Update for Monday May 1-2006

Scene 1

Continuation of previous episode with Manohar/sivdhanu trying to see the samiyar. Deepa turns round asking a shocked manohar whether u want to see the samilyar? Sivadhanu asks manohar this looks like that anjali whose picture u showed that day. Manohar starts running followed by his servant.Deepa is shown to be disappearing into thin air!
Both of them scamper into the vehicle and speed away.

Scene 2

Kailash with Kala come to road side Idli shop and speak to mother/rowdy daughter duo.Daughter tells kala that she is unhappy with Kailash for drinking and watching another girl very closely and also she tells her that Kailash stole some footwear during a function. Kala watches her amusingly and tells her that Kailash takes the drinks for his father only and also says he is very sincere and honest.Kala also tells her that she should rather apologise to Kailash for talking bad to him. She goes and apologises and there is lot of friendly banter between them. Kala thinks it will be nice to see them married as they seem to be an ideal pair.

Scene 3

Thatha counting some 500 rupee notes while lying in his bed and Karthik comes in. Thatha hurriedly hides the money. Karthik show him the photo of deepa which was takn from the mobile. Then he asks thatha what he is going to put in the ad. Thatha says he has to think it out very carefully and he will draft it in the night. Now Karthik demands 500Rs for his efforts and thatha looks shocked and says he does not have the money. Karthik laughs and says I saw u hiding so many 500Rs notes and so give one of that notes. Thatha reluctantly hands over 500 Rs and says may be you may put a stone on me and try to get that money. Karthik says no I will not do it so early and leaves. Now Thatha looks at deepa's photo and comments badly about her features and vows to do something bad for her.

Scene 4

Indira is holding a letter and is seen crying with kala trying to console her.She says a unsigned letter came to her house describing her sister Chandra's character as bad and so the marriage has been stopped. Now her father says indira is responsible for all that and so she says she is very upset. Now she says I don't want to work in that factory with Chandra and I will rather work in this office only. I will beg Ranga madam to give me any type of work here. Now Chandra and deepa come in and indira tells the story again and kala asks chandra whether she believes that indira only wrote that letter and Chandra says she never said that indira wrote that letter. Now deepa takes that letter and after reading that asks Chandra demandingly whether you wrote the letter or not? Chandra says she did not write that letter and then deepa says may be I will have to tell Ranga about this. She further says the letter was written in office stationery and I can make out kadambam products outline. Now Chandra admits that she wrote that letter and says that was because she was upset about her marriage being arranged befoe her elder sister's marriage. Indira gets relieved and apologises to chandra. Now Ranga comes in and seeing the sorrowful faces of the sisters ask the about it. But they go away and Kala tells her it is nothing and you need not know about these small things.

Scene 5

Manohar in his house and wants to light up a cigarette. Now we see a match box with deepa's pic falling on the kitchen table. Manohar shouts for sivadhanu but finding him not responding, comes to the kitchen and takes the match box and sees deepa's pic there. He gets shocked and shouts for his servant who now comes in. He asks him which match box are you using? Sivadhanu says he is using the regular one only. Now manohar says he saw a box with Anjali's pic in that. They both hurry to the kitchen and now they find the regular match box only. Sivadhanu now advises manohar to go and wear the dhayathu immediately because only the mohini pisasu is only doing all these things,he says.
After he leaves, manohar starts thinking that how come others can't see what I saw definitely.

May 2, 2006 - Tuesday updt

This episode was all abt mohini...real and the fake one.

Mohini comes down and her cell rings and it is her MIL calling her mom. She stands outside the main hall and talks to MIL in Uma's voice. In fact, she goes on the offensive and doesn't even let Geethu let in a word. She blasts Geethu and co. for not taking good care of her chella daughter and making her loose her first child. Geethu stammers and says Mohini lost it at work, ennavO, mOdhiram tholacha maadhiri. But Mohini says that her daughter shouldn't h have been to work in the first place and what were they thinking, letting a DIL work and support their family. By now, Geethu is in tears and tries to defend herself; But Uma (mohini) wouldn't hear of it and then says, again there is the necklace matter. sandhula sindhu paadharadhula ivaLa minja yaarumE illai. She tells Geethu that why is she still holding on to the necklace, after all, what it must be just a mere 5 sovereigns. Can't Geethu part with that, after all, her daughter has vEndufied that it will be put in God's hundi; and maybe because of that, she lost her child. MIL says she knew of this necklace matter only recently and will do the needful. She keeps wiping her tears and adhukkum oru dose from fake-Uma...why should you resort to crying like a baby-nu. She then demands the reason why Geethu called. Geethu says, now that Mohini has lost her child, she thought it would be best if Uma took Mohini to her house and take care of her properly since Mohini was not eating well in their house. Mohini cool-aa oru apple saaptundE, ok, neenga onnum paarthukka vEndaam; I will send her dad to pick her up nu sollittu, cuts the line. Varadu kutti comes and sits near Geethu and spots her tears and asks the reason. She says nothing but he is very much concerned. Mohini, thirai maraivil adhukkum oru nakkal...saying why should this man bother if his wife is upset?

