Dear Ashvini,
When Colors was launched couple of years back, with shows like Balika Vadu etc, the channel dethroned top players like Zee and Star Plus ...If I am not mistaken, a few months earlier to Color's launch NDTV Imagine was also launched and it did not have the same impact which Colors had...people were going ga ga over the new styling of the serials...I did not see your shows then but yes knew with cutting edge shows and programming you managed to position Colors on top three channels of national television of India. Lagi Tujshe Lagan happened to me suddenly, sitting in a hotel room, I just was mesmerised by Mishal Raheja so on my return I subscribed for Colors finally..my bad luck it was too late...from the time I started watching the show things were going downhill but having read so much about you, I thought you will do something about it...I am sorry to say I was wrong...it happened to LTL just like it happens to any other serial, you were not different as they claimed in various reports I got to read.
Ashvini I am not unhappy because Mishal left. Personally I think he did the right thing, for an actor of his calibre it is sad to see something going down when you have worked so hard and upheld it for such a long time...with weird storyline it is hard to keep yourself motivated...thankfully after Mishal left I too did not watch the show but in this forum seeing how things are, I am glad I left it...
I know you survive on TRPs which does not guarantee the quality of your programming at times, even good films get bombed but that does not mean good films don't happen and people do not speak about it. Inspite of everything good shows, do get talked about...I am now watching 'Chandragupt Maurya' in Imagine...being a history freak I am loving it, of course it has been spiced up, there are bloopers, no heroines as of now nevertheless it is good...even I read a report it is the highest watched weekend show, IPL fever has not affected its ratings but then you must be knowing about it being in the business...
All I wanted to say Ashvini, to be able to create a 'dhamaka' is great but to sustain it is even greater...yes I am disappointed with you and Colors too!!
+++++++++
Dear Paresh Sir,
I respect you as an actor. You were impecable as Babu Rao, Tammana and as Hashmat Ullah. When I saw you were the Producer of Lagi Tujhse Lagan, I was happy to note it...no wonder a different show from a wonderful actor!
Sir, I am now disappointed...very disappointed...with the show of course and with you too for remaining associated with such a show...it should have been finished and done with as long as it could hold its uniqueness instead it has just become another run of the mill show..We know to expect such kind of outcome from other shows but when I saw your name in the producers list I thought o.k here is a man who will know what it is like to work in a good story, with a good cast. He will know what keeps the actors going and motivated. You have strived a hard way to shape your career as to what it is now so you will appreciate and know what is good and interesting.. it is expected you can feel for the actors in the show...I am not unhappy because Mishal left...for he has done his bit but was it necessary to stretch the story like an elastic band unnecessarily? The reputation you have earned is through sheer hard work...is it necessary to put it down in the gutters just because some channel is trying to arm twist you to do so...I am sure Paresh Sir, you are in a position to call it quits. If you say you do not know what is happening with your production house, then Sir, let me advise you to withdraw your name from the Producers' list for it is too precious to be run down in this manner...
Please Sir for heaven's sake do something about it...let us hold atleast some good memories of LTL.
With best wishes,
Yours sincerely,
Jayati Das Gupta (Tintiny)

Hi Jayati,

Both the letters are very professionally written and is a true reflection of our grievances. Is it possible to e-mailed the same to Ms. Ashwini and Mr. Paresh Pawal?

My suggestion would be: Please Do

It is very polite but at the same time gets the message across.

We are not bashing anyone here. We are providing feedback and expressing disappointment as loyal and concerned viewers.

Further, we have nothing to lose.

Very well written Jayati... n much required too... after all we have invested so much time and emotions on the show

would jus like to tell Pareshji... U had a unique show which I think has been ruined on purpose.. purely my POV...
Jus feel like informing... I normally visit Home for the Aged n today was suprised that even they like Mishal ... n they did discuss Dutta bhau and Naku's love story... the discussion started while the whole group were watching the Kate and William's wedding- re runs that were being shown on the TV today... n they compared it to Cindrella and LTL... it was such an emotional discussion going as they discussed Dutta's akdu nature n many scenes some which i myself din remember... they even praised the actors for doing a good job... they even discussed the Dutta throwing the plate in the kitchen and the scene Naku n Dutta on the breakfast table ...
They were discussing about how Dutta has vanished n stated "aise kaise dikha diya.. gaadi mein baith kar chala gaya... abhi toh usse Bhagwan pe bharosa bhi hone laga"... they are all hoping that Dutta will come and take care of Naku... I jus din have the heart to tell them that Mishal is not going to return to the show...
So guys its not we 200internet audience liking the show... its the audience at large who like love stories (read Kate and Williams wedding) n who yearn for happy ending...
Pareshji.. i am sure, even u like love stories n wd want them to end happily... so Y din u put ur foot down n command the channel to give the best to the audience... From January we are requesting u to end the show even if the actor was going to leave ( which was not true)... If possible please inform us who has gained or profited from the new story...
Least said the better for Ashwinji... for her whether LTL succeeds or not was never her concern... our charts on LTL promotion clearly reflects the treatment given to LTL...
