"Maan, for the last time, if you can't keep your hands from wandering..."
"Geet, don't be do cruel. The whole point of hiring a limousine was so I could make out with my fiance, instead of having to drive. Come on, Geet, just a little kiss."
"Maan, you were doing a lot more than just kissing."
"Geet, we're engaged! That's what engaged couples are supposed to do."
All throughout the back and forth between Maan and Geet, Maan's hands were trailing up and down her arm, across her back and neck, attempting to reach other places as well. Geet would attempt to move away or block his caresses with her hands, but that had no affect on his behavior. In fact, all of Geet's efforts seemed to only increase her fiance's shameless teasing. Though Maan's mere presence was intoxicating enough that anything else nearly overwhelmed Geet to the point of oblivion, she knew she needed to do something before they both completely lost control.
Pushing him back with all her might, at the same time as she moved backward, she said, "Mr. Maan Singh Khurana, if you don't get control of yourself, I will be forced to request Dadi to start chaperoning us." Seeing Maan about to protest, she firmly declared, "Not just when we go out, but at home too."
Maan couldn't believe that Geet would make such a statement. In a huff he moved away, folding his arms angrily and stating harshly, "Fine! If you don't want me to touch you, then I won't touch you."
Geet couldn't help but give a small smile at his reaction. He looked like a little boy who had his favorite toy taken away due to bad behavior. Rather than admitting his mistake and saying sorry, he declared that he didn't want the toy anymore, even though that was a total lie.
"Maan," Geet said, putting her hand lightly on his arm, "I didn't say I don't want you to touch me. I just want you to exercise some control of yourself until after we are married."
Maan looked into Geet's eyes with a gaze that looked slightly hurt. "Dadi. You threatened me with Dadi! See, this is why I wanted to get married right away. I don't like all this waiting."
"Maan, we already talked about this before. Anyway, it's less than two months to the wedding now. Surely Maan Singh Khurana can control his passions for a measly two months."
Maan was ready to argue his point, but when he saw Geet raise her eyebrows at him, he threw up his hands and said, "Alright, the future Mrs. MSK, you're the boss. Will you tell me just what kind of touches I am allowed to give my fiance?"
Geet gave a large smile, happy that her wishes were being respected. Sliding over next to Maan, she grabbed his hand and slid it around her waist. Leaning her head on his shoulder, she said, "You can hold my waist and hands whenever you want."
"That's it?" asked Maan in pretend shock. "I'm not going to settle for that."
Leaning over so that his face was practically buried in her hair, he stated, "God, you smell so good! Did you put perfume in your hair?"
"Perfume? Don't be stupid, that's my shampoo!"
"Well, whatever it is, it's turning me on," said Maan, as he nuzzled her with his nose, breathing in deeply.
"Hey, stop that shameless talk and keep out of my hair," ordered Geet, pushing his face away slightly. "I don't want to show up at this function all messed up."
"You know," continued Geet, as she grabbed one of Maan's wandering hands and held it tight, "you're becoming very naughty."
"You say that like it's my fault." Maan pulled his hand from Geet's and started tracing her delicate ear with his fingers.
"Of course it's your fault."
"Nope," replied Maan, shaking his head. "Not my fault at all. It's all your fault."
"Oh really. So I make you put your hands on my bare back and slide your fingers up my skirt, it that what you're saying?"
"I'm only human, Geet. What do you expect? If you wear an outfit like this, then naturally I'm going to be tempted."
"So, if I had worn a longer skirt, which would look very out of place, by the way, then you wouldn't be tempted?" Geet looked right into Maan's eyes while asking her question.
She saw a slight twinkle there when he answered, "Well, maybe still tempted, but at least no one else would be able to see your sexy legs."
Geet rolled her eyes, commenting, "Come on, Maan, no one's going to look at my legs."
"Geet, I think that I know a little better than you, what I'm talking about. Trust me. All the men are going to be checking out your legs, and I'm going to feel like killing every single one of them. My only consolation is that no one but me will know what's underneath the jacket."
"Maan! Honestly!" Geet couldn't help blushing, and Maan used that distraction to pull her in for a quick kiss.

Maan and Geet made their way through the Fairmont's lobby, Geet insisted that they take the stairs. Traffic had been a bit bad, causing them to be late. Geet didn't want to wait to take the elevator, especially as their destination was only one floor up. In no time they had reached the State Room where they were greeted cordially and shown to their table. Will and Melanie Jacobsen were already there. Will shook Maan's hand as Melanie and Geet hugged each other.
"Congratulations, Will," said Maan. "This is a good recognition of your talents."
"Thanks, Maan. But I hear that you're the one who deserves congratulations."
Maan looked over at Geet who smiled and blushed at the public acknowledgement of their new relationship. As the time for the function to start neared quickly, they all took their seats, Melanie asking Geet quietly about the wedding plans. Geet and Maan were sitting next to each other, and just as everyone settled, Maan grabbed Geet's hand, lacing his fingers through hers.
Geet knew that she should be paying attention to the speaker. After all, they were recognizing Will Jacobsen with an award for his contribution to the Chicago finance industry, and the Jacobsens had become good friends. But, as soon as Maan touched her hand, all her attention centered solely on him. She felt such a pull towards him, that she just couldn't help it.
Even though she had been very strict about his behavior in the car, it was hard not to admit that she wanted that physical connection just as much as he did. Geet felt that the only hope for her tonight was the indulgence that people would show towards a newly engaged couple. Otherwise she would definitely be making a fool of herself. How could she help but do so when she loved him so much.
May 11, 2011 10:30 pm
"Geet, I'm so glad that you and Maan were able to join us tonight."
"It was our pleasure Melanie. But, as lovely as the dinner and dancing were, we both really need to be leaving now."