MIL takes Mohini to a temple, and sees Mohini eyeing the thottils hanging in the tree. She tells Mohini that very soon, in 3 months time, Mohini will also conceive and goes inside and does archanai in Mohini's name. MIL vEndufies that she has been responsible somehow for DIL losing her baby and to make her conceive again soon. Mohini on the other hand, prays not to give her kids for the next 10 years, until Kadambam FP comes to her hands. She then brings her to the kovil hundi, hands over the necklace and asks Mohini to drop it. Mohini neeli kaNneer vadichu, says, no, I don't want to touch it; it is because it was yours that I did not drop it the first time and as a result, had an abortion. so now, I don't even want anything to do with it. MIL paavam, drops it herself. after seeing a spate of kodumaikaara MILs across the screens in all serials, it is an eye opener to see her taken for a ride by her MIL, that too in a clever fashion; no direct barbs at all; very subtle villiany indeed. While walking out, Mohini observes the thottils again and recalls Uma's words that she better not get rid of this baby or else. she gives a shrug and walks out.

They show Deepa's photo, held by Thatha and he reads aloud the ad he has prepared. saying that they found the above girl, about whom they know next to nothing and will someone who knows her come forward to claim her from their residence on ECR. Rowdy Kartik enters and asks if the ad material is ready and asks for Rs 5000; Thatha balks at the amt but goes to get it from Ranga who just walked in and tells her he wants 7500 asap. Kailash follows her and teases her and Thatha too, saying he has some special sweets for him. He asks Kailash to wait in his room; Ranga hands him 5000 and goes to her room to get the rest. Kartik's friends ask him why ask for double the amt when it costs just 2500 for an ad. He says it is his commission. Kailash comes in and teases Kartik and tells them that he has some fodder for their gossipy ears abt certain actors. Looks like they are all movie freaks and they get up and go. dont know if Kailash observed deepa's picture and ad on the table; Thatha comes in, gives the money to Kartik and asks for his sweets from Kailash who scolds him and says, he has better things to do than get sweets for an old man. Kailash leaves.

Mohini calls up her dad, sobs and asks him to come get her immediately and tells him abt her abortion. He is all contrite and calls her thousand 'baby's, asks her to collect herself and says he will come soon. Uma is listening to this in the background. He snaps the line off, turns and spots Uma but walks off without disclosing anything.

Geethu gives coffee to Varadu and he asks if Mohini ate. She tells him that Mohini is arranging for her dad to come pick her up. Thangavel leaves for work, Geethu and Varadu scold him for not being near his wife and also for shaving his beard. Muthukumar comes in his car and shouts at TV for not taking good care of his precious daughter. TV doesn't want to hear of it, yells back and leaves. Varadus call him inside and he scolds him too. He hugs Mohini, who does the sobbing act and says, look at her; she has gone down so much; and that they are depending on her for everything and aren't they ashamed? they dont take good care of her and let her do all the work in the house; Varadu defends his wife and says it is geethu who does all the work and lets Mohini sit like a Rani and they treat her like one too; in fact, they consider Mohini as a daughter. Kumar wouldn't hear of it and yells at Varadu some more that he should have not given their daughter in marriage to their pichakaara family, look at this dilapitated house, who will live here. Varadu who feebly protests until now has had enough. He says, will you shut up? I have never wanted money from your daughter and I have worked my way through my life; I have put in service for nearly 27 years in a nationalized bank; unlike someone who sits home and eats off his wife's earnings, pointing to Muthukumar and all are shocked.

Mohini just sits there and observes all, probably thinking what next to take to Solaiappan for pawning.

Update for Monday May 8-2006


Continuation of previous episode where Ranga faints on seeing her old photo with the baby.She is seen now lying inside the room with Deepa. Thatha comes and tells Deepa that he allowed her inside only because of her persistent knocking the door. Thatha tells Deepa that she should not
ask any unnecessary things to Ranga and she should only give some refreshments to her.Ranga does not say much and only says this is the day on which she lost her precious thing. She now insists that she will go to work Deepa says Kala has specifically told her that Ranga should not come to work today. Ranga says if I stay here, this demon (thatha) will torture me, she says.

