Very shocking promo, but its the reality of such work... The only way out is death... The realistic touch in your ff is very nice, it makes the ff even more interesting to read.. Looking forward to what Nupur-Taani will do to arrange the money..waiting for this...

Chapter Eight

Mayank stared at Nupur as if he was pleading her not to say anything. Nupur stared at Mayank and then at Anurag and Taani. Anurag and Taani stood there confused.

Anurag: Bataa naa Nupur!
Nupur: Onu Da, woh baat yeh hai ki, mujhe..
Taani: Tujhe kya, Nupur?
Nupur [smiling with pride]: Mujhe next round ke liye select kiya gaya hai.

Anurag, Taani and Mayank smiled broadly. Mayank felt relieved as Nupur didn't say anything to Anurag. Anurag hugged Nupur in excitement and congratulate her. Taani hugged her and congratulated her as well. At last Mayank came to her smilingly, extended his hand and said, "Congrats!" Nupur smiled at him, shook hands with him and said, "Thanks!"

Anurag: Main fresh hokar aata hoon phir sab milke celebrate karenge.

Taani nodded positively. Anurag left. Mayank and Nupur stared at each other smilingly. Taani looked at them and smiled teasingly. She cleared her throat to make them feel her presence. Finally they were back to the reality.

Taani: Nupur, tu fresh hokar aa, main khaana lagaati hoon.

Nupur nodded smilingly and left. Mayank kept staring at Nupur with a broad smile on his face. Taani looked at Mayank and smiled teasingly.

Taani: Bhai!
Mayank: Bol!
Taani: Nupur bohot khubsurat hai, haina?
Mayank: Ekdum pari ki tarah hai.

Taani covered her mouth with her palm to suppress her laughter. Mayank's eyes widened as he realized what he had told just now. He looked at Taani in an uneasy way.

Mayank (nervously): Mere matlab hai ke woh bohot acchi dost hai meri.

Saying this, Mayank rushed from there in a hurry. Taani stood there laughing.

It was evening now. Taani was busy in the kitchen when Anurag arrived at the doorway of the kitchen. Taani felt Anurag's presence, smiled strangely and turned back.

Taani: Tu kitchen mein? Koi kaam tha kya?
Anurag: Mujhe chaai pini thi.
Taani (smilingly): Tu drawing room mein baith, main chaai lekar aati hoon.

Anurag smiled and nodded. He turned back to the doorway and was about to go. Just then he heard Taani scream in pain.

Taani: Aaooucch!

Anurag turned back and rushed to Taani worriedly.

Anurag: Kya hua?
Taani: Woh galti se maine garam karhaai ko chu liya, iss liye thoda sa jal gaya.
Anurag: Dikhaao.

Saying that, Anurag held Taani's hand to check the burnt wound. Taani's smiled seeing how sweetly Anurag was caring for her. Anurag stared at her wound worriedly. He held her wrist and took her outside the kitchen. He made her sit on the couch. Taani was doing nothing except staring at Anurag and smiled seeing his concern.

Anurag: First-Aid box kaha hai?
Taani (pointing at a direction): Uss drawer mein.

Anurag rushed to that drawer for the first aid box. He brought the box and sat beside Taani. He became busy in applying antiseptic on her wound. Taani silently stared at Anurag with a broad smile.

Anurag: Bohot jal raha hai kya?

Taani smilingly nodded negatively. Anurag smiled seeing Taani smile.

Mayank and Nupur were in Mayank's room. They were having an important conversation.

Nupur: Mayank, maine dada ko sachchai sirf yehi soch kar nahin bataayi kyuki mujhe ummeed hai ke aap chori karna chod denge.
Mayank: Main tujhse waada karta hoon Nupur. Main sab bure kaam chod dunga. Aaj hi boss se baat karunga.
Nupur (smilingly): Mujhe aap se yehi ummeed thi.

Saying this, Nupur stood up and started walking toward the doorway.

Mayank: Nupur..

Nupur turned back.

Nupur: Haan!
Mayank: Thank you.
Nupur: Kis liye?
Mayank: Mere life mein aane ke liye aur mere ko sahi raasta dikhaane ke liye. Pata hai, tu hi woh peheli insaan hai jo koi rishta naa hone ke baad bhi sacche maan se mere baare mein accha socha. Thank you so much!
Nupur (smilingly): Kisne kaha ke humare beech koi rishta nahin hai?
Mayank (confusingly): Matlab?

