Earlier in the week, when Ishaan and Papa went to collect the biopsy reports, waiting for the result was nerve-wracking. I couldn't sit still for a minute and all I could think of was about the reports. Horrible thoughts and pictures kept bombarding in my brain. I didn't find peace at all, no matter how much I tried to distract myself. Later, when I learnt that the doctor would give the reports in the evening, I had had enough of being on pins and needles. I decided to go fetch the reports myself.
I am glad I did, as Ishaan couldn't reach the hospital in time due to traffic, while Papa and Ilesh, who were at the hospital, got stuck in the men's room. Meeting the doctor and hearing from him about my condition - benign tumor - and not cancer was a major relief.
I want to thank all the fans and well-wishers for their affection, encouragement and prayers for my health and recovery. I have read myriad number of mails and letters from all of you and they have always made me feel better. I have to admit, it has been overwhelming for me to feel the love and support of the loyal audiences. In my moment of darkness, the good wishes of the viewers kept me going. I got strength from all you people out there, who wanted me to get better and healthier. I thank all my fans, readers for their prayers and I am supremely relieved to learn that I don't have cancer. You all cheered me to keep going and never lose faith in God and that he would not be so cruel to do any injustice to me. Today, thanks to God and all you wonderful people I am fine. Now though I am a bit worried about the operation for my tumour, all my fears have been laid to rest. The lesson I have learnt from this whole episode in life is to have faith and keep trying to do your best in life. The rest will fall into place.
The day we learnt the results of the report, the family was overjoyed. I had a wonderful time with them playing dumb charades and re-capturing the fun and laughter our family is known for. Later Inder bhaiya, Ishaan and Ilesh taunted us and said blood was thicker than water and the three brothers were bonded for life. They added, unlike Disha didi, Rajni didi and me who were sister-in-law so our bond wasn't up to par with theirs. OMG, how could they belittle our bond and call their bond superior. We decided to teach them a lesson and over a bowl of rasmalai and a razor the strength of their bond was tested. Well I have to say it didn't last long. The trio was fighting within no time. Disha didi, Rajni didi and I had a good laugh at their expense. But all in all, we had a great time as a family and after a long time we were all able to share a laugh without having any nagging thoughts at the back of our minds.