Ranga is seen in the hall with Deepa and more cheerful now. Thatha again comes and says something very nasty about unnecessary people sitting here,referring to Deepa. Deepa tries to leave but Ranga tells her to sit. Ranga tells Thatha not to talk such nasty things. She says this is the day I was separated from her beloved most precious thing. She can never forget about that. In the meanwhile, Doctor comes in to check Ranga and she looks surprised and says she did not call him and wonders who might have called him. Now Ishwarya comes in and tells Ranga that she only called the doctor because some medical camp is being organised in her college and she wanted the doctor to organise a medical team for coming there to treat patients. She says if she had gone to the clinic, the doctor might have demurred saying busy etc and hence she used this technique because she knows that Doctor will not say no to Ranga..Doctor pretends initially to be annoyed at being called like this but eventually he agrees. Ishwarya further says when you bring some doctors, don't bring in oldies like thathachari,rangachari etc and instead
try to bring some young ones so we can have something to look at,she says with a glint in her eye. Now Ranga catches her point and tells about one of his assistants whom they saw when they went to hospital and now the reference comes to Manohar. On hearing Manohar's name, Deepa becomes pale and slowly moves away from the scene.

Uma talking with Kumar. She is on way to office and he says Electricity
bill and other thins have to be paid up and she says she has already kept the cheques for the same. He now tells her about the club subscription of
Rs.40000 to be paid up. She says what u are doing in the club apart from
boozing. He says he is from high status and to show that he has to drink. She says waht u are going to do after drinking—you are going to catch ome one and tempt him about some deals from kadambam food products in return for getting supplies from him at less money and after that those people will call me and harass me. She says you are a spoiled no good person and you have spoiled your daughter also in the same way. What exactly transpired in the abortion matter only you and Mohini only knows,she further says. She now asks can you really work and make just Rs.1000 and show me. Then I will pay your club subscription. He says you are insulting me and for me even 2 lakhs is not a big amount to make.She goes away and Kumar thinks of some way to make some money when he hears call form the door from a hawker selling spinach.He gets an idea and starts picking on her and gets to know how much money she makes daily. He asks her if she has a chance to earn Rs.10000 whether she is willing . She is more than willing considering she is earning only Rs.50 per day. He says he might call in the evening and she has to be ready to do what exactly he is telling.

Ranga and Ishwarya come to Deepa's outhouse. Deepa looks very
disconsolate and Ranga asks her why she left so suddenly from there when we were all discussing.with doctor.Ishwarya does not like Ranga's
kind tone towards Deepa (definitely all of Ranga's childern look very uncultured)and curtly tells her to leave all that and tell only the specific purpose for which they have come to see deepa. Ranga says Ishwarya has to do vocal singing and asks her to train ishwarya. Deepa says she does not know much but on Ranga's insistence she agrees. Ranga tells Ishwarya to thank Deepa which she reluctantly does.

After they leave Deepa silently broods.

May 9, 2006 - Tuesday updt

Nagarajan and Geethu watch as Mohini glides in with bags of bakshanams and fruit, courtesy her mother. Senthil is with her, holding her pallu...
Geethu wants Mohini to take all this stuff to her room and consumed by Mohini. Mohini questions is this because of what her mom told her over the phone that day...Geethu stammers and says it is better Mohini takes it up to her room and Nagu seconds that and says he doesn't want to eat anything bought with her parents' money which is actually intended for their daughter. Mohini tries sweet-talking but of no use. Nagu then drops the bombshell and asks for his passbook. Mohini says why do you need it now and Nagu says, why shouldn't I look at my reserves and is it wrong? Mohini says, nejamaavE vEnumaa and fibs that it is at her work locker. and goes on and asks if FIL needs money and how much? she can get it instantly (probably thinks of doing a sidebar conversation with MIL and uruvurfying her kaadhu thOdu in the process and pledging it with Solai). Nagu says, no he is not in need of money and just wants to look at his passbook. Sendhil gets impatient and tells dad that she will get it tomorrow. As the couple are abt to leave to their room, Nagu again reminds them to take the fruit/snacks sack with them but they dont and Sendhil yells at them to eat it. Geethu feels that they are too harsh on their DIL but Nagu says, this is how we should be and asks her to go give the sack to them, she refuses and he says then let them be here.

This was the comedy track of the day....