Nupur came to Mayank and sat beside him. She put her hand on his. Mayank's heart started beating fast at her touch and a strange smile curved on his face.

Nupur: Humare beech dosti aur vishwaas ka rishta hai. Bhale hi hum kuch din pehele hi mile hai par pata hai, Onu Da ke baad agar main kisi ke saath freely baat kar paati hoon toh woh aap hai. Aur waise bhi dosti mein samay kuch maaine nahin rakhta. Maaine rakhta hai toh sirf ek dusre ke liye apnapaan aur dil mein izzat. Aur haan, next time, please mujhe thanks mat boliyega. Maine kuch khaas nahin kiya. Maine jo kuch bhi kiya, sirf apne dost ke liye kiya. Samjhe?

Mayank smiled and nodded positively.

Nupur: Main aati hoon.
Mayank (slight smiling): Theek hai.

Nupur left. Mayank had tears in his eyes, not because he was sad but because he was feeling himself so damn lucky as he had Nupur in his life - a true friend who understood him and bothered to care for him. Taani was his responsibility and he became so busy in taking care of her and giving her all the things she wanted, that he forgot to take care of himself. He forgot to think of those things in his life that would make him truly happy. Of course his dearest sister Taani made him happy always but not the happiness he had always desired for. He never had friends which made him crave for a companion - a companion who would understand him and accept him with all his faults. And now maybe he had found his true companion in the form of Nupur - his true friend. All these thoughts made him smile from his heart.

Taani stood by the window and stared at the sky. She smiled and admired the beauty of the nature. Nupur came to her and stared at her as if she was trying to read her face. After staring for a while, Nupur understood that Taani was lost in some other world.

Nupur: Taani..

Taani didn't respond. Seeing that, Nupur waved her hand in front of Taani's face which made Taani come back to reality. She shook her head and looked at Nupur.

Taani: Tune kuch kaha?
Nupur: Maine kaha toh tha par tum yeh bataao ke tum kis duniya mein khoyi huyi thi?
Taani (confused): Matlab?
Nupur: Matlab mujhe lag raha hai ke tumhe...
Taani: Hold on! Jaisa tu soch rahi hai waisi koi baat nahin hai.
Nupur: Toh phir kya baat hai?

Taani thought for a while - thought if she should share about her confusion with Nupur or not. After a while, she decided that she would share but she wouldn't mention Anurag's name.

Taani: Nupur, main bohot confusion mein hoon yaar.
Nupur: Confusion?! Kaisa confusion?
Taani: Kuch din pehele main kisi se mili. Usko milne ke baad se main har waqt uske baare mein sochti hoon.
Nupur (teasingly): Ahem ahem! Yeh 'woh' kaun hai?
Taani: Sorry but abhi main tujhe nahin bataa sakti. Tu sirf mujhe itna bataa ke yeh love at first sight real life mein hoti hai kya?
Nupur: Umm.. dekho! Mujhe nahin pata ki peheli nazar mein kabhi pyaar hota hai ki nahin. Par haan, mujhe itna pataa hai ki pyaar bas ho jaata hai. Pyaar koi samay ya sharth ke upar depend nahin karta. It just happens! I believe that Kaali Maa ne sab ke liye kisi naa kisi ko toh banaaya hai. Humhe sirf usse pehechanna hai. That's it! Yeh aab peheli nazar ho sakta hai ya baad mein, yeh mujhe nahin pata.
Taani: Oh god! Tu toh mujhe aur bhi confused kar rahi hai.
Nupur: Tumhe akhir confusion kis baat par hai?
Taani: Main confused hoon yeh soch kar ki har waqt main uske baare mein sochti hoon, yeh pyaar hai ya sirf attraction!?!
Nupur: Yeh pyaar bhi ho sakta hai ya attraction! Actually Taani, hum insaano ki feelings baare complex hote hai, iss liye acchaai issi mein hai ki tum sab kuch Kaali Maa ke upar chod do. Wahi tumhe realize karwaayenge ki tumhe usse pyaar hua hai ya tum sirf attracted ho.
Taani: I guess you are right! Thanks yaar. Tujhse baat karke thoda relaxed feel kar rahi hoon.
Nupur: Dosto ko thanks nahin bola jaate. Maine wahi kiya jo ek dost ko karna chahiye.

Hearing what Nupur said, Taani smiled and hugged her. Nupur hugged Taani back smilingly.

also loved tni and anu scene- anu was so concern abt tani...
but according to ur promo- some ppl gonna attack maaynk and anu
but u dint include it in this update- may be we will get it on next part