"I know, it is quite late for a school night. Even we will have to go home soon."
"Are you ready?" asked Maan as Geet walked up to him. She nodded and as they exited the State Room, Maan drew her left arm through his right, allowing her engagement ring to be prominently on display.
Maan saw her looking at it and asked, "Does it make me very chauvinistic that I feel immense pleasure that everyone can see by that ring that you belong to me?"
Geet smiled indulgently at that question, answering, "No. A little possessive maybe, but I don't mind."
Her smile grew brighter as she said, "You know, when we were invited to the charity auction, Di was telling me that I had to have my arm linked through yours, and I felt so uncomfortable about that. It just felt wrong when we were only pretending."
As they began to ascend the stairs, Geet moved closer to Maan. "I'm glad that I can truly be in your arms now, with no pretense existing between us."
Maan pulled her closer, a smile coming on his face as well. He seemed to be about to say something, but suddenly changed his mind. Pulling back a ways, and with a frown he said, "In my arms. How have you been in my arms? Lately it seems like I never even get a chance to see you, let alone have you in my arms. Whenever I want to be alone with you, it's always, 'Maan, get back to work,' or 'Maan, this isn't the time.' Tonight is the first night in I don't know how long we actually spent any time together. It's like you don't want to be around me at all."
"Maan," exclaimed an exasperated Geet, "you were the one who said that you would have to get a lot of work done if we wanted to have a few weeks off for a honeymoon. You working so much was your own idea. I was just being a dutiful fiance and reminding you. But hey, if you don't want to go on a honeymoon, then..."
"Honeymoon? You're already talking about a honeymoon? Well, I guess I can see the evidence of why right there, can't I?"
Maan and Geet had been in their own world, until the unwelcome female voice intruded. Before he even turned to look at the speaker, Maan's posture became rigid at the horribly familiar tones. Geet also recognized the speaker and immediately brought her right hand to rest on Maan's arm in an almost protective gesture.
As they both turned to eye the woman who addressed them, she continued, looking solely at Geet. "I have to hand it to you, honey. I didn't think that any woman would be able to get the great Maan Singh Khurana shackled to her, but it looks like you were successful."
"Sameera," replied Maan in a deadly tone, "if you utter one more word to Geet..."
"I know, I know. You'll have me arrested for violating that stupid restraining order. Yes, yes, your lawyer came and explained everything so beautifully for me."
The mocking tone Sameera used enraged Maan to the point where he would happily have strangled her if Geet hadn't been holding tightly on to him. It was clear that she and the man she was with were drunk, or high or something. Geet didn't want Maan creating a scene by confronting them, especially in such a high class hotel as the Fairmont.
Sameera seemed to have some sense of preservation, for she pulled on the arm of her male companion, saying, "Come on Harry. Let's go to our room. It's much too crowded here."
The couple made their way towards the elevators, but Maan was hurriedly ushering Geet out of the hotel, and could have cared less about where Sameera was going. All he could think of was to get Geet away from her. They met up with the limousine, where Maan gently, but quickly put Geet inside. In less than a minute they were on their way back home.
"Maan," said Geet tentatively, not really sure what to say.
"You know, I honestly feel sometimes that I could kill that woman. How DARE she say anything to you!"
"Maan, please. Calm down." Geet placed her hand on his shoulder, trying to convey with her touch what words could not.
Maan continued his rant, seemingly oblivious of her words. "I should have known better. I should have known that she wouldn't leave us alone. Well, I'm not going to let her get away. I'm not..."
During his ranting, Maan glance toward Geet and the look in her eyes stopped him. He instantly grabbed her hand and gave his reassurance. "Geet, you know that Sameera means nothing to me. I don't give a damn about her, you know that right? It's just that I can't stand the thought of anything harming you."
"Maan, nothing will harm me. Don't worry so much. Please, just forget about everything and be calm."
"Geet, I can't do that. I don't trust that woman. She's threatened you, and I don't like how she always seems to show up where we are. I don't believe in coincidences."
"Maan, she hasn't actually done anything to me, other than say a few unpleasant words. I honestly don't think that she knew we would be at the Fairmont tonight. It was just a one time situation. And, really, she doesn't always show up where we are. Since we started dating in truth, we been out in public together a lot and nothing has happened. Please, just put the incident from your mind."
Geet could tell from the look on Maan's face that he wasn't inclined to do as she suggested. Hoping to distract him, she wound her arms around his waist and leaned in to kiss him. It didn't have quite the same effect as their usual kisses, as Maan was still too preoccupied to participate fully. However, Geet had definitely succeeded in pulling his attention away from Sameera and on to her.
"You're trying to distract me with this little act of yours, aren't you?" he asked in mock anger.
"No, I just thought that since we were going home, it would be alright if my hair got a little messy on the way back."
Geet changed her position slightly so that her face rested in the crook of his neck. She pressed soft kisses on his jawline, loving the rough feel of his stubble on her soft lips. She could feel Maan's breathing increase, yet he made no move to join in her romantic efforts.
Finally, Geet sighed, resting her head on his shoulder and confirming, "Yes, I am trying to distract you. Is it working?"
Maan lifted Geet's face to his with a finger. "I'll let you know," he answered, before pulling her face towards his and sealing her mouth tightly with his own.
Geet's outfit.
I was also planning on having another update posted also, but I'm not feeling well, so I couldn't get it finished. I will work on it when I feel better. I don't know when that will be, but if it takes me a while, then you will probably get quite a few updates together, as I will want to keep up to date with the time line. Oh, and pms will have to wait until I feel better also, as it does take quite a lot of time to get through them all and I really need to rest instead of spending too much time of IF😔