Poongodi is day-dreaming and her mom keeps snapping at her to help with the customers -naashta -eating ones in her kaiyEndhi bhavan but Poongodi refuses even to fetch water. One joLLu party who was with Kailash the other day and asked him abt loving Poongodi comes and washes his hands and asks her if it is 'loves' and she nods like an idiot (it is supposed to be a shy nod and for once Poongodi doesn't look like moondraam pirai Sridevi (before treatment) in paavadai sattai but clad in a saree). He asks if she has conveyed it to Kailash and she says no, she is shy. He offers to pen the letter and wants to be excused from paying for naashta all year long as payment. she agrees. Then they show him writing the letter to Kailash...with poongodi just nodding her head and grinning like a monkey for whatever he said. and boy, was it funny..

He asks how to start the letter and she says, write kadavuL thuNai or something to that effect and he says, ok, then what, 'nalam, nalamariya aaval, naan ingu sugam, nee angu sugamaa' sarcastically and she nods eagerly. He says she is writing a love letter and he knows a good opening. He starts the letter with 'ah aah' looking at her yearningly and saying this in a supposedly sultry voice (another sethu in the flesh) and when she snaps back at him, changes it to anbE, aaruyirE.., then e, eee and says ichai eerppavanE..and she glares at him...i thought he was going to recite the whole alphabet (a modern day challenger to avvaiyaar and her aathichudi) but then says, ok, enough of this. then goes on about how he has dreamed of Kailash and leading a life with him. At nights, all she dreams is of marrying him (we dont know if this guy joLLu vittufies after this sridevi or he is behind kailash). UdanE, bharathiraja's dEvadhais in the background singing lalalala...and Poongodi imagines the title scene, (homepage pic)...Then this guy goes on abt day dreams - where Poongodi and Kailash go around town with their brood of 4 kids...(title scene again). all the while, Poongodi proves again and again she is a natural fit for Sridevi...where is Balu Mahendra? he has a readymade actress for MP-2.
The guy promises to deliver the letter.

Deepa is at the temple when outside the little boy who came to Ranga for computer classes help, approaches her and asks her to buy murukku. She recalls him and asks him about his classes. He confesses all and how he got just 500 while the rest was swaahaafied by Pearlman. She takes pity on him and gives him some money and leaves the place thoughtfully.

While at the same temple (i am not so sure abt this - it could be a temple-like setting at Ranga's house), Swathi makes a grand appearance and asks her guru, Deepa to teach her the song. Deepa asks for harmoniom and Swathi says the driver is getting it. Deepa scolds her for letting the driver do this and Swathi asks her to smile a little. after all, she does that and more when deepa is with Ranga. she asks what song is going to be taught and if it is classical like the sankarabaranam - varaguNa ituvanti sEva" i swear she said that when it was ' thorakunaa ittuvanti sEvaa"..probably to show the lack of music knowledge in her. Deepa says even with strenous practice it was a tough feat to achieve in 2 months time and so let us stick to a folk song. (i thought swathi originally asked for this)but now she demurs but Deepa tells her that while the rest of the competitors are going to be singing either film or classical songs, this will be different and will catch everyone's ear. and then starts an actually nice song...instead of a folk song, it sounds like an old ilaiyaraja tuner and if it were me, i would run to the net to browse and see which movie it is from. (but then again even if were a folk song, i would assume it was by one Birdie Mom Muni and search for it.!)
but the song was pretty good and the lyrics were abt Deepa finding her enemies and worrying abt her life. Swathi seems to love it.

Pearlman comes in with Ms.Popeye (spinach lady) to Ranga's office and warns our Olyve Oil that though he is going to ask for 1 lakhs, she will get only her share of 10000 and that she better cry and act well in front of madam; he walks in Ranga's room and tells her the sob story..(ava moonjila 'sucker'nu ezhudhi irukkE). he says this is the spinach lady and her husband has kidney problems and needs daily dialysis and a kidney transplant and so, 1 lakhs. He hands over the said guy's medical file to Ranga and true to her act, the lady cries buckets. Ranga is instantly worried and offers pity and is abt to call for Badri when Deepa comes in with a file to get her signature. Deepa hears abt this story from Ranga and senses Pearlman's yet-another scam and asks Ranga to sign and she will run down to Badri's office and get the money as cash. Pearlman instantly perks up and says, this Deepa is a smart and shrewd girl; she knows that the patient cannot wait for checks to clear and it is better if it was cash; Deepa smiles and walks back to her desk and calls Ranga and tells her to postpone giving money as this was a scam; Ranga hesitates and questions why but Deepa tells her to inform the pair to come tomorrow to get the cash. Ranga says ok and looks up to a waiting duo.

