Geet, Hui Sabse Parayee is one of the new serial started on STAR One. The story of the serial is plotted in the Punjabi Traditional family background. Geet (Drashti Dhami) is the daughter of the family for whom they were looking for a bright and prosperous groom, but get in trapped of a family who said that they are settled in Canada. But just on the very next day of the marriage Geet's husband left her at the airport and ran away. Now the real twist of the story has started i.e how Geet will deal with the incidents that took in her life. She is still not able to believe that her husband Dev( played by Abhinav Shukla)has left her. She wants to know the reasons behind this, but her family is not supporting, instead they want her to forget everything.

Geet who used to be lovely, happy and fun loving girl is completely shocked after the facing the ugly reality of her marriage.

This serial is an attempt to warn those families who feel that marrying their daughter to NRI groom is like some dream come true. Many such families have not overcome the shock that their daughter faced after marriage, specially in Punjab state where there are many cases where girl come to know about the real truth about their NRI groom (some were already married, some married just for dowry, some were not having any job in Canada,etc) and now going through the tough legal battle to get their right.
