Spellbound and Walkwater Productions' Rishton Se Badi Pratha on Colors may be the next to be axed by the channel. This news comes soon after its leads Parul Chauhan and Vishal Karwal put in their papers sometime back last month.
A source says, "The show's TRPs have not been improving. In fact after the show's timing was changed from 7:30 pm to 7 pm to accomodate Sunrise Productions' Sasural Simar Ka the ratings fell from 1.4 to 0.8. Hence, the channel is planning to pull it off-air."
Yet another source informs, "Pratha has already got a two months notice from the channel 15 days ago and most likely Neela Telifilms Hamari Saas Leela will be replacing this show. But, before Pratha goes off-air its time slot may be changed once again."
However producer Pearl Grey says, "We had a meeting with the channel yesterday and we have been asked to push harder but the show is definitely not going off-air. At present we are looking forward to re-launching the show as there will be a leap soon."
She also confirmed that Vishal and Parul have backed out of the show due to issues related to the leap, "They weren't very comfortable playing parents post the leap but this is what the original story line was from day one. However we can't do much about it for I do not believe in making anybody work forcefully. But, we are definitely not very happy with their turn around." About yet another time slot shift she says, "We have just got a shift and I have no idea if there is yet another shift coming."