Update for Mon May 15-2006

Scene 1

Recap of previous episode where Manohar sees Deepa from the back and then asks Kailash about Anjali. Now manohar is sitting in Ranga's house and waiting for Swati. He looks very troubled as his mind goes through the incidents at his home abut the strange voices on telephone and other mysterious happenings.Suddenly Karthik wearing a mask barges in and screams at him making Manohar jump in terror. Karthik apologises and Manhohar says he is waiting for Swati.Manohar looking fed up and prepares to leave the place and Swati comes in and Manohar addresses her repeatedly as Anjali and she corrects him every time. Finally she asks him whether he is ok. He says he is ready to come to the function and help out.Suddenly a plate is flung at Manohar and he jumps again. Thatha has flung the plate seeing that instead of cashew nuts he has been served with peanuts and he got wild!
An already jittery Manohar gets more upset and swati apologises to him and takes Thatha to task for behaving like this with a visitor. He does not budge a bit saying who is this visitor –he is a doctor but he himself seems in need of some treatment.Manohar has had too much and he leaves in a hurry knocking his head against the door in the process. When he leaves, Deepa is seen at the door applauding Manohar's discomfiture.(Too much peela obviously!)

Scene 2

Chitra talking with Ranga in the office and says Kumar has gone along with uma for the harvest of pepper crops. She also says her staff told her that Kumar always is asking themn about the various suppliers of kadambam etc.and so you have to keep a guard on Kumar. Ranga says Uma has gone for a business work and will not take her husband. And kumar has not gone with Uma because she spoke to Uma just the pervious day. Chitra says may be Uma is lying..…Now Kala,Deepa and Badri enter and tell Ranga that they have to discuss about the International tender to be submitted. Chitra says she also wants to be part of the discussion but Ranga tells her firmly to go. She goes out but takes a dig at Deepa while leaving. Badri says he has prepared the document and it is seen now by Ranga,Kala,deepa and when everyone says ok, Badri seals the envelope and gives the copies after tearing them to Ranga and says this is to be confidential and no one except us should know about the bid.Now the question came to who will submit the bid—Kala says we can't wait till Uma comes back and we can rather send Deepa (why not Badri?). Ranga is reluctant saying normally Uma only is doing this job and she might get upset if she hears this. But Kala says not much time is there for tender to close and let deepa submit it. Ranga agrees and the envelope is given to Deepa.

Scene 3

Uma comes back home from her trip to the pepper farm and tells Kumar it was a tiring experience but she was satisfied that the pepper harvest got done as expected. Kumar is looking sullen and does not talk to her. She asks whether there is some problem with Mohini or Vijay-- he says it has nothing to do with their children—rather he is angry because of her only. He says during your absence a very important tender was submitted for an international offer and it was submitted by Deepa. he says it is a total insult to you. She says it is not possible, Ranga won't do like that. He says you are always thinking like that because you are only No 3 here and you will never come to the top. Now your focus should be on how to come to No1 because Raanga will never let u come to that place. Now he tells her that he has a deal for getting 7 lakhs if she is able to get the bid papers and give to him. He says it must be available in your computer and so you should be able to give it to me. He again prods her saying that it is your company and you should get it. She thinks about the offer and smiles. (how does Kumar know about the submission by deepa?)

Scene 4

Uma with Kumar in her office and they take a print out of the bid paper and Kumar is ecstatic on seeing the document. He says I will get 7 lakhs after giving this. She says take maximum care because I cannot continue here if this news comes out. Kumar says not to worry,he will take care. As they leave we see Deepa watching the scene . (so again it is a question of deepa seen everywhere)

Scene 5

Kumar with Thangavelu,Das in Soliappan's office and Solai is very happy and he is literally putting the cash on kumar's head who looks overwhelmed on getting so much cash. Solai says if that company is able to get the tender then he will give 3 lakhs rupees more to kumar. Kumar says you are my God and the episode ends.

Update for Mon May 15-2006

Kumar with Thangavelu,Das in Soliappan's office and Solai is very happy and he is literally putting the cash on kumar's head who looks overwhelmed on getting so much cash. Solai says if that company is able to get the tender then he will give 3 lakhs rupees more to kumar. Kumar says you are my God and the episode ends.

May 16, 2006 - Tuesday updt
Deepa waylays Ranga while she is coming in to work and tells her abt Uma giving a copy of their quote to the multi-national company to Muthukumar. Ranga at first refuses to believe it but Deepa says she saw it with her own eyes. Ranga vehemently protests that but then says, even if it was so, my friendship with Uma is such that I will never ask her if she did that. Even if I were to lose this deal and if I have to incur losses, let it be so. My friendship is more valuable to me than money. So saying, the regal queen struts off, leaving Deepa pondering how to change this demented Ranga who everyone is out to swindle.

