Weddings In The Air

First it was the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton that had us all in a wedding craze. Now the girls of Chicago will have to mend their broken hearts, as rumor has it that Maan Singh Khurana, investment genius, and self made multi-millionaire is engaged to be married himself. Gossip says that Chicago's most eligible bachelor proposed to his girlfriend, Ms. Geet Handa within the last week. Not much is known about the couple's relationship, or how long they have been together. The relationship was made public during a Chicago socialite's Christmas Eve party, when Khurana's ex, Sameera Kapoor who has recently been linked with another Chicago businessman, created a scene.

Since that time, the couple as been seen occasionally in public, but mostly seem to keep to themselves. As much as the relationship is a mystery, so too is the to-be bride. Not much is known about Ms. Handa except that she is a family friend and currently works in her fiance's investment company. The future Mrs. Khurana gives the impression of being a mature young woman who prefers to stay out of the limelight.

According to friends, the family is very excited about the wedding. Says one friend, "Savitri Khurana was over the moon when she told me about the engagement. She has been waiting for her eldest grandson to be married for sometime now, so this news is extremely exciting."

Sources tell us that the wedding is planned for sometime in July. One can only assume that having decided to marry, the bride and groom don't want to waste any time. The question that remains is whether Chicago's own version of royalty will have as big a wedding as the British Royals, or will they keep it a more private affair?

The Sun Times is a real newspaper in Chicago, but as I don't know anything about it, and I didn't want to use any real writer's names, I created a fake person. If you look at the name Ima D. Eitup you will notice that it is actually the words I MADE IT UP, but put together so that it sort of makes a name. Also, the picture of Geet and Maan came from the launch party, which you may have guessed, and the picture of Sameera is from Mouni Roy's gallery. Maybe you remember that once upon a time she was supposed to play Sameera in the show.

Someone asked me a while back about Geet's birthday cake and if it was real or not. Well, just like the pictures for this updates "article" are pictures that I have used and then changed by adding effects and text, so was the cake picture. It was a cake pic that I found on the internet and I added the happy birthday etc. using Photoshop. I also altered the pictures for this update to make them look like they are in a newspaper.
