta hai woh bhi school mein! 🤔...Dadi is awesome...i just love her!! planning their valentines day..aww!! and omg Vermillon...ive seen it on Food Network...the chef was on iron chef...we all watched that episode...gotta support our Desi people 😃...but come one...Chimmi churri NY strip...really!? REALLY!? ...come one...yes desi food is a bit on the messy side...bur you're at an INDIAN restaurant!! uff!! ...iss MSK ka kya bigad jata if he at some naan and daal? 😡...speaking of chimmi churri though...i want some...we have this place by work...omg...we eat there at least once a week...they have these beef stake kababs w/ chimmi churri...*jaz salivating* 😲...and his talk about it being unhygienic...oye hello...this is a restaurant...not some sadak ka dhaba!!

so...as the v-day dinner goes on...when Maan pulled out that ring...i literally gasped...people sitting in my lobby...they looked up at me..one even asked if i was ok...tauba! ! 😳...what am i supposed to tell them!? i cant very well tell them that im drooling over MSK now can i? 😛...and omg...Tiffany's diamond bracelet...and she GAVE IT BACK! 😲...give it to ME!!! 😳...the dressing room closeness/teasing...wow oh wow!! ⭐️...left me breathless for sure!!! the black dress w/ the slit...amazing!! i loved that you showed us pictures so we had an idea for what we should picture Geet in 😃...i love SUSHI...now i want some sushi...😃...Geet should totally try it...and tauba...Sameer as the hotel employee!? i nearly hit the floor! i had to make sure i was reading right!! 🤓...Maan's reaction to Geets bikini...i died laughing 🤣...he called it underwear! men i tell you...they dont mind checking out the bikini clad chicks at the beach but God forbid their girl should wear one...uff!! 😡...hypocrites!!

ok...EWWW @ BRIJ!! 🤢...🤬...i cant comment more on that cuz im gonna throw up and then break something!! 😡

the part when Geet wants to leave and Maan says "you cant leave me"...haye haye...and when later she says that bit about being "broken inside"...KILLED ME...just KILLED ME!! 🥺... bechari...kya kya sehna pada usse!! Maan protectiveness of her at the police station was heart warming...just...amazing...he's so...*sigh*...awesome!! 😍...Geet bday was perfect...the engagement was perfect...Dadi's reaction...NT's reaction...🤣...i think i did exactly what NT did when my best friend told me she was gonna get married...after the initial shock wore off...i was like...OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG!! (you get the idea 😛) ...now the kidnapping part...i knew...it couldnt be Sameera...as evil as she may be...she's stupid...only an idiotic person would make threats in broad day light 🤣...no way she's smart to plot a kidnapping...but i had a funny feeling about NT's from the time she was introduced...so it wasnt shocking that she was the mastermind behind it all...killing Vicky/Meera...but why!? that we dont know yet...or do we?! i dont think so...but if i missed that...fill me in...

ok...now...on to JD...omg...his name is LOOONG! 😲...JD is better 😆...he's adorable...from his wanting to see HIPPIES at the zoo!! 🤣...to asking if the curling machine hurt...it melted my heart...his attachment with Geet was superb...speaking of which...i thought maybe Geet got a degree in like Child Development or something since she knew the insides of a childs psyche so well...wanting to keep his routine the same ever after her attack...knowing that children need that...amazing...his fear over loosing her...his reacting by sleeping with her...perfectly portrayed...i felt like i was reading a case study in one of my college text books!! 👍🏼..when i fell in to the track...my heart stopped!! omg...i was glued to my computer screen!!! 😳...amazing..just wow!! JD reaction to the engagement...drinking his milk/juice and then going to tell everyone cuz Dadi said so 🤣..how precious is he!? i could pinch his cheeks!!! 😳...

i loved the relationship you showed that Geet had with NT, Dadi, Pinky (OMG she's preggers!! 😲 but Adi's away? 😆) and Nakul was awesome...she is her own person...it doesnt just all start and end with MSK...she has her own relations with his family...perfect!! 👏...Dev and Maan's relationship was good too..."never assume you know what they are thinking" and "you know whos boss" 🤣...he's too funny...in my head...Dev is as Samir not Abhinav...not that it matters to you 😆...

ok...phew!! that was a hell of a long comment...but im not done yet... (this was for the story only 😉)...

at one point i saw someone said they didnt feel a connection between the writer and the story/fans...PUH-LEASE!! im sorry but that crap...not all writers have the time to reply to comments...i know i dont...sure...if someone asks a question..ill answer...but i dont reply to everything...when u buy a book...do you feel a "connection" with that author..NO...your connection is to the story and the characters! and i get that connection here...i also get a connection with you because you go above and beyond to give us as much reality based info as you can (im a huge fan of that ⭐️) ...and you take time to give us visuals...if that isnt creating a connection...i dont know what is!! 😃...you're awesome...oh and that thing you said about immaturity on the forum courtesy of teenage-mentality aunties...couldnt agree with you MORE!!! 👍🏼

"Mom, I don't get why are you going to America?" asked Harsh, as Dev pulled the car into the parking lot at Indira Gandhi International Airport.

"Harsh, you know that Taya is marrying my friend Geet. I'm going to go there to help Dadi get everything ready for the wedding."