Idli kadai amma's (IKA) house - Kala and IKA are waiting for Kasi who bikes down there and is being given coffee by a very subdued Poongodi clad in a saree. He guesses that they are abt to ask for hers and Kailash's marriage and asks her to go inside. True to his thinking, Kala broaches the subject and IKA seconds that. Kasi fidgets and tells them yes, he is aware of them holding hands and talking nonsence, but after all, they grew up together in this kuppam and as such are familiar with each other. IKA panics and asks does this mean the marriage will not happen or what and Kasi hastens to tell her that his son feels that Poongodi ought to educate herself more and also, he wants to come up in life and so does not want to be married for the next few years. Kala and IKA panic, the latter to the point of tears and seeing that, Kasi beats a retreat and says no, it is not as if the marriage is not possible at all, it is just that, let Poongodi concentrate on her studies (is the tutor coming by? getting an affirmative answer from IKA) for some time and he will talk to his son. IKA hurries up and says her daughter's future was the main reason she became an IKA and that with her meagre earnings, she has amassed 35 sovereigns (my God, in today's rate, she is a real paNakkaari) now i am sure all those folks who are gold-hungry are going to drop their current jobs and open a road-Ora idli kadai....Kasi fledges, hems and haws some more and says, nadakkum, nadakkum, wait for some time and leaves. Kala tells him that Poongodi loves Kailash and she personally knows how unrequited love can turn a person out to be...and Kasi knows this...

Ranga's residence - Chithra and Bharani are demanding that Ranga take Chitra Cabs under Kadambam umbrella but Ranga says no. Chithra says, isn't he your son and am I not your DIL? at work too, I am not given due respect and nEthu vandhava commands more respect and also, if your son incurs loss, isn't it your duty to get him out of it? Ranga says no, I will not take your business under my wing. This is not my personal company. Hundreds of employees work there and the profit has to be shared among them and not given to cover your losses just because you are family. Chithra starts on her polambal abt no father, no mother, no sothu, but only bhoogambam...and says, let us go out bharani...we will beg in the streets. Now Raatchasan steps in and asks her ot be quiet and commands Ranga to step out of Kadambam and appoint Bharani in her chair as MD. Also, throw out that pichakaara Kala and appoint Chithra in her place. and finally, throw that anaadhai kazhudhai Deepa out...why shd that kutti be given any importance and taken around in Ranga's car and wherever she goes? Ranga is shocked and Bharani is grinning..(goes to prove that this guy is one step away from a loonybin - yaaravadhu ivvaLavu open-aa sandhOshathai exhibit paNNuvaaLA - whereas Chithra is cool as a cucumber and just stands listening - mentally calculating how many more sarees can she buy for her mom, or if Ranga has no use for her own, why not suttufy her collection and give it to her saree-hungry mom)

But Ranga, challenges her dad and stops his tirade and tells him that no, she will not listen to him this time. And no, Kadambam is hers and she has worked her butt of with other people and she will not just step out like that. And no, she will not make Bharani the MD and it is final. So saying, she walks out...and comes near her car. She sees Deepa near the entrance and asks her is she came to see the cricket match. So, come in, let us go watch the match which will be exciting. Deepa is worried and says she has been listening to all that happened and how everyone were angry at Ranga. Ranga laughs and says please give me your hand..Deepa shows her hand out and Ranga doesn't clutch it. She tells Deepa, you can give whatever u want. but it is up to me to take it or not. Inside, this is what happened. They threw angry words at me but I did not pay heed to it. So, why worry and also, I will not give in. My happiness is more important to me that all of them. But, Deepa says, why not help Bharani, your own son? and Ranga asks, who said Bharani is my son?????????

well they dont elobarate on ranga & badri's connection, ranga diverts the topic and then now deepa finds out that uma helped muthukumar give KFProducts tender to another company through solaiappan(ofcourse uma does not know about sollaiappan yet) , who pay muthukumar 7 lakhs, out of which MK gives his daughter mohini 5 laksh,which is being stolen by sollaipan's men, & mohini complains about this to her inlaws , husand and MK, but none of them believe her.

DEEpa informs Ranga about uma's betryal, uma says she values umas friendship so she wont ask uma. In the meantime KFP win the tender offer with walmart. Then ranga offers bonus to the workers, which badri does not agree to, & tells her that ranga always makes hasty decision and that is how she decided that the person who went to foreign will not return(!!!!)

