Ram met Seeta in the forest after Luv and Kush caught the horse of his Ashwamedha yagna. He met her in the forest. Valmiki asked Ram whether he would take her back and Ram says that he had sent her off once with a reason and so couldn't take her back. That's when Seeta says that when she was sent away for the from Ayodhya, she didn't give up her life because she was pregnant. Now that her sons were grown up and had met their father, she had nothing else to live for. She calls upon Mother Earth to take her in.

it's also heard that UttarKand that is found in Valmiki Ramayan was not actually written by Valmiki, it was added in the next era by someone else, & now it become an inseparable part of Valmiki's scripture!

Is that true?😲 I always wondered why Valmiki's Uttar Kand differed from every other Uttar Kand which had the Luv Kush vs. Ayodhya battles. I also don't personally prefer VR's UK, because it doesn't say much about Sita or Luv Kush.

Valmiki Ramayan has a totally different account of Uttar Kand than what RS and AS Ramayan showed, but even in VR I think Sita returns to Ayodhya. I've read a few versions where she leaves Earth in the forests, but I don't think that's what is written in VR.

Nope, we discussed this in RF. In VR, Rama held his yagna in Naimisaranya, which is in today's Sitapur district in UP. Sita never returned to Ayodhya.

Both the serials, otoh, had the yagna going on in Ayodhya.
