Mrinalini Tyagi goes to Bollywood
Caroline D'CruzCaroline D'Cruz, TNN | Jun 9, 2011, 12.07pm ISTTV actor Mrinalini Tyagi who has acted in TV serials like " Kitni Mohabbat Hai", "Rang Badalti Odhni", "Rishta.com" and "Khotey Sikke" has set Bollywood as her goal.
The actress has also done small roles in Imran Khan starrer "I Hate Love Story's" and starred as Imran Hashmi's love interest in "Dil Toh Bachcha Hai Ji". The Femina Miss India finalist from the 2007 batch will next be seen in a lead role in "On the Ramp" opposite Ranvir Shorey. The film is directed by Imran Khalid and produced by Vipin Jain of Ikkon Pictures Company which has produced "Right Ya Wrong" in the past.
Says the actress, "For this role I gave auditions in Mumbai, I got a call for a meeting and then a screen test and a look test." She says it was fun working with her co-star Ranvir shorey and that he was very helpful. Mrinalini has also mentioned that Imran Khan looks like he is fresh out of college and has a chilled out attitude and that it was fun making out with Imran Hahmi in "Dil Toh Bachcha Hai Ji". The actress will also be getting married this year to someone she has been dating since her Miss India days. "I will not name him and my mum says I shouldn't talk about it but I will be getting married in November. He used to work behind the camera during my Miss India days," she says. Here's someone who has a lot to look forward to.
