After having hurled obscenities at each other a few months back, the warring filmmakers patched up during a reality show
Calling KJo's television chat show frivolous, Bhansali stated that he would never watch the show himself. He also told the media that KJo should learn to respect his fellow filmmakers.
This was after the unsuspecting KJo had jokingly talked about the 'blueness' of Bhansali's film Sawaariya and shared a laugh with Sonam Kapoor on his show.
Johar had obviously reacted to Bhansali's sudden anger. Now, however, the war seems to be over. On the sets of an upcoming TV show, the two filmmakers met and hugged putting their fight to rest.
Our source from the sets said, "There have been many problems between the two. However, they met like gentlemen. Both of them spoke for some time and cleared the air. Karan is extremely close to the channel and had gone there to announce his association with the show. Bhansali is the host of the show and so they met."
Karan had earlier said in an interview, after Bhansali slammed his show, "Anyone who chooses the media as a form of communication is clearly not a friend. I think he needs to learn to take himself a lot more lightly than he does. It will be a good thing for him."
This non-friend has however, managed to get back to being friends with KJo, it seems. "The rivalry has been going on for sometime now. Ever since Saawariya released, Bhansali felt that SRK, Farah and Karan have not spared any occasion to make fun of him.
Now that Sanjay has patched up with SRK and Farah, patching up with Karan was on the cards. However, the recent comments on Karan's show only sparked the rivalry further making Bhansali react in a newspaper.
Karan too did not take his reaction lightly and blasted him in an interview. However all seems to be fine now. Both of them met, cleared the air and spoke to each other for some time. They even hugged each other making it clear that all is well."
While Karan Johar remained unavailable for comments, when contacted Bhansali, his spokesperson confirmed the news and added, "They met very warmly."
