Sorry for keeping few poeple waiting...Hope this nice part makes up for it. i was going to ud tom morn. but my friend made me mad and well i just didnt want to type and take the anger out on my lovely readers. that wouldnt have been fair to you all to read a sad ud since i would have made it all diff... so if you are mad at me for late ud, then blame him not me...😆 as always, i have replied to all the comments. if you asked a q. or doubt or special request, do go back and read my reply...

Chapter 6

USA

Maan waited for a long time and after refreshing for what seemed to be 50^th time for him in last few minutes, he received her message. After reading it, a smile spread across his face. He had expected her to say that only. He knew no one would want to trust a complete stranger. But he wondered what had happened in her life. What was the reason behind her having to think twice before making any friends? He replied saying: 'I will wait for your friendship. Even if you decline, then just know it was great talking to you and I never felt this better in life. Ever.' and signed out since he knew she would have gone to sleep by now.

He got up, closed the window and started working on getting the arrangements done.

It was 9 o'clock in the night when Maan finished his work. He was tired a lot and was hungry too.

He decided to go have dinner outside and reach home before he starts working again. He closed the files and the laptop and started packing when he heard a knock on the door.

He saw Vicky outside. He motioned for him to come in. he was expecting Vicky only. He never left until Maan did. Always stayed to make sure he doesn't keep working.

'Hi Maan. Work finished?' asked Vicky.

'Yes, it's a long and tiring day and I am starving.' said Maan keeping files in bag. 'And as usual, you haven't left.'

'Ofcourse I haven't. We'll have dinner together today. No excuses' said Vicky.

Maan smiled and said, 'Alright. No excuses today. But I am paying. You wont.'

'Done. But I get to choose the restaurant.'

'As you wish. Let's go.'

Both left. They went to Maan's favorite restaurant. Vicky knew that Maan likes to eat only over here and so he picked that place only. In about 20 minutes, they reached the restaurant. Maan chose a place where he always sits. (in the corner by the window.) It is peaceful here, have privacy, and he enjoys eating food in open air. A waitress came to take the order. They talked about few work things... then Vicky asked, 'Today was one of the best day in your life. Right?'

'You know me so well! You are right. I am very happy today. I met a girl named Geet in FB...' Maan told Vicky about all the things they messaged about. Vicky burst out laughing when Maan told him about baby misunderstanding and also about him talking bad things about her dad to her. He didn't say that she actually thanked him and kept all the questions to himself. Whatever he does, he could never hide anything from Vicky. Out of all his friends he made in high school and college, he felt most comfortable with Vicky only.

Vicky listened to how happily Maan talked about her and soon they finished their dinner and left. Maan slept after taking a quick shower...

India
It was 7 in the morning. Geet was already awake and was picking up her files and laptop and heading down stairs to dining table where no one was there. She went and sat where she always sits and in about 2 minutes Karan and Priya came.

'Good morning Geet.' Said Karan.

She mumbled a wish to him, not looking at him. And at the same time Yash came.

'Good morning everyone.' he said. He hugged Geet first then Priya. She was fuming by now seeing her son hug Geet first.

'Good morning Yash.' said Karan.

Even though she hugged him back, Geet was in her own thoughts. After sitting down next to her, he wished her good morning but she didn't hear it. Yasd went close to her ear and said out loud, 'GOOD MORNING DEE!!!!'

Hearing this Geet came to sense. 'Oh, good morning Yash. Why are you shouting? I am not deaf.'said Geet looking confused.

'Well I wouldn't shout if you answered me at once. Since you have been lost in your own thoughts ,you didn't heard me at all.' said Yash surprisingly.

'You did? Sorry I am just thinking about something.' said Geet looking surprised.

'It's ok Di. But what are you thinking about?' asked Yash.

'Nothing important. You tell, today is you're first day at college. Nervous?'

'You remember!!! Well yes. I am a little nervous.' said Yash.

'You should be nervous. It's normal.' said Karan before Geet could answer.

'Yash, you just work hard. Don't think about anything else. Just give your 100% okay? After all, you have to take care of your dad's business.' said Priya.

After hearing this, Geet got upset. Her eyes got wet. She got up and was about to leave when Yash called after her.

'Dee, where are you going? You haven't finished your breakfast.' asked Yash with concern. He had seen glimpse of tear on her face. Even though he knew she would deny, he asked.

'I am not hungry Yash.' Said geet not looking at him.

'But Dee, you haven't eaten anything!' said Yash looking worried.

