As promised!

I am moving the story forward..so bear with me and as usual comment/criticize 😳

Warning: This chapter is VERY sad 😆 Read at your own risk!

Chapter 41

It has been three freaking days since Geet spoke to me....(he bangs his hand on the table with anger and frustration) I just wanted her to be happy...I thought by doing what i did will give both an opportunity to know what happened and amend their relationships...I never intended to hurt Geet at all...(he runs his hand through his hair) but I knew that it was necessary to know the reason why her father left her...she didn't even give me a chance to explain myself...how can she despise me? I love her...I just couldn't see her mad and sad...I wanted her a chance to have her own happy family just like I have...if I knew that it would make her this upset I would never have done this...what do I do? Whenever I go to the outhouse she would run up to her room and lock the door...I would stay outside the door for hours and hours hoping that she would let me explain...let me talk to her..let me see her...I know that she is standing against the wall trying to suppress her tears...she can't even hide her tears behind door from me...she would only speak to everyone in the house EXCEPT to me...(punches the wall in anger..causing his hand to bleed) I can't stand this anymore...I can't live without her either...this marriage...our future is everything to me now...I won't let Geet go away this easily...I knew it was destiny for DelhiShark to meet NyQueen and faith to be with one another...she is my soul mate...I won't give up on you Geet..no matter what...

Flashback:
Everyone was sitting in the dinner room table after the function eating and talking about Geet's dance...Maan who was quietly sitting there distant from everyone...Geet looks at Maan worried and bit scared as to where he was for a week...she knew that even anyone from the house knew where he went including Dadima...but being Maan Singh Khurana no one bothered to ask him either assuming he went for a business trip..but Geet knew by looking at his face that it wasn't about a business trip...she wanted to ask Maan but not in front of everyone...she didn't want them to get suspicious...she waited till this dinner was over so that she can ask him once they are all alone...she quickly focuses her attention back to Arjun and everyone else...smiling half heartedly...soon the dinner came to an end...Geet was very anxious to talk to Maan alone..she was about to ask him when Nakul comes...

Nakul: Maan Sir...

Maan (looks at Nakul...): Yes...

Nakul: Aapke guest aah gaye hai

Maan: hmm ok send him in...(Nakul leaves)

Dadima: Maan are we expecting some company? You should've told me before..we could've invited them for dinner

Maan: ohh umm I invited him after dinner on purpose...he just came to say hi..

Dadima: Ohh who is he?

Maan: they are the people that I went to visit and stayed with for a week...(looks at Geet..who was confused)

Dadima: ohh then we all would love to meet them...(Nakul brings the guests in...Geet gets up and sees a old guy entering the house)

Maan (goes up to greet them): Thank you for coming...I would like to introduce you to my family...(one by one Maan introduces everyone except for Geet...she stood there waiting for Maan...she looks at the guy who was looking at her but removes his gaze as soon as Geet looks at him..)

Dadima: Very nice to meet you...thank you for having Maan stay with you for a week...how do you know Maan?

Maan (jumps in before the guy could answer): umm I know them they had helped me during my trip and offered me to stay at their house...the family is really nice and caring

Dadima: ohh ok...well we will leave you alone...(to the guy) we would love to have you and your family attend my grandson's wedding...

Guy: Thank you...we would love to come...(Everyone leaves leaving Geet and Maan with new people...)

Maan: Geet I would like you to meet Mr. Gill...(Geet smiles and says namaste...she looks at Maan and the Mr.Gill who had his head down..while Maan hesitated to speak after)

Mr. Gill: Namaste beti...

Geet: Please sit down..

Maan: Geet that is what I wanted to tell you...I was staying with Mr. Gill's family for the whole week...

Geet; Yeah that is fine...why didn't you tell me where you were...

Maan: Geet that is because ummm he is...your...

Mr. Gill: umm Maan let me say it...(Geet looks at both confusion and getting scared and worried every minute)

Geet: Maan what is going on...you are scaring me...

