Vetri's friends hug each other, happy to have won. Vetri touching the home line - unconscious. His team mates realise that, ask for water. The crowd with poRselvi looks on, wondering what happened. Water is sprinkled, given to Vetri who regains consciousness. He is carried by his teammates. poRselvi heaves a sigh of relief. Vetri is declared the winner / selected to play for the State. A trophy presented by PoRselvi (State selectionkku trophy-aa - adang...) The crowd claps and encourages, with notes of congrats. PoRselvi gives him the trophy, winks at him and mouths I Love You. Then she gives a speech wishing Vetri all the best to represent the country and play the olymbic. Invites the team for lunch to her house on behalf of her father. Daddy is not happy, thoughtful, takes leave citing work. PoRselvi also leaves.
The team at PoRselvi's house for lunch. JK watches his wife, daughter and cook serving. PoRselvi asks Vetri if he likes her when serving. PoRselvi's mother praises Vetri's kabaddi playing, and tells his mother should be a punyam paNNinavanga. Vetri remembers his mother. PoRselvi on another round of serving asks if Vetri is in love with anyone else. He doesnt bother to answer her, looks away. The next round she asks him to say I Love You. (idhenna jabardasti - love ellaam thaanaa varaNum ammaa) He doesnt, asks if he is oomai. If he doesnt then she would create a ruckus. He says pidikkala. She calls for daddy. Vetri and company - awaiting whatever is to happen. JK is told that Vetri said he doesnt like to PoRselvi herself. JK questions Vetri how dare he answers like that. All dumbstruck. JK then laughs, says tell whatever you dont like, will change the cook himself. The whole audience have a smile / laugh. This is just an ordinary lunch - feast would be at PoRselvi's wedding. JK invites Vetri and his friends for the feast now itself. What say JK asks PoRselvi. How come my wedding without Vetri, replies PoRselvi. JK wants the meaning of this sentence. She poosi mozhugi says Vetri will become a great player and VIP, then daddy will definitely invite him for her wedding, that is why... All are asked to eat happily.
She is back to needling Vetri. Teases his friend who wants more sambar. After the lunch, the friends stand there talking about the food and how they enjoyed. JK asks his men to ask about their kulam gothram. The friends tell they are ondRE kulam oruvanE dEvan types. Vetri turns around after washing hands to find PoRselvi there. She is in love with him, calls herself a pisaasu (remba seri) kaadhal pisaasu. He just waves her off. Moves forward to find JK who wants to have a word with him.
JK and Vetri go upstairs. JK wants to discuss something important with Vetri. Vetri wonders alound - what can be so important for JK to discuss with Vetri. JK continues.. he came to the kabaddi match thinking someone from his caste will win, but Vetri with his talent won. It is a disappointment for JK (ivaru endha kaalathula irukkaaru) so he wants Vetri to back out of the State team. Send a letter to the selection committee sighting personal problems he says. Then the 2nd placed Deepak who belongs to JK's caste will become a State player. It will make JK & his castemen happy. It is not just JK who is like this, most of them are, only he is talking openly. He is ready to pay as much as Vetri wants. Nothing to think answers Vetri, the rate JK is talking is the price for his mother's soul - priceless - her dream for him to become a State player. Never will he miss this chance and leaves.
Ila and Manga come to the temple. P.Susheela's raksha raksha jagan maatha BGM. Manga asks Ila why come to temple insearch of Subbu. Ila who has a dabba of laddoos(??) in her hand, says went to her house, since she wasnt there came in search of her to the temple. One way it is good, otherwise that Charu would have spoilt Ila's plan. Manga still unaware of Ila's actions asks for explanation. Ila wants Subbu's signature, thats why dabba full of nei uruNdai and seeing her. Subbu is very "chentimental" so can do an emotional blackmail in the temple and get her work done plan envisaged.
Subbu seriously praying. Ila and Manga spot her and follow her. Ila calls her with paasam. Subbu asks if neivedhyam looking at the dabba. Ila brought it for Subbu and not God. Gives it to Subbu. Also tells that Kula in prison can come out only if she signs a paper. Ayya and Ganga consulted with each other and are okay with it, they have submitted their papers already. The stupid Subbu happily signs it. Ila & Manga leave in a hurry. They are stopped by a voice - who can it be, they wonder and turn around - shocked to see...