Anyway ranga tells uma about how deepa warned about uma's betrayal and she thinks that uma did this only becaue of her husband MK, so she wants to cut MK off & warn uma. Kala asks ranga not to be hasty and forget about asking uma. Ranga agrees reluctantly. Ranga tells uma about how deepa had warned her & in the last minute Badri & deepa had changed the tender figures and sent a lower quote than what they ahd originally sent, which enabled them to get the tender

sollai is very angry at MK and makes him sign promisary note, as his intention is to get KFP all to himself. For this he tries to break the trio's friendship, or even better first get bharani to his side.

MK is angry & cannot understand how though they stole the tender KFP got the tender. Uma says it is ok, but now she is even more determined to make KFP hers, as this is the first time something has happened without her consent, & also now they have this big business, it will be better to get things into their hands now. Slowly she is proving to be mohini's mom

oh also the doctor, is getting psyched more by the second, and the senior doctor asks manohar to rest as his BP is way too high

Update for Mon May 22-2006

Scene 1

Continuation of the scene in college function. Swati singing in the stage and hearing the familiar song, Manohar thinks it is Anjali on stage. He looks in the front and back and I in a confused state.Deepa also peers in from the back of the stage. Kailash also notes that manohar is in a disturbed state. Now Manohar recollects some past incident--we see Deepa running inside a college building and she is followed by manohar and 2 other guys with manohar shouting "Anjali". Someone closes a shuttered gate in front and deepa looks trapped and the 3 guys close in on her and touch her and now Manohar asks her whether she knows who touched where? Deepa slaps Manohar and with that Manohar's flash back ends and he comes back to reality.He now starts rushing towards the stage saying that is Anjali and so on. Dr.Shivaraman try to restrain him. Finally Shivaraman drags manohar into a car and tells Kailash and others that manohar was sin love with one Anjali in college and later she died and now he is thinking about Anjali's ghost is around.

Scene 2

Senthil in a melancholy mood and listening to a song in the radio "aval varuvala,aval varuvala". Mohini is sleeping inside the room and he tells his mother that Mohiniis talking to him for the past 2 days and she is not coming upstairs to his room. He tells his mother that his was not a love marriage and you people only arrange dthis marriage. Now she has done just a small mistake and father has made it a big thing. His mother says don't worry,everything will be ok, I will talk to mohini. Now geeta goes inside the room and tells mohini to come out of the room. She tells her to forget about the bank passbook matter and she need not worry about that at all.She says we will not ask anything about that and you can go the bank and other places like earlier and we will not ask you anything. Now Senthil's father comes inside the room and apologises to Mohini and asks her to forget everything and please come and speak to Senthil.
Mohini now comes out and with the same song "aval varuvala,aval varuvala".still continuing, she places her hand on Senthil's shoulder who looks back in relief and clasps her hand in his. Mohini gives a triumphant look and pats his head.

Scene 3

Kailash in the street doing some social service work along with some friends. Kala comes there and Kailash meets her with kasi. Kasi says his son wanted to meet her because he wants to find out something about Deepa. Then he further talks about the happenings in the college involving Manohar. Kailash says when Manohar came to Ranga's house the other day, he saw deepa from behind and then came to me and asked about Anjali. Now also Manohar wanted to know how Swati learnt that song,Kailash says. Now Kala recollects that Deepa was afraid of someone when she was in hospital for Indira's injury and may be that person is Manohar. But she tells him that Ranga trusts Deepa very much, in fact more than her family members and hence Kailash should not do anything to make Deepa go away from this place. She again asks him why he is so interested in finding about Deepa. He does not answer properly and Kala says Deepa is not interested in marriage and she tells about Ranga's proposal for Deepa with Karthik. Kala says there is something in Deepa's life which has made her against marriage.

Scene 4

Manohar/Shivaraman come to Ranga's house.Manohar looks very disturbed and looks around ostensibly for Anjali constantly.Thatha speaks to them and tells Manohar that he threw the plate that day for some other reason. Now finding Manohar not responding, he asks Shivaraman what is the matter with manohar. Shivaraman says Manohar is not well and they want to speak to Ranga.Now Deepa is seen outside and Ranga comes and tells her to come and speak to Shivaraman/manohar. Deepa is reluctant and in the meanwhile,Swati comes and says Ranga has told her to thank Shivaraman/Manohar and now she drags her mother inside the room.Ranga and Swati thank Shivaraman/Manohar for the college function and then Manohar asks Swati how he knew about the song. She says it was taught by Dxeepa. Now we see deepa outside the window of their room and listening to the conversation. Ranga turns towards Deepa.