Mr. Gill: Beti (Geet looks at him): What Maan beta is trying to say is that...umm...I...am your father...(Geet looks at him shocked...she doesn't move or speak..tears escape from her eyes...she quietly stands up from the sofa...Maan holds Geet's hand..she snatches her hand away)

Maan: Geet please listen to me...I want to explain why I did this

Gill: Beti please listen

Geet (turns around): don't call me that...you lost that chance when you left us (he puts his head down)

Maan: Geet

Geet: Maan I didn't expect this from you (runs from there...crying...)

Gill: I should leave...

End Flashback!

He comes out of his room with new found confidence and goes toward the outhouse...he didn't even realize that his hand is bleeding...leaving a blood trail as he walks...he goes to the outhouse and stops at the door...hesitant to go in...he opens the door little bit and peaks his head in...he sees Geet talking to Arjun...she was smiling..but Maan knew behind that smile was sadness...he could tell that Arjun is trying to keep her happy...Maan becomes sad...knowing that he couldn't do one thing right..he wanted Geet to be happy too...he slowly walks in without interrupting them...he just stood there watching Geet smiling and talking...it seemed like forever since he properly saw her...he wanted to hug her so badly and hold her until time stands still...he just stood there observing...Geet was talking to Arjun when she spots Maan...she stopped smiling...Arjun turns around and looks at Maan...Geet gets up and runs up stairs...Maan runs behind her knowing what she is going to do...he grabs her wrist in the middle of the stairway...

Maan: Geet please listen to me

Geet (tries to remove her hand from his hold): Please Maan leave me alone right now

Maan: At least talk to me...

Geet: no...let go of my hand...

Maan: No! (he shouts) I won't let go until you talk to me...I had enough...give me a chance at least...
Arjun (speaks from behind): Geet

Geet (to Arjun): Arjun please...I will not talk...I just want to be left alone..(looks at Maan...Arjun quietly leaves knowing they need to talk among themselves...) Maan for the last time leave my hand (Maan slowly leaves her hand...she looks back at Maan and goes up to her room...Maan comes behind and knocks on her door)

Maan: Geet please...I never wanted to hurt you...I just wanted you to be happy and have a family that you craved for...(Geet quietly listens while crying) I know I shouldn't have brought your dad here..but I couldn't help it Geet..I couldn't stand to know how sad you are..you miss your mom so much and you wishes your dad was here as well..it just breaks my heart knowing how much you wanted him...I know you consider us as your family but I also know how much you wished you still had your dad or any siblings with you as well...I just couldn't stand it Geet...I wanted you to have what I have...nothing else...please give me a chance and if you can give him a chance to explain of what he did...please Geet talk to me...hit me..do whatever you want to punish me but please Geet don't run away from me like this...I don't know what I would do without you...

You have hurt me Maan (Geet thought) I never thought you would bring the person that I despised the most in front of me...I thought you understood me...I am happy with you only...I don't need anyone else in my life...I don't need a father or any siblings...I only need you (she cries) What hurt me the most was that you stayed at his house for a whole week...how can you stay with that person knowing how much he has hurt me and my mother? I can't see you right now...whenever I see your face it makes me mad to even look at you knowing what you did...I don't want to hate you Maan so it is better if I stay away from you...I will never forgive him...(She puts her hand against the door..as she listens to Maan and cries..then the pounding, the knocking everything went quiet all around her..she puts her ears against the door...she jumps when she hears a loud breaking sound...

Maan: Fine Geet...I will leave you alone...I will not bother you...am sorry (he gets angry and leaves...after few seconds...Geet opens her room door after making sure Maan left...she sees the mess on the floor...she was walking down the stairs when something caught her eyes...she bends down and touches it... "blood?" she asks herself confused...she panics and runs out of the outhouse and after Maan...

I know Geet just like always you will open the door after I leave...I also know that after you see my blood you will come running after me (he looks at his hand...) No matter how mad you are...you cannot stand me being hurt...I am sorry but I had no other choice but to have you come after me...(he looks at his hand filled with blood) this pain is nothing compared to what I have caused you...I had no other choice...please forgive me...(Maan kept on walking toward the mansion slow...he heard Geet yelling his name behind him...he smiled...) I knew it Geet..you would come...(Maan stops and turns around...he looks at Geet coming toward him...he smiles and waits for her to come...but then something happend that he didn't expect...he felt a sting on his right cheek...he looks at her angry face...he touches his face..)