'Its okay Yash. I will eat at Pari's house. Bye Yash. Best of luck for your college.' said Geet without looking back and left for Pari's house.

When she reached Pari's house, she was dragged into the kitchen by her without even a hello. She knew Geet would come on empty stomach. She placed toast in front of Geet with glass of juice and ordered her to eat with her eyes. Geet ate quietly since she knew that Pari was giving her the silent treatment. Yet again!

She attempted to talk while eating. 'How was your trip to Shimla?' No answer. she tried again, 'Did you meet any hot guys out there?' Boys were a topic Pari couldn't resist talking. Pari tried hard to keep her mouth shut. Giving up, she asked, 'How'd you know I didn't have breakfast?'

'Come on Geet. I know you for a long time now.' said Pari. 'NOW EAT!!!!'

Ok! I will. Enough with the scolding already. Now tell, boys'

She started talking about tons of boys she met. She told her the story of how one of the guy was trying to flirt with her and then he found out that Pari was his cousin that was coming for the visit to their house! She told her about the weather and tons of other things while Geet ate. Geet listened with a big smile on her face seeing Pari talking excitingly and was eating also. Being with Pari made her forget all her problems and sadness. Since the day they met. Pari had this magic in her that made Geet forget everything. Well at least all the pain she had.

They left after eating to meet a few people regarding job for Pari and the whole week went by in a jiffy. Geet was busy with helping Pari and Maan was busy with the new deal he had signed. Pari kept Geet busy all the time and she never had chance to think about Maan's request of being friends. At night, she would be so tired that she would go straight to bed without having dinner. She talked with Yash and few times when he had doubts about college work.

The new client kept Maan busy with doing all the preparations. His schedule was the same as Geet's and he never had time to open Facebook to see if Geet replied back.

1 week later

India
After one week of hard work Geet was finally free. She was sitting in her room browsing web when suddenly Facebook came to her mind. It led her to think about Maan and their convo and his request. She thought more about it. When opening the page, she saw Maan had replied and said that he will wait till she decides that he can be trusted. Seeing his trust, he knew she could trust him. She also knew that he wasn't the kind of guy who annoyed people just like that since he hadn't sent her another message after that last one asking if she accepted or not. she thought, How can a stranger hurt me? We will never meet since he is in USA and I am India. She smiled and with all the courage, she wrote.

'Hello Maan. How you been? Sorry for the late reply. I was busy for the past one week. I didn't mind you sending me friend request. I am leaving it up to fate that we met. So who am I to refuse your friendship? So lets' be friends. I would love to have a friend like you. I hope we'll be good friends. See you around. Bye'

She sent it. After that, she went to home page and saw a message that said to upgrade Facebook. She didn't care but she hated to use old things. So she clicked on it and it started to upgrade.

Unaware, Maan was using internet at the same moment.

USA

It was Sunday and Maan was home after a tiring week. He had his full sleep and thanks to Jane, he had his yummy breakfast.

Maan was watching TV and browsing net too at the same time. He was thinking something when suddenly Facebook came to his mind. He opened Facebook and logged in. he saw a new message and opened it quickly hoping it was from Geet. When he saw Geet's name, he didn't know why but he felt very happy. After reading that she doesn't mind them being friends, his happiness knew no bounds. He smiled $100 smile and started replying to her without wasting a second.

'Hi Geet! I am so happy you took time to reply me. It's okay. Please don't say sorry. Even I was busy with work for the past one week and I didn't get time either. But just now, I signed in to Facebook and saw your reply. Thank you for that! Well tell me something about you... your hobbies...likes and dislikes... I am sure we would be great friends. If you don't mind, I would like to add you in my friend list at yahoo if that's okay with you. Hope I would to see a reply from you soon buddy. Thanks! See you soon. Take care. Bye.'


He sends it and clicked to go home page and he saw a message that said to upgrade the new Facebook. Maan didn't give it a second thought and clicked to upgrade with a big and a happy smile on his face. He felt like his heart was dancing. The same thing was happening to Geet after she sent him the message. She didn't know why but they both felt like their search is over. But they were unaware of it just yet. They had to understand. They didn't understand what their hearts were telling them but they will soon find out'' Geet logged off as soon as the upgrade got done and so she didn't see that Maan had replied to her right then.

She was about to go to sleep when Yash came in and told her that Pari was on the phone. She wondered why she didn't just call on her cell but nevertheless, she got up to attend it...

From now on the real story begins. From now on, you all will see lot of chats of Maan and Geet... The new start of the unbelieving love story'''''..