"Yeah, but I thought we were all going to go after school was done. That's what you told me. I don't get why you're going now, especially..." yawn, "when it's dark."

"Well, the plans changed a little bit. You and Daddy will stay here, and come when we planned, but Meenal and I will go now. I want you to promise me to be good for Daddy, and Deepal Aunty will be coming to help take care of the house. I don't want you to give her any trouble."

"Okay."

Dev, Naintara and Harsh got out of the car, and Dev took out the luggage with Harsh helping, while Naintara got a sleeping Meenal carefully out of her carseat. Then, as they walked into the busy airport, Dev got on his phone and began to talk to Maan. They discussed the flight details, and of course, Harsh had to have his chance to talk to his taya. They spoke for a few minutes, with Harsh telling about his different activities at school, and Maan saying how excited he was to see them all at the wedding. Eventually Dev took the phone back and finished the conversation.

"Alright, Darling, I've gone over everything with Bro. He and Geet will be there to pick you up when the flight lands."

The husband and wife gave each other a look that conveyed their love and concern for each other. No words were necessary. They had already said everything in their conversations earlier that day. All that was left was to be each other's support, even while they would be thousands of miles apart.

"The flight is on time. She should be coming soon."

"Stay calm, Geet, it will take a while. You know it's Memorial Day weekend, and with all the people traveling, things will be busier than usual. Plus, Naintara has to deal with a young child as well as going through immigration and customs."

Maan and Geet were waiting at O'Hare airport for Naintara and Meenal, with Geet very anxious and Maan trying to reasure her. Their hands were clasped tightly, and Maan was rubbing his hand over her's in gentle, soothing motions. Soon they saw an elegantly dressed young woman carrying a small child in her arms, struggling to pull the large rolling suitcase, walking toward them.

Geet couldn't help the loud, "Di," that escaped from her lips as soon as she saw Naintara. Maan and Geet rushed over to her, with Maan grabbing the suitcase and Geet taking the baby's bag.

"How was the flight?" asked Geet, trying to act normal.

"Long," replied Naintara heavily. "Even flying first class it was difficult, but I think Meenal did pretty well for her first flight. Come on sweetie, don't you want to say high to Taya and Tayi?"

The little girl looked at them with wide eyes before turning to hide her head in her mother's neck. The three adults laughed at the natural reaction from a child her age. Meenal Khurana was much too young to recognize these people she had never met as anything but strangers.

Seeing the distress in Geet's eyes that she couldn't mask, Naintara said, "It's not some bad dream that I'll wake up from, is it."

"Sorry, Di," said Geet, not knowing what else to say.

Sighing as though the weight of the world was on her shoulders, Naintara said, "Never mind. Let's go."

"Di, I'm sure that you're very tired. We've already got a room ready for you and Meenal where you can rest."

"No, Geet. I admit that I'm exhausted, but I can't rest. I can't rest until I've seen her. I have to know why she did this."

"Tayi! I can't believe you're here!" JD came running down the stairs with Stella right behind him, flinging himself at his aunt for a big hug.

Stella was so exited that there were new people for her to get to know that she couldn't help but bark. The loud noise startled Meenal, who began to cry, big fat tears rolling down her chubby little cheeks. JD was shocked and wanted to know what was wrong with her.

"JD, Meenal's not used to her family in Chicago yet. It will take a little while before she stops feeling scared, and I think she's missing her Dad and brother."

"Well, we should get the Skype so she can see Harsh and Taya. That will make her feel better."

"Not so fast with those plans, Mr. JD Khurana. You need to get dressed and ready for Mass," said Dadi as she walked sedately down the steps.

"Hello, Dadi," greeted Naintara, leaning in for a hug when the older woman got close.

"Naintara," Dadi responded with love, "it's good to have you back. I just wish it was under better circumstances."

"Hey, Tayi, you and Meenal can come with us to Mass, if you want."

"Thanks for the invitation JD, but I think Meenal's the only one who can go with you. I need to go for some important work with Uncle and GT. Dadi, will you be alright, taking care of Meenal?"

Dadi held out her arms and took the little girl lovingly. "Of course I'll get along fine. This is just the kind of opportunity that I want to spend time with my sweet little par poti."

JD frowned, his little face srunched up in concentration as he pulled on Naintara's sari pallu. "Tayi, what do you have to do with Uncle and GT?"

Naintara looked a little flumoxed at his question, not sure how to explain to a six year old that she had to visit her mother in jail. The same mother who was responsible for all the heartache the family had been forced to endure. Geet was the one who came to the her rescue, answering JD's question.

"Tayi is going to go to the police station with Uncle and me. We have to help the police a little bit and Tayi is going to help us with that."

JD's frowned even more and threw his arms around Geet's waist. "GT, why do you have to go to the police? I don't like it! Something will happen to you. You promissed not to leave me."

"Don't worry, JD. I'm here now. I promise that I will take care of GT," said Naintara comfortingly.

JD looke at Naintara with doubtful eyes. "Are you sure, Tayi? Because some bad people were trying to hurt GT, and I don't want that to happen again."

"I'm sure, JD. Nothing will happen to your GT now."

wow so finally naintara has arrived in chicago n first wants to know why her mom did all this... hmm... feel bad for NT