Maan: You slapped me? (baffeld and surprised at this total unexpected turn of events)

Geet: How dare you! (She shouts and slaps him again...) How dare you! You had no right to do this...

Maan (looks at her): Geet please understand the meaning behind my action...just listen to me at least once

Geet she takes her dupatta and tears it...she takes Maan's hand and ties the dupatta around his wound..Maan looks at her with love and care...after tying the dupatta Geet runs around to leave once again...Maan quickly holds her hand and pulls her toward her...

Maan: Geet why are you doing this?

Geet (shoves his hand): Maan I don't want to talk about anything..I just want to stay by myself for a while

Maan: for how long will you avoid this topic...the truth had to come out sooner or later

Geet: NO! this situation wouldn't have come out at all if you hadn't decided to bring that person in front of me...I was happy the way I was...I was happy to be living by myself in New York...I was living the life how I wanted to..then you came into my life..and changed everything..I embraced the change with open arms..I was willing to even leave my home, my job, my memories..EVERYTHING behind just for YOU...I trusted you Maan!! I shared my past, my feelings and what did you do in return Maan? You RUINED everything..you broke my trust...my faith... (she holds his collar) I DON'T need that person..I ONLY need YOU... (she lets go of the collar and walks back a little) Now I think it wouldn't been better if DelhiShark and NyQueen never came face to face...at least I would've saved myself from this hurt and pain...

Maan (looks at her hurt) Geet...(he whispers) Don't say that...I love you...I just wanted your happiness...I thought

Geet: That is the problem Maan..you didn't thought about where my happiness lies...

Maan: That is not true (With tears in his eyes)

Geet: It is true..if you did..then you would've found your answer...

Maan (comes closer to her): please listen to me..all I wanted was to give you a chance to fill that missing gap that you have been yearning for all your life...the gap that increased in time as you grew older...(he holds her by the shoulder) How long will you avoid that gap Geet? How long? You need him Geet however much you deny it...I know what he did was wrong...I know that...but don't he deserve to know explain his reasoning as well? (she looks the other way trying to stop her tears...Maan lets go of her) Maybe after knowing the reason at least it would give your mom some peace...(it starts to rain) Look Geet even your mom is crying...if not for yourself Geet..then for your mom...don't you think SHE deserves to know why your dad left her? All her life your mom wondered day and night...tried to come up with some suitable reason for his disappearance, now YOU have that chance Geet..you have a change to put your mom at peace...At least once Geet...for your mom give him a chance to explain...(Geet starts to go back to her outhouse...she saw Cookie looking at her...Geet bends down and hugs her while crying...she quietly goes back the outhouse with Cookie...Maan looks at all this...he turns around to find everyone looking at him with tears...Vicky puts a hand on his shoulder..)

Vicky: Give her some time to process this..everything happened so quickly to her...she will understand later

Maan: I just wanted her to be happy...

Vicky: WE know...we all know...and somewhere Geet knows too but the hatred and pain she is feeling right now is much greater...she is unable to understand anything at this time..

Dadima: Maan beta Vicky is right...she will understand eventually...come let's go inside before you catch a cold

Maan: I can't Dadima...I can't rest or do anything..knowing Geet is there in pain

Dadima: Would you rather be happy if Geet saw you sick and see you in pain? (she holds his hand..and drags him inside..) let's go..everything will be alright...Geet will come back to her original self...

Maan: I hope so Dadima...(everyone goes inside the mansion...Maan looks over his shoulder toward the outside once again hoping to look at Geet...)

nice to have you back Simi...

and indeed the update was very sad...i can understand that Geet is hurt but Maan needs to give her some time to let her father in...she did spend her own life hating him...

But the update was very very well-written...u emoted both Maan and Geet's agony so well...i could feel their pain...

can't wait for the next one...i know she will speak to her father soon...i wanna hear what he has to say for himself...

Thankyou for an amazing update, ofcourse it was sad...but very thoughtful and well written. loved maan's care and concern to try to get geet talk to her dad. and geet's anger is well justified. hope the serious clouds move off sooner.