May 23, 2006 - Tuesday updt

The scene flashes back to the last shot where Manohar is asking Swathi who taught her the chingucha song and she responds it is Deepa. Swathi is on a run here and wants to share deepa's virtues - that she is master of all trades and that she works for her mom; Ranga cuts her exhuberance short and asks her to bring coffee for the visiting doctors. Ranga then observes Deepa outside the window, fidgeting and resumes her questions. She asks Mano why he is interested in the song and he says that he knows a girl called Anjali who used to sing this song; The chief doc affirms that and says that Anjali has been dead for some time and Mano is depressed thinking that he is seeing her in everything, everywhere. Ranga says this song was taught by a girl working for her and then Mano asks about the yellow saree of Swathi's and as to who chose it. Ranga protects Deepa and says that it was Ranga herself who chose that saree and accessories. Mano asks how long has Ranga known this Deepa person and does she go by the name Anjali too? Ranga hesitates and says that she has known Deepa for the past 15 years and no, she is no way connected to this anjali, whoever it was. Ranga asks if this is what he came here for and chief doc says yes. Swathi comes in with coffee and asks did mother dear divulge all info needed to the doc abt Deepa and Ranga butts in and asks her to hurry up as it was late for college. Mano and Swathi keep looking at her strangely but she ramrods all. Finally, Deepa moves away from the window, Ranga observes this and the doctors take leave.

Deepa observes their departing car from behind the window of the outhouse and she comes out to see Ranga standing in a determined pose near the vaasal padi. Ranga says, ok, give in, who is this anjali? are you her and what is your connection to that Manohar? even the other day, i saw him getting startled when swathi started singing; Deepa gives a blank stare and Ranga continues, well, did you expect me to ask these above questions? no, i will not though I would like to know more about these. But I trust a friend and will always stand up for her and stand by her. So, whatever your secret is, it is safe with you and I will wait for you to tell me all at your own pace one day, when you are ready. So saying, she trots off. she does look beautiful....and carries off this rich lady character very well.

Chithra is all decked out and standing outside her house and Bharani and Kartik come out and stand near her. She says, what are we going to do for money to wipe out the loss of Chitra cabs? Your mother absolutely refuses to help us and then Kartik says, we have to oust Deepa from here; it is she who is poisoning our mom's mind and she is out to swindle all of us out of her inheritance. So, let us all concentrate on sending her out; also, he tells husband and wife that if you want money, the only way is to steal it. Steal anything and everything from this house and make use of that cash. Kartik leaves and Chithra asks Bharani what should they do about their business. Bharani says no other option but to wind it down, close shop but Chithra says, no we should not, that is the easy way and we have to succeed in business; she says, earlier, your mom used to believe your sob stories and support you financially in the end, but nowadays with Deepa's influence, she refuses. So, Chitra says that she has a plan; She says, let us take one piece of jewellery from the box Thatha showed me and that itself would be sufficient to balance our loss. Bharani says but how will we get it out? Chithra says to leave everything to her and she has the perfect person in mind to lift that nagai off from thatha without pointing a finger at them and has a crafy look, accompanied by a smile.

Kailash is in a shop talking on the phone when he sees Deepa alighting down from an auto. He follows her on foot, playing hide and seek all the way. They painstakingly lead us through 3 or 4 streets and he loses her..For some time, it is only the two of them on the road and it is a wonder she doesn't sense him. He finds a hand at his shoulder, turns back startled and it is vazhisal Poongodi...she goes on questioning him as to what he is doing here, kailaasu this, kailaasu that and he, not to mention us, get really irritated. She says she is happy because she has seen him here, her lover and he changes the subject and asks if she has been studying english studiously. She proudly says she knows her abcds now and wants to recite them!!!! dEvudaa!!!!!!!!!! aaramba paLLi vEra namakku.

He tells her to close her eyes and recite and she does so and he slinks away. She comes to 'L' and says the letter shyly and says, L for love and opens her eyes, finds him gone, gives a tinkle, goes on her merry way.
Meanwhile, Deepa is shown opening a double gate stealthily and entering the premises, leaving the gate wide open. It is Manohar's house and she surreptiously tiptoes in, sees the winding stairs, then starts climbing those..the kitchen is in the third floor..looks like, where she sees Sivadhanu cutting vegetables near the stove. He has his back to her and she looks at him and then up at the remaining stairs. Outside, Kailash gives up his chase, unable to find her.
