Sasural Genda Phool completed 300 episodes. How do you look back on the experience of doing this popular show? I am glad that audiences have loved this light hearted show which highlights the importance of joint family and other moral values. I want the show to reach 1000 episodes and want it to be the No. 1 show. The show has become really popular and I think the realistic treatment is what has touched a chord with the audiences. | |||

You make playing Rajni bhabhi seem so easy. Rajni is a very simple person. She is relatable too. She is set in her life after 7-8 years of marriage, responsible bahu who has retained a child like quality. It is wonderful playing the character of Rajni bhabhi which had shades of happiness as well as some intense scenes too. |
What do you enjoy most about Sasural Genda Phool? The off-screen fun. We have several special moments while shooting. We are all like a family so we make fun of each other, pull pranks, etc. There are no egos or tantrums. The cast, the script, the dialogues and the director Rakesh are all in tandem. I guess because we do so much masti on the sets, the chemistry flows on screen too. |
Which has been your most satisfying performance? Astitva was a role that is closest to my heart. Playing Urmila Manas' ex wife gave me ample opportunity to portray various shades from a guilty woman who has an extra martial affair to a grey shade to a positive woman. |
We heard you are turning producer and will soon make a television serial. I am not comfortable talking about it yet. when the right time comes I will be happy to give details. |
You seem to prefer being low profile. Yes I do. I enjoy being with my friends and family, going out with them and spending time with them post pack up. I don't like socializing for the heck of it or being the media to be in the news. That is not me. I like working and keeping to myself. | |||
