| Actress Dolly Bindra has alleged that Raja Chaudhary, husband of Shweta Tiwari (Prerna of Kasautii Zindagi Kay), "outraged her modesty".
In an FIR filed at the Juhu Scheme police station on Sunday, the starlet accused Chaudhary of violent conduct and misbehaviour.
"I am deeply hurt and shocked by what he did. He can't behave like this with a woman. I was completely taken aback... how could he do this?" exclaims Bindra. Here's what happened...
The incident occurred in the wee hours of Sunday at a party thrown by Anuj Saxena (Kkusum's Abhay) at Rock Bottom, Juhu, to launch his production house Maverick Productions. It is learnt that Chaudhary, who was drunk, first made verbal advances towards Bindra, then threw himself physically on her.
Chaudhary was not invited to the party — he came with former Kkusum director Himanshu Kausal.
"I barely know Raja Chaudhary," says Bindra. "I met him only once when he came to my house last year to collect the fees on behalf of Shweta, who was performing in a show in Maldives that was organised by us." Raja slapped me

As the place was dimly lit, I did not recognise who it was; I thought it was only someone passing by. Then the man came again and fell over me. I pushed him away, but, to my horror, he slapped me.
I fell on the floor in pain. I was totally shaken. Then I was told that the man was Raja Chaudhary. I was helped out of the place into the hotel lobby and realised that Raja had physically hurt me. I had bruises on my hands. I wept openly in the lobby.

The next morning, Bindra tried to get in touch with Tiwari (see box). "My husband was on the other side of the dance floor, otherwise he would have created a scene with Raja that very moment. But we decided that it was better to report the incident to the police."
Bindra filed an FIR against Chaudhary at the Juhu Scheme police station. "When the cops summoned him, Raja arrived at the police station and pleaded innocence.
He told me to withdraw the case and even offered money," says Bindra. "Raja had to spend the night in jail and was produced before the court on Monday," she claims. Dolly is wicked
When asked about the incident, Himanshu Kausal said Chaudhary was with him at the party that evening. "I told him to be my guest and come with me for Anuj's party. Everything has been sorted out between Dolly and Raja. Dolly has taken back the complaint," he said.
And Chaudhary's version? "Dolly is behaving like a wicked lady. She was under the influence of alcohol. It was all her fault. She's made a mistake," he says. shaheen@mid-day.com |
